"Because thou hast"

  1.   14 And the Lord God said unto the aserpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art bcursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
          •  •  •
      17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy awife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: bcursed is the ground for thy sake; in csorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
  2.   16 And said, By myself have I asworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son:
          •  •  •
      18 And in thy aseed shall all the nations of the earth be bblessed; because thou hast cobeyed my voice.
  3.   29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I akill thee.
  4.   14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not asell her at all for money, thou shalt not bmake merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
  5.   9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the aland whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children’s for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the Lord my God.
  6.   14 But now thy akingdom shall not continue: the Lord hath bsought him a cman after his own dheart, and the Lord hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the Lord commanded thee.
  7.   23 For arebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and bstubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast crejected the word of the Lord, he hath also drejected thee from being king.
  8.   10 Now therefore the sword shall never depart from thine house; because thou hast adespised me, and hast taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife.
  9.   26 ¶ And unto aAbiathar the priest said the king, Get thee to bAnathoth, unto thine own fields; for thou art worthy of death: but I will not at this time put thee to death, because thou barest the ark of the Lord God before David my father, and because thou hast been afflicted in all wherein my father was afflicted.
  10.   11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked ariches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine benemies; but hast asked for thyself cunderstanding to discern judgment;
  11.   36 Then said he unto him, Because thou hast not obeyed the voice of the Lord, behold, as soon as thou art departed from me, a lion shall slay thee. And as soon as he was departed from him, a lion found him, and slew him.
          •  •  •
      42 And he said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Because thou hast let go out of thy hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore thy alife shall go for his life, and thy people for his people.
  12.   20 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy? And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold thyself to work evil in the sight of the Lord.
  13.   30 And the Lord said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the athrone of Israel.
  14.   8 But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight.
  15.   3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou hast been a man of awar, and hast shed blood.
  16.   7 ¶ And at that time Hanani the aseer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the bking of Syria, and not crelied on the Lord thy God, therefore is the host of the king of dSyria escaped out of thine hand.
  17.   37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.
  18.   12 ¶ And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of David thy father, Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of aAsa king of Judah,
  19.   16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, aArt thou made of the king’s counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou hast done this, and hast not hearkened unto my counsel.
  20.   9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
  21.   7 Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
  22.   17 Shew me a token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, Lord, hast holpen me, and comforted me.
  23.   9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
  24.   20 Thou shalt not be ajoined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the bseed of cevildoers shall never be renowned.
  25.   10 Because athou hast bforgotten the God of thy csalvation, and hast not been mindful of the drock of thy strength, therefore eshalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
  26.   19 ¶ My abowels, my bowels! I am bpained at my very heart; my heart maketh a noise in me; I cannot hold my peace, because thou hast heard, O my soul, the sound of the trumpet, the alarm of war.
  27.   25 This is thy lot, the portion of thy measures from me, saith the Lord; because thou hast forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.
  28.   16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt adie, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.
  29.   25 Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,
  30.   18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy alife shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.
  31.   7 ¶ For because thou hast trusted in thy aworks and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into bcaptivity with his priests and his princes together.
  32.   24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O Babylon, and thou wast not aware: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the Lord.
  33.   20 Again, When a arighteous man doth bturn from his crighteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a dstumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
  34.   11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord God; Surely, because thou hast adefiled my sanctuary with all thy bdetestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also cdiminish thee; neither shall mine eye dspare, neither will I have any pity.
  35.   43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will arecompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
  36.   30 I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a awhoring after the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols.
          •  •  •
      35 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast aforgotten me, and cast me behind thy back, therefore bbear thou also thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.
  37.   6 For thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy adespite against the land of Israel;
  38.   6 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast set thine heart as the heart of God;
  39.   10 ¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because thou hast lifted up thyself in height, and he hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his aheart is lifted up in his height;
  40.   5 Because thou hast had a perpetual ahatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end:
          •  •  •
      10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will apossess it; whereas the Lord was there:
  41.   6 ¶ My people are destroyed for lack of aknowledge: because thou hast brejected cknowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the dlaw of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
  42.   8 Because thou hast aspoiled many nations, all the remnant of the people shall spoil thee; because of men’s blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein.
  43.   25 ¶ At that time Jesus answered and said, I athank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast bhid these things from the wise and cprudent, and hast drevealed them unto ebabes.
  44.   17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been afaithful in a very little, have thou bauthority over ten cities.
  45.   29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast aseen me, thou hast believed: bblessed are they that have not seen, and yet have cbelieved.
  46.   20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the agift of God may be bpurchased with money.
  47.   4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first alove.
          •  •  •
      14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of aBalaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit bfornication.
  48.   10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will akeep thee from the hour of btemptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
  49.   17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God aAlmighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
  50.   5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast ajudged thus.

  51.   1 For behold, it came to pass that the Lord spake unto my father, yea, even in a dream, and said unto him: Blessed art thou Lehi, because of the things which thou hast done; and because thou hast been faithful and declared unto this people the things which I commanded thee, behold, they seek to atake away thy blife.
  52.   6 Therefore go, my son, and thou shalt be favored of the Lord, because thou hast anot bmurmured.
  53.   31 Wherefore, because thou hast been faithful thy seed shall be blessed awith his seed, that they dwell in prosperity long upon the face of this land; and nothing, save it shall be iniquity among them, shall harm or disturb their prosperity upon the face of this land forever.
  54.   20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land and slain thy people; the aseed of bevil-doers shall never be renowned.
  55.   17 And blessed art thou because thou hast established a achurch among this people; and they shall be established, and they shall be my people.
          •  •  •
      19 And because thou hast inquired of me concerning the transgressor, thou art blessed.
  56.   26 And now, Amulek, because thou hast fed me and taken me in, thou art blessed; for I was an hungered, for I had fasted many days.
  57.   16 And it came to pass that Ammon, being filled with the aSpirit of God, therefore he perceived the bthoughts of the king. And he said unto him: Is it because thou hast heard that I defended thy servants and thy flocks, and slew cseven of their brethren with the sling and with the sword, and smote off the arms of others, in order to defend thy flocks and thy servants; behold, is it this that causeth thy marvelings?
  58.   5 And now, because thou hast done this with such unwearyingness, behold, I will bless thee forever; and I will make thee mighty in word and in deed, in faith and in works; yea, even that aall things shall be bdone unto thee according to thy cword, for thou shalt dnot ask that which is contrary to my will.
  59.   37 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made aclean. And because thou hast seen thy bweakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
  60.   5 And it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord that he would give unto the Gentiles grace, that they might have charity. And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been afaithful; wherefore thy garments shall be made bclean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father. And now I . . . bid farewell unto the Gentiles; yea, and also unto my brethren whom I love, until we shall meet before the cjudgment-seat of Christ, where all men shall know that my garments are not spotted with your blood. The dtestators are now dead, and their etestament is in force.
  61.   20 And I, the Lord God, said unto the serpent: Because thou hast done this thou shalt be acursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life;
          •  •  •
      23 And unto Adam, I, the Lord God, said: Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the fruit of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying—Thou shalt not eat of it, acursed shall be the ground for thy sake; in bsorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.
