"The glory of"

  1.   7 And in the morning, then ye shall see the aglory of the Lord; for that he heareth your murmurings against the Lord: and what are we, that ye murmur against us?
          •  •  •
      10 And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the aglory of the Lord appeared in the bcloud.
  2.   16 And the aglory of the Lord abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud.
      17 And the asight of the bglory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
  3.   34 ¶ Then a acloud covered the tent of the congregation, and the bglory of the Lord cfilled the dtabernacle.
      35 And Moses was not able to enter into the tent of the congregation, because the cloud abode thereon, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
  4.   6 And Moses said, This is the thing which the Lord commanded that ye should do: and the aglory of the Lord shall appear unto you.
          •  •  •
      23 And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the aglory of the Lord appeared unto all the people.
  5.   10 But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the aglory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.
          •  •  •
      21 But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be afilled with the glory of the Lord.
  6.   19 And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto all the congregation.
          •  •  •
      42 And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared.
  7.   6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the atabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.
  8.   11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the aglory of the Lord had filled the house of the Lord.
  9.   10 Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath alifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee?
  10.   14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the acloud: for the bglory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
  11.   1 Now when Solomon had made an end of apraying, the bfire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the house.
      2 And the priests could not enter into the house of the Lord, because the aglory of the Lord had filled the Lord’s house.
      3 And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and aworshipped, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.
  12.   11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had apromoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
  13.   20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
  14.   1 The aheavens bdeclare the cglory of God; and the firmament sheweth his dhandywork.
  15.   16 Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased;
  16.   9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake.
  17.   17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our ahorn shall be exalted.
  18.   31 The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever: the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
  19.   5 Yea, they shall asing in the ways of the Lord: for great is the glory of the Lord.
  20.   11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
  21.   6 aChildren’s children are the bcrown of old men; and the cglory of dchildren are their fathers.
  22.   29 The aglory of young men is their strength: and the bbeauty of cold men is the dgray head.
  23.   2 It is the glory of God to aconceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.
  24.   10 ¶ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty.
          •  •  •
      19 And they shall go into the aholes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for bfear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
          •  •  •
      21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
  25.   12 Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will apunish bthe fruit of the stout heart of the king of cAssyria, and the glory of his high looks.
          •  •  •
      18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both asoul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth.
  26.   19 ¶ And aBabylon, the glory of kingdoms, the bbeauty of the cChaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God doverthrew eSodom and Gomorrah.
  27.   14 But now the Lord hath spoken, saying, Within three years, as the years of an hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be contemned, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble.
  28.   3 The fortress also shall cease from aEphraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts.
      4 And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean.
  29.   16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of aKedar shall fail:
  30.   24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
  31.   2 It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of aLebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the bglory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.
  32.   5 And the aglory of the Lord shall be brevealed, and all flesh shall csee it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.
  33.   8 ¶ Then shall thy alight break forth as the morning, and thine bhealth shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy crereward.
  34.   1 aArise, shine; for thy blight is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
          •  •  •
      13 The glory of aLebanon shall come unto thee, the bfir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to cbeautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my dfeet glorious.
  35.   12 For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her alike a river, and the glory of the bGentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
  36.   28 As the appearance of the abow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the bappearance of the likeness of the cglory of the dLord. And when I saw it, I efell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
  37.   12 Then the aspirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.
          •  •  •
      23 Then I arose, and went forth into the plain: and, behold, the glory of the Lord stood there, as the glory which I saw by the river of Chebar: and I afell on my face.
  38.   4 And, behold, athe glory of the God of Israel was there, according to the vision that I saw in the bplain.
  39.   3 And the glory of the God of Israel was gone up from the acherub, whereupon he was, to the threshold of the house. And he called to the man clothed with linen, which had the writer’s inkhorn by his side;
  40.   4 Then the glory of the Lord went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the acloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the Lord’s glory.
          •  •  •
      18 Then the aglory of the Lord bdeparted from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims.
      19 And the acherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the beast gate of the Lord’s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
  41.   22 ¶ Then did the cherubims lift up their wings, and the wheels beside them; and the aglory of the God of Israel was over them above.
      23 And the aglory of the Lord went up from the midst of the city, and stood upon the mountain which is on the east side of the city.
  42.   6 In the day that I lifted up mine hand unto them, to abring them forth of the land of Egypt into a bland that I had cespied for them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the dglory of all lands:
          •  •  •
      15 Yet also I lifted up my hand unto them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the aland which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, which is the glory of all lands;
  43.   9 Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, aBeth-jeshimoth, bBaal-meon, and Kiriathaim,
  44.   2 And, behold, the aglory of the God of Israel came from the way of the beast: and his cvoice was like a noise of many dwaters: and the earth eshined with his fglory.
          •  •  •
      4 And the glory of the Lord acame into the bhouse by the way of the gate cwhose prospect is toward the east.
      5 So the aspirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the bglory of the Lord filled the house.
  45.   4 ¶ Then brought he me the way of the anorth gate before the house: and I looked, and, behold, the bglory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord: and I cfell upon my face.
  46.   36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
  47.   20 Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle.
  48.   15 Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.
  49.   9 Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
  50.   14 For the aearth shall be filled with the bknowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.

  51.   9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give apeace, saith the Lord of hosts.
  52.   7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of aDavid and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.
  53.   8 aAgain, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the bkingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
  54.   2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the ahypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have bglory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
  55.   27 For the aSon of man shall come in the bglory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall creward every man according to his dworks.
  56.   38 Whosoever therefore shall be aashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the bSon of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy cangels.
  57.   9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the aglory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
          •  •  •
      32 A alight bto lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
  58.   6 And the devil said unto him, All this apower will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
  59.   14 And the Word was made aflesh, and bdwelt among us, (and we cbeheld his dglory, the glory as of the eonly fbegotten of the Father,) full of ggrace and truth.
  60.   4 When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the aglory of God, that the Son of God might be bglorified thereby.
          •  •  •
      40 Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the aglory of God?
  61.   55 But he, being full of the aHoly Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the bglory of cGod, and dJesus estanding on the fright hand of God,
  62.   11 And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.
  63.   23 And changed the glory of the auncorruptible God into an bimage made like to ccorruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
  64.   23 For all have asinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  65.   2 By whom also we have access by afaith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
  66.   4 Therefore we are aburied with him by bbaptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the cdead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should dwalk in enewness of life.
  67.   7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
  68.   16 For though I preach the agospel, I have nothing to glory of: for bnecessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I cpreach not the gospel!
  69.   31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, ado all to the glory of God.
  70.   7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
  71.   40 aThere are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the bcelestial is one, and the glory of the cterrestrial is another.
      41 There is one glory of the asun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the bstars: for one star cdiffereth from another star in dglory.
  72.   20 For all the apromises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
  73.   7 But if the ministration of adeath, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the bglory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
          •  •  •
      18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a aglass the bglory of the Lord, are changed into the same cimage from dglory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
  74.   6 For God, who acommanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath bshined in our hearts, to give the clight of the knowledge of the dglory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
          •  •  •
      15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the athanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.
  75.   19 And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
          •  •  •
      23 Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.
  76.   30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
  77.   5 Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not aglory, but in mine infirmities.
  78.   6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
          •  •  •
      18 The eyes of your aunderstanding being benlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the criches of the glory of his dinheritance in the saints,
  79.   11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is aLord, to the glory of God the Father.
  80.   27 To whom God would make aknown what is the briches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
  81.   6 Nor of men sought we aglory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
  82.   9 Who shall be apunished with beverlasting cdestruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;
  83.   14 Whereunto he called you by our agospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  84.   24 For all aflesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
  85.   14 If ye be areproached for the name of Christ, bhappy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
  86.   8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.
  87.   11 Having the aglory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
          •  •  •
      23 And the city had no need of the asun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the bLamb is the clight thereof.
  88.   13 And as for those who are at Jerusalem, saith the prophet, they shall be ascourged by all people, because they crucify the God of Israel, and turn their hearts aside, rejecting signs and wonders, and the power and glory of the God of Israel.
  89.   25 And I exceedingly fear and tremble because of you, lest he shall suffer again; for behold, ye have aaccused him that he sought power and bauthority over you; but I know that he hath not sought for power nor authority over you, but he hath sought the glory of God, and your own eternal welfare.
  90.   10 O ye wicked ones, enter into the rock, and ahide thee in the dust, for the fear of the Lord and the glory of his majesty shall smite thee.
          •  •  •
      19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for the fear of the Lord shall come upon them and the aglory of his majesty shall smite them, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
  91.   5 And the aLord will create upon every dwelling-place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a bcloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for upon all the glory of Zion shall be a defence.
  92.   12 Wherefore it shall come to pass that when the Lord hath performed his whole work upon Mount Zion and upon Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of aAssyria, and the glory of his high looks.
          •  •  •
      18 And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body; and they shall be as when a standard-bearer fainteth.
  93.   19 And aBabylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew bSodom and Gomorrah.
  94.   16 And now, because of the glory of the world and to get again will they say this, and not for the glory of God.
  95.   11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have atasted of his love, and have received a bremission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own cnothingness, and his dgoodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of ehumility, fcalling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing gsteadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
      12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the alove of God, and always bretain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the cknowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
  96.   11 Nevertheless, in this I do not glory, for I am unworthy to glory of myself.
  97.   22 And he caused that the priests should assemble themselves together; and they began to fast, and to pray to the Lord their God that he would open the mouth of Alma, that he might speak, and also that his limbs might receive their strength—that the eyes of the people might be opened to see and know of the goodness and glory of God.
  98.   50 Yea, thus saith the Spirit: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand; yea, the Son of God cometh in his aglory, in his might, majesty, power, and dominion. Yea, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, that the Spirit saith: Behold the glory of the bKing of all the earth; and also the King of heaven shall very soon shine forth among all the children of men.
  99.   26 And anot many days hence the Son of God shall come in his bglory; and his glory shall be the glory of the Only Begotten of the Father, full of cgrace, equity, and truth, full of patience, dmercy, and long-suffering, quick to ehear the cries of his people and to answer their prayers.
  100.   6 Now, this was what Ammon desired, for he knew that king Lamoni was under the power of God; he knew that the dark aveil of bunbelief was being cast away from his mind, and the clight which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God, which was a marvelous light of his goodness—yea, this light had infused such joy into his soul, the cloud of darkness having been dispelled, and that the light of everlasting life was lit up in his soul, yea, he knew that this had dovercome his natural frame, and he was carried away in God—

  101.   9 I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do anot bglory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy.
  102.   36 Behold, I am Moroni, your chief captain. I aseek not for power, but to pull it down. I bseek not for honor of the world, but for the glory of my God, and the freedom and welfare of my country. And thus I close mine epistle.
  103.   5 Condemning the righteous because of their righteousness; letting the guilty and the wicked go aunpunished because of their bmoney; and moreover to be held in office at the head of government, to rule and do according to their wills, that they might get gain and glory of the cworld, and, moreover, that they might the more easily commit adultery, and steal, and kill, and do according to their own wills—
  104.   23 And behold, he is God, and he is awith them, and he did manifest himself unto them, that they were redeemed by him; and they gave unto him glory, because of that which is to come.
  105.   2 Therefore, when ye shall do your alms do not sound a trumpet before you, as will hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have aglory of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
  106.   5 For behold, when ye shall be brought to see your anakedness before God, and also the glory of God, and the bholiness of Jesus Christ, it will kindle a flame of unquenchable fire upon you.
  107.   7 And now Jared became exceedingly asorrowful because of the loss of the kingdom, for he had set his heart upon the kingdom and upon the glory of the world.
  108.   25 My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto adeath; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and blong-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your cmind forever.
  109.   5 And afaith, bhope, ccharity and dlove, with an eeye single to the fglory of God, gqualify him for the work.
  110.   19 Therefore we will destroy him, and also the work; and we will do this that we may not be ashamed in the end, and that we may get aglory of the world.
  111.   67 And the aglory of the Lord shall be there, and the bterror of the Lord also shall be there, insomuch that the wicked will not come unto it, and it shall be called Zion.
  112.   41 For, behold, I say unto you that aZion shall flourish, and the bglory of the Lord shall be upon her;
  113.   19 And while we ameditated upon these things, the Lord touched the eyes of our understandings and they were opened, and the bglory of the Lord shone round about.
      20 And we beheld the aglory of the Son, on the bright hand of the cFather, and received of his fulness;
          •  •  •
      39 For all the rest shall be abrought forth by the resurrection of the dead, through the btriumph and the glory of the Lamb, who was slain, who was in the bosom of the Father cbefore the worlds were made.
          •  •  •
      70 These are they whose bodies are acelestial, whose bglory is that of the csun, even the glory of God, the dhighest of all, whose glory the sun of the firmament is written of as being typical.
          •  •  •
      81 And again, we asaw the glory of the btelestial, which glory is that of the lesser, even as the cglory of the stars differs from that of the glory of the moon in the firmament.
          •  •  •
      89 And thus we saw, in the heavenly vision, the glory of the atelestial, which surpasses all understanding;
          •  •  •
      91 And thus we saw the glory of the aterrestrial which excels in all things the glory of the telestial, even in glory, and in power, and in might, and in dominion.
      92 And thus we saw the aglory of the celestial, which bexcels in all things—where God, even the Father, reigns upon his cthrone forever and ever;
          •  •  •
      96 And the glory of the celestial is one, even as the glory of the asun is one.
      97 And the glory of the terrestrial is one, even as the glory of the moon is one.
      98 And the glory of the telestial is one, even as the glory of the stars is one; for as one star differs from another star in glory, even so differs one from another in glory in the telestial world;
  114.   3 Q. Are the four beasts limited to individual beasts, or do they represent classes or aorders?
      A. They are limited to four individual beasts, which were shown to John, to represent the glory of the classes of beings in their destined border or csphere of creation, in the enjoyment of their deternal efelicity.
  115.   4 For a permanent and everlasting establishment and order unto my church, to advance the cause, which ye have espoused, to the salvation of man, and to the glory of your Father who is in heaven;
