"In the place"

  1.   13 And God went up from him in the place where he talked with him.
14 And Jacob set up a apillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a bdrink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon.
  2.   19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
  3.   17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lordwhich thou hast made for thee to dwell inin the aSanctuary, O Lord, whichthy hands have established.
  4.   29 And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the Lordcontinually.
          •  •  •
35 And it shall be upon Aaron ato minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the Lord, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
          •  •  •
43 And they shall be upon Aaron, and upon his sons, when they acome in unto the btabernacle of the congregation, or when they come near unto the altar to minister in the holyplace; that they cbear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a dstatute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
  5.   30 And that son that is priest in his stead shall put them on seven days, when he cometh into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.
31 ¶ And thou shalt take the ram of the consecration, and aseethe his flesh in the holy place.
  6.   19 The acloths of service, to do service in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office.
  7.   1 And of the blue, and purple, and scarlet, they amade bcloths of service, to do service in the holy place, and made the holy cgarments for Aaron; as the Lord commanded Moses.
          •  •  •
41 The cloths of service to do service in the holy place, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and his sons’ garments, to minister in the priest’s office.
  8.   24 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the goat, and kill it in the place where they kill the burnt offering before the Lord: it is a asin offering.
          •  •  •
29 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay the sin offering in the place of the burnt offering.
          •  •  •
33 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin offering, and slay it for a sin offering in the place where they kill the burnt offering.
  9.   16 And the remainder thereof shall aAaron and his sons eat: with unleavened bread shall it be eaten in the holy bplacein the court of the tabernacle of the congregation they shall eat it.
          •  •  •
25 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, saying, This is the law of the sin offering: In the place where the burnt offering is killed shall the asin offering be killed before the Lord: it ismost holy.
26 The priest that offereth it for sin shall aeat it: in the holy place shall it be eaten, in the court of the tabernacle of the congregation.
27 Whatsoever shall touch the flesh thereof shall be holy: and when there is sprinkled of the blood thereof upon any garment, thou shalt wash that whereon it was sprinkled in the holyplace.
          •  •  •
30 And no sin offering, whereof any of the blood is brought into the tabernacle of the congregation to areconcile withal in the holy place, shall be eaten: it shall be burnt in the fire.
  10.   2 In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.
          •  •  •
6 Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten ain the holy place: it is most holy.
  11.   13 And ye shall aeat it in the holy place, because it is thy due, and thy sons’ due, of the sacrifices of the Lord made by fire: for so I am commanded.
          •  •  •
17 Wherefore have ye not eaten the sin offering in the holy place, seeing it is most holy, and God hath given it you to abear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?
18 Behold, the blood of it was not brought in within the holy place: ye should indeed have eaten it in the holy place, as I commanded.
  12.   19 And in the place of the boil there be a white rising, or a bright spot, white, and somewhat reddish, and it be shewed to the priest;
  13.   13 And he shall slay the lamb in the place where he shall kill the sin aoffering and the burnt offering, in the holy place: for as the sin offering is the priest’s, so is the trespass offering: it is most holy:
          •  •  •
42 And they shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other morter, and shall plaister the house.
  14.   17 And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy place, until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
          •  •  •
24 And he shall wash his flesh with water ain the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
          •  •  •
27 And the bullock for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy place, shall one carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
  15.   9 And it shall be Aaron’s and his sons’; and they shall aeat it in the holy place: for it is most holy unto him of the offerings of the Lord made by fire by a perpetual statute.
  16.   17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
  17.   14 ¶ In the first place went the standard of the camp of the children of aJudah according to their armies: and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
  18.   7 And the drink offering thereof shall be the fourth part of an hin for athe one lamb: in the holy place shalt thou cause the strong wine to be poured unto the Lord for a bdrinkoffering.
  19.   54 And ye shall divide the aland by blot for an cinheritance among your families: and to the more ye shall give the more inheritance, and to the fewer ye shall give the less inheritance: every man’s inheritance shall be in the place where his lot falleth; according to the tribes of your fathers ye shall inherit.
  20.   14 But in the aplace which the Lord shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
          •  •  •
18 But thou must eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
  21.   23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.
  22.   20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the aplace which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household.
  23.   2 Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the apassover unto the Lord thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the bplace which the Lord shall choose to place his name there.
          •  •  •
7 And thou shalt aroast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
          •  •  •
11 And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and thestranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
          •  •  •
15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and inall the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
16 ¶ aThree times in a year shall all thy males bappear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose; in the cfeast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and inthe feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before the Lord empty:
  24.   11 When all Israel is acome to appear before the Lord thy God in the bplace which he shall choose, thou shalt cread this dlaw before all Israel in their hearing.
  25.   3 And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests’ feet stood firm, atwelve bstones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night.
          •  •  •
9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day.
  26.   27 And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the Lord, even unto this day, in the aplace which he should choose.
  27.   26 And build an altar unto the Lord thy God upon the top of this arockin the ordered place, and take the second bullock, and offer a burnt sacrifice with the wood of the grove which thou shalt cut down.
  28.   22 And the people the men of Israel encouraged themselves, and set their battle again in array in the place where they put themselves in array the first day.
  29.   12 And they answered them, and said, He is; behold, he is abefore you: make haste now, for he came to day to the city; for there is a sacrifice of the people to day in the high place:
          •  •  •
22 And Samuel took Saul and his servant, and brought them into the aparlour, and made them sit in the chiefest place among them that were bidden, which were about thirty persons.
  30.   23 Howbeit he refused to turn aside: wherefore Abner with the hinder end of the spear smote him under the afifth rib, that the spear came out behind him; and he fell down there, and died in the same place: and it came to pass, that as many as came to the place where bAsahel fell down and died stood still.
  31.   7 But the man that shall touch them must be afenced with iron and the staff of a spear; and they shall be utterly burned with fire in the same place.
  32.   8 And they drew out the astaves, that the ends of the staves were seen out in the holy place before the boracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are unto this day.
  33.   22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the Lord did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto thesepulchre of thy fathers.
  34.   19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the Lord, Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LordIn the placewhere dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
  35.   39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the tabernacle of the Lord in the ahigh place that was at bGibeon,
  36.   29 For the atabernacle of the Lord, which Moses made in the wilderness, and the altar of the burnt offering, were at that season in the high place at bGibeon.
  37.   1 Then Solomon began to abuild the house of the Lord at Jerusalem in mount bMoriah, where the Lord appeared unto David his father, in the place that David had prepared in thecthreshingfloor of dOrnan the Jebusite.
  38.   7 Also they have shut up the doors of the porch, and put out the lamps, and have not burned incense nor offered burnt offerings in the holy place unto the God of Israel.
  39.   5 And astand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
  40.   19 Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of adragons, and covered us with the bshadow of death.
  41.   17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
  42.   7 Thou calledst in atrouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret bplace of thunder: I cproved thee at the waters of dMeribah. Selah.
  43.   1 He that dwelleth in the asecret place of the most High shall abide under the bshadow of the Almighty.
  44.   21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,
  45.   6 Put not forth thyself in the presence of the king, and stand not in the place of great men:
  46.   3 If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be.
  47.   25 In that day, saith the Lord of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for theLord hath spoken it.
  48.   12 But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more.
  49.   9 My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the placewhere he is: for there is no more abread in the city.
  50.   22 Now therefore know certainly that ye shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, in the place whither ye desire to go and to sojourn.

    1.   16 As I live, saith the Lord God, surely in the place where the king dwelleth that made him king, whose oath he despised, and whose covenant he brake, even with him in the midst ofaBabylon he shall die.
    2.   30 Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity.
    3.   21 Thou shalt take the bullock also of the sin offering, and ahe shall bburn it in the appointed place of the house, cwithout the sanctuary.
    4.   10 ¶ Yet the anumber of the children of Israel shall be as the bsand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the csons of the dliving God.
    5.   13 The asorrows of a btravailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the cbreaking forth of children.
    6.   15 When ye therefore shall see the aabomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the bholy place, (whoso readeth, let him cunderstand:)
    7.   10 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about afive thousand.
    8.   6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in the same place where he was.
    9.   41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden; and in the garden a new asepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid.
    10.   26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the achildren of the living God.
    11.   34 And it came to pass that aIshmael died, and was buried in the place which was called bNahom.
    12.   9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must apray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall bpray unto the Father in thecname of Christ, that he will dconsecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the ewelfare of thy soul.
    13.   23 And now, in the first place, he hath created you, and granted unto you your lives, for which ye are indebted unto him.
    14.   4 Nevertheless, after many days’ wandering in the wilderness we pitched our tents in the place where our brethren were slain, which was near to the land of our fathers.
    15.   20 Now it came to pass that not many days after the battle which was fought in the land of Zarahemla, by the Lamanites and the Amlicites, that there was another army of theLamanites came in upon the people of Nephi, in the asame place where the first army met the Amlicites.
    16.   3 And this is the manner after which they were ordained—being acalled and bprepared from the cfoundation of the world according to the dforeknowledge of God, on account of their exceeding faith and good works; in the first place being left to echoose good or evil; therefore they having chosen good, and exercising exceedingly great ffaith, are gcalled with a holy calling, yea, with that holy calling which was prepared with, and according to, a preparatory redemption for such.
            •  •  •
5 Or in fine, in the first place they were on the asame standing with their brethren; thus this holy calling being prepared from the foundation of the world for such as would not harden their hearts, being in and through the atonement of the Only Begotten Son, who was prepared—
    17.   28 Now, the more aidle part of the Lamanites lived in the wilderness, and dwelt in tents; and they were spread through the wilderness on the west, in the land of Nephi; yea, and also on the west of the land of Zarahemla, in the borders by the seashore, and on the west in the land of Nephi, in the place of their fathers’ first inheritance, and thus bordering along bythe seashore.
    18.   16 And it came to pass that as Ammon was going forth into the land, that he and his brethren met Alma, over in the aplace of which has been spoken; and behold, this was a joyful meeting.
    19.   22 And now, behold, I say unto you, and I would that ye should remember, that God is amerciful unto all who believe on his name; therefore he desireth, in the first place, that ye should believe, yea, even on his word.
    20.   10 And the earth was carried up upon the city of aMoronihah, that in the place of the city there became a great bmountain.
    21.   3 Yea, and even all the night it was noised abroad concerning Jesus; and insomuch did they send forth unto the people that there were many, yea, an exceedingly great number, did labor exceedingly all that night, that they might be on the morrow in the place where Jesus should show himself unto the multitude.
    22.   4 And behold, ye shall take the aplates of Nephi unto yourself, and the remainder shall ye leave in the place where they are; and ye shall engrave on the plates of Nephi all the things that ye have observed concerning this people.
    23.   32 And I also remember that thou hast said that thou hast prepared a house for man, yea, even among the amansions of thy Father, in which man might have a more excellent bhope; wherefore man must hope, or he cannot receive an inheritance in the place which thou hast prepared.
            •  •  •
37 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made aclean. And because thou hast seen thy bweakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
    24.   53 Thou shalt astand in the place of thy stewardship.
    25.   4 And also to be an aagent unto this church in the place which shall be appointed by the bishop, according to commandments which shall be given hereafter.
    26.   7 These seven shall have power to appoint other high priests, whom they may consider worthy and capable to act in the place of absent councilors.
    27.   5 And it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord that he would give unto the Gentiles grace, that they might have charity. And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been afaithful; wherefore thy garments shall be made bclean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father. And now I . . . bid farewell unto the Gentiles; yea, and also unto my brethren whom I love, until we shall meet before the cjudgment-seat of Christ, where all men shall know that my garments are not spotted with your blood. The dtestators are now dead, and their etestament is inforce.
    28.   12 When you, therefore, shall see the aabomination of bdesolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, concerning the destruction of cJerusalem, then you shall stand in the dholy place; whoso readeth let him understand.
    29.   5 Some time in the second year after our removal to Manchester, there was in the place where we lived an unusual excitement on the subject of religion. It commenced with theMethodists, but soon became general among all the sects in that region of country. Indeed, the whole district of country seemed affected by it, and great multitudes united themselves tothe different religious parties, which created no small stir and division amongst the people, some crying, “aLo, here!” and others, “Lo, there!” Some were contending for the Methodist faith, some for the Presbyterian, and some for the Baptist.
            •  •  •
64 “I went to the city of New York, and presented the characters which had been translated, with the translation thereof, to Professor Charles Anthon, a gentleman celebrated for his literary attainments. Professor Anthon stated that the translation was correct, more so than any he had before seen translated from the Egyptian. I then showed him those which were not yet translated, and he said that they were Egyptian, Chaldaic, Assyriac, and Arabic; and he said they were true characters. He gave me a certificate, certifying to the people of Palmyra that they were true characters, and that the translation of such of them as had been translated was also correct. I took the certificate and put it into my pocket, and was just leaving thehouse, when Mr. Anthon called me back, and asked me how the young man found out that there were gold plates in the place where he found them. I answered that an angel of God had revealed it unto him.
