"Your brethren"

  1.   19 If ye be true men, let one of your brethren be bound in the house of your prison: go ye, carry corn for the famine of your houses:
          •  •  •
      33 And the man, the lord of the country, said unto us, Hereby shall I know that ye are true men; leave one of your brethren here with me, and take food for the famine of your households, and be gone:
  2.   4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of aUzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.
          •  •  •
      6 And Moses said unto Aaron, and unto Eleazar and unto Ithamar, his sons, Uncover not your aheads, neither brend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord hath kindled.
  3.   46 And ye shall take them as an ainheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen bfor ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
  4.   6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the aLevites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the Lord, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  5.   6 ¶ And Moses said unto the children of Gad and to the children of Reuben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall ye sit here?
  6.   16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and ajudge righteously between every man and his brother, and the bstranger that is with him.
  7.   4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore:
  8.   18 ¶ And I commanded you at that time, saying, The Lord your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, aall that are meet for the war.
          •  •  •
      20 Until the Lord have given arest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the land which the Lord your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
  9.   14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them;
      15 Until the Lord have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the land which the Lord your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the Lord’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising.
  10.   3 Ye have not left your brethren these many days unto this day, but have kept the charge of the commandment of the Lord your God.
      4 And now the Lord your God hath given arest unto your brethren, as he promised them: therefore now return ye, and get you unto your tents, and unto the bland of your possession, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you on the other side Jordan.
          •  •  •
      8 And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
  11.   24 Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your abrethren the children of Israel: return every man to his house; for this thing is from me. They hearkened therefore to the word of the Lord, and returned to depart, according to the word of the Lord.
  12.   12 And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
  13.   4 Thus saith the Lord, Ye shall not go up, nor fight against your brethren: return every man to his house: for this thing is done of me. And they obeyed the words of the Lord, and returned from going against Jeroboam.
  14.   10 And what acause soever shall come to you of your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and judgments, ye shall even bwarn them that they trespass not against the Lord, and so wrath come upon you, and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not trespass.
  15.   11 Now hear me therefore, and deliver the acaptives again, which ye have taken captive of your brethren: for the fierce wrath of the Lord is upon you.
  16.   7 And be not ye like your afathers, and like your brethren, which trespassed against the Lord God of their fathers, who therefore gave them up to desolation, as ye see.
          •  •  •
      9 For if ye aturn again unto the Lord, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the Lord your God is gracious and bmerciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if ye return unto him.
  17.   5 And astand in the holy place according to the divisions of the families of the fathers of your brethren the people, and after the division of the families of the Levites.
      6 So kill the passover, and asanctify yourselves, and bprepare your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses.
  18.   14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye aafraid of them: remember the Lord, which is great and bterrible, and cfight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your dwives, and your houses.
  19.   8 And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
  20.   5 ¶ Hear the word of the Lord, ye that tremble at his word; your brethren that hated you, that acast you out for my name’s sake, said, Let the Lord be bglorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.
          •  •  •
      20 And they shall bring all your brethren for an aoffering unto the Lord out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the Lord, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the Lord.
  21.   15 And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim.
  22.   16 Know that thus saith the Lord of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;
  23.   1 Say ye unto your brethren, aAmmi; and to your sisters, bRuhamah.
  24.   47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so?
  25.   22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A aprophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
  26.   37 ¶ This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A aprophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear.
  27.   26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the aflesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are bcalled:
  28.   8 Nay, ye do wrong, and adefraud, and that your brethren.
  29.   9 Whom resist astedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are baccomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
  30.   24 Wherefore I spake unto them, saying: Hear ye the words of the prophet, ye who are a aremnant of the house of Israel, a bbranch who have been broken off; chear ye the words of the prophet, which were written unto all the house of Israel, and liken them unto yourselves, that ye may have hope as well as your brethren from whom ye have been broken off; for after this manner has the prophet written.
  31.   13 And the hand of providence hath smiled upon you most pleasingly, that you have obtained many riches; and because some of you have obtained more abundantly than that of your brethren ye are alifted up in the pride of your hearts, and wear stiff necks and high heads because of the costliness of your apparel, and persecute your brethren because ye suppose that ye are better than they.
          •  •  •
      17 Think of your abrethren like unto yourselves, and be familiar with all and free with your bsubstance, that cthey may be rich like unto you.
  32.   5 Behold, the Lamanites your brethren, whom ye hate because of their filthiness and the cursing which hath come upon their skins, are more righteous than you; for they have not aforgotten the commandment of the Lord, which was given unto our father—that they should have save it were bone wife, and cconcubines they should have none, and there should not be dwhoredoms committed among them.
  33.   54 Yea, will ye persist in supposing that ye are better one than another; yea, will ye persist in the persecution of your brethren, who humble themselves and do walk after the holy order of God, wherewith they have been brought into this church, having been asanctified by the Holy Spirit, and they do bring forth works which are meet for repentance—
  34.   6 But behold, I trust that ye are not in a state of so much unbelief as were your brethren; I trust that ye are not lifted up in the pride of your hearts; yea, I trust that ye have not set your hearts upon riches and the vain things of the world; yea, I trust that you do not worship aidols, but that ye do worship the true and the bliving God, and that ye look forward for the remission of your sins, with an everlasting faith, which is to come.
          •  •  •
      18 For as I said unto you from the beginning, that I had much desire that ye were not in the state of adilemma like your brethren, even so I have found that my desires have been gratified.
  35.   4 And now, when the king heard these words, he said unto them: Now I know that it is the Great Spirit; and he has come down at this time to preserve your lives, that I might not aslay you as I did your brethren. Now this is the Great Spirit of whom our fathers have spoken.
  36.   12 I say unto you, it is well that ye are cast out of your synagogues, that ye may be humble, and that ye may learn awisdom; for it is necessary that ye should learn wisdom; for it is because that ye are cast out, that ye are despised of your brethren because of your exceeding bpoverty, that ye are brought to a lowliness of heart; for ye are necessarily brought to be humble.
  37.   14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal ajustly, bjudge righteously, and do cgood continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your dreward; yea, ye shall have emercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.
  38.   7 Can you think to sit upon your thrones in a state of thoughtless astupor, while your enemies are spreading the work of death around you? Yea, while they are murdering thousands of your brethren
          •  •  •
      12 Do ye asuppose that, because so many of your brethren have been killed it is because of their wickedness? I say unto you, if ye have supposed this ye have supposed in vain; for I say unto you, there are many who have fallen by the sword; and behold it is to your condemnation;
  39.   14 And not at any time hath the Father given me commandment that I should atell it unto your brethren at Jerusalem.
  40.   8 For I perceive that ye desire that I should show unto you what I have done unto your brethren at Jerusalem, for I see that your afaith is bsufficient that I should heal you.
  41.   23 Behold, I am he of whom Moses spake, saying: aA prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that prophet shall be cut off from among the people.
  42.   5 The aplace is not yet to be brevealed; but after your brethren come from the east there are to be certain men appointed, and to them it shall be given to know the place, or to them it shall be revealed.
  43.   3 And if your brethren desire to escape their enemies, let them repent of all their sins, and become truly ahumble before me and contrite.
  44.   18 And now I give unto you a commandment that what I say unto one I say unto all, that you shall forewarn your brethren concerning these waters, that they come not in journeying upon them, lest their faith fail and they are caught in snares;
          •  •  •
      26 And, behold, this commandment you shall give unto all your brethren.
  45.   25 Wherefore, I, the Lord, give unto you this commandment, that ye obtain places for your afamilies, inasmuch as your brethren are willing to open their hearts.
  46.   76 But, verily I say unto all those to whom the kingdom has been given—from you it amust be bpreached unto them, that they shall repent of their former evil works; for they are to be upbraided for their evil chearts of unbelief, and your brethren in Zion for their drebellion against you at the time I sent you.
  47.   32 And behold, verily I say unto you, that ye shall awrite this commandment, and say unto your brethren in Zion, in love greeting, that I have called you also to bpreside over Zion in mine own due time.
          •  •  •
      34 Behold, I say unto you that your brethren in Zion begin to repent, and the angels rejoice over them.
  48.   1 Verily I say unto you my friends, I speak unto you with my avoice, even the voice of my Spirit, that I may show unto you my will concerning your brethren in the land of bZion, many of whom are truly humble and are seeking diligently to learn wisdom and to find truth.
  49.   6 Therefore, I, the Lord, justify you, and your brethren of my church, in befriending that law which is the aconstitutional law of the land;
  50.   1 Verily I say unto you, concerning your brethren who have been afflicted, and apersecuted, and bcast out from the land of their inheritance—

  51.   1 Verily I say unto you, my friends, behold, I will give unto you a revelation and commandment, that you may know how to aact in the discharge of your duties concerning the salvation and bredemption of your brethren, who have been scattered on the land of Zion;
          •  •  •
      11 But verily I say unto you, I have decreed that your brethren which have been scattered shall return to the alands of their inheritances, and shall bbuild up the waste places of Zion.
          •  •  •
      13 Behold, this is the blessing which I have promised after your tribulations, and the tribulations of your brethrenyour redemption, and the redemption of your brethren, even their restoration to the land of Zion, to be established, no more to be thrown down.
  52.   47 And now, a commandment I give unto you concerning Zion, that you shall no longer be bound as a aunited order to your brethren of Zion, only on this wise—
      48 After you are organized, you shall be called the United Order of the aStake of Zion, the City of Kirtland. And your brethren, after they are organized, shall be called the United Order of the City of Zion.
          •  •  •
      53 Therefore, you are dissolved as a united order with your brethren, that you are not bound only up to this hour unto them, only on this wise, as I said, by aloan as shall be agreed by this order in council, as your circumstances will admit and the voice of the council direct.
  53.   7 Therefore, astrengthen your brethren in all your conversation, in all your prayers, in all your exhortations, and in all your doings.
  54.   6 Let the hearts of your brethren rejoice, and let the hearts of all my people rejoice, who have, with their might, abuilt this house to my name.
  55.   21 And again, I say unto you, that whosoever ye shall send in my name, by the voice of your brethren, the aTwelve, duly recommended and bauthorized by you, shall have power to open the door of my kingdom unto any nation whithersoever ye shall send them—
  56.   54 For I am the Lord your God, and will save all those of your brethren who have been apure in heart, and have been bslain in the land of Missouri, saith the Lord.
  57.
