"Come upon us"

  1.   21 ¶ And they said one to another, We are verily aguilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
  2.   17 Then my anger shall be kindled against them in that day, and I will forsake them, and I will ahide my face from them, and they shall be devoured, and many evils and troubles shall befall them; so that they will say in that day, Are not these evils come upon us, because our God is not among us?
  3.   6 For the Lord had made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of achariots, and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host: and they said one to another, Lo, the king of Israel hath hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us.

      9 Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day is a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace: if we tarry till the morning light, some mischief will come upon us: now therefore come, that we may go and tell the king’s household.
  4.   13 And after all that is come upon us for our aevil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our biniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
  5.   32 Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the aterrible God, who bkeepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our priests, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Assyria unto this day.
  6.   17 All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.
  7.   12 They have belied the Lord, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see asword nor famine:
  8.   26 ¶ O daughter of my people, gird thee with asackcloth, and wallow thyself in ashes: make thee mourning, as for an bonly son, most bitter lamentation: for the spoiler shall suddenly come upon us.
  9.   47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.
  10.   1 Remember, O Lord, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach.
  11.   13 As it is written in the alaw of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
  12.   11 The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the aprophets thereof divine for bmoney: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.
  13.   7 But the chief acaptain Lysias came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands,
  14.   14 And I, Nephi, did take the asword of Laban, and after the manner of it did make many bswords, lest by any means the people who were now called Lamanites should come upon us and destroy us; for I knew their chatred towards me and my children and those who were called my people.
  15.   2 And I set guards round about the land, that the Lamanites might not come upon us again unawares and destroy us; and thus I did guard my people and my flocks, and keep them from falling into the hands of our enemies.
  16.   13 And thou hast shed the ablood of a righteous man, yea, a man who has done much good among this people; and were we to spare thee his blood would come upon us for bvengeance.
  17.   7 And behold, he spake unto us, as it were the voice of thunder, and the whole earth did atremble beneath our feet; and we all fell to the earth, for the bfear of the Lord came upon us.
  18.   19 And thus were we favored of the Lord; for had they come upon us in this our weakness they might have perhaps destroyed our little army; but thus were we preserved.

      21 Now we were desirous that the Lamanites should come upon us; for we were not desirous to make an attack upon them in their strongholds.
  19.   9 And it came to pass that we did camp round about the city for many nights; but we did sleep upon our swords, and keep guards, that the Lamanites could not come upon us by night and slay us, which they attempted many times; but as many times as they attempted this their blood was spilt.
  20.   17 But behold, now the Lamanites are coming upon us, taking apossession of our lands, and they are murdering our people with the sword, yea, our women and our children, and also carrying them away captive, causing them that they should suffer all manner of afflictions, and this because of the great wickedness of those who are seeking for power and authority, yea, even those king-men.
  21.   8 Yea, behold, all the judgments will come upon us which he has testified unto us; for we know that he has testified aright unto us concerning our iniquities. And behold they are many, and he aknoweth as well all things which shall befall us as he knoweth of our iniquities;
  22.   3 And it came to pass that in the three hundred and twenty and seventh year the Lamanites did come upon us with aexceedingly great power, insomuch that they did frighten my armies; therefore they would not fight, and they began to retreat towards the bnorth countries.
      4 And it came to pass that we did come to the city of Angola, and we did take possession of the city, and make preparations to defend ourselves against the Lamanites. And it came to pass that we did afortify the city with our might; but notwithstanding all our fortifications the Lamanites did come upon us and did drive us out of the city.
