Do work

  1.   10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy astranger that is within thy gates:
  2.   12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the aseventh day thou shalt brest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
  3.   14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is aholy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to bdeath: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
      15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of arest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth any bwork in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
  4.   2 aSix days shall bwork be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you an holy day, a csabbath of rest to the Lord: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to ddeath.

      35 Them hath he filled with awisdom of heart, to bwork all manner of work, of the engraver, and of the ccunning workman, and of the embroiderer, in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in fine linen, and of the weaver, even of them that do any work, and of those that devise cunning work.
  5.   29 ¶ And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall aafflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own bcountry, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
  6.   3 Six days shall work be done: but the aseventh day is the bsabbath of rest, an holy cconvocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the dsabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

      28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.

      30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
  7.   3 From athirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in bthe tabernacle of the congregation.

      23 From thirty years old and upward until fifty years old shalt thou number them; all that enter in to perform the service, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.

      30 From thirty years old and upward even unto fifty years old shalt thou number them, every one that entereth into the service, to do the work of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  8.   7 ¶ And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
  9.   14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
  10.   19 ¶ All the afirstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt bsanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy cbullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
  11.   8 Six days thou shalt eat aunleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a bsolemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
  12.   4 They did work awilily, and went and bmade as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
  13.   11 And they gave the money, being told, into the hands of them that did the work, that had the oversight of the house of the Lord: and they laid it out to the carpenters and builders, that wrought upon the house of the Lord,
  14.   9 And Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, Thy servants have gathered the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of them that do the work, that have the oversight of the house of the Lord.
  15.   24 ¶ These were the sons of aLevi after the house of their fathers; even the chief of the fathers, as they were counted by bnumber of names by their cpolls, that did the work for the service of the house of the Lord, from the age of twenty years and upward.
  16.   26 And over them that did the work of the field for tillage of the ground was Ezri the son of Chelub:
  17.   12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the Lord, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the Lord, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the Lord.
  18.   12 And the men did the work faithfully: and the overseers of them were Jahath and Obadiah, the Levites, of the sons of Merari; and Zechariah and Meshullam, of the sons of the Kohathites, to set it forward; and other of the Levites, all that could skill of instruments of musick.
  19.   16 And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work.
  20.   12 And their brethren that did the work of the house were eight hundred twenty and two: and Adaiah the son of Jeroham, the son of Pelaliah, the son of Amzi, the son of Zechariah, the son of Pashur, the son of Malchiah,
  21.   10 ¶ And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.
  22.   21 For the Lord shall rise up as in amount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of bGibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his cstrange act.
  23.   24 And it shall come to pass, if ye diligently hearken unto me, saith the Lord, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
  24.   10 aCursed be he that doeth the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keepeth back his sword from blood.
  25.   3 Shall wood be taken thereof to do any work? or will men take a pin of it to hang any vessel thereon?
  26.   14 And the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and did work in the house of the Lord of hosts, their God,
  27.   5 aFor when we were in the flesh, the bmotions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto cdeath.
  28.   5 But awatch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an bevangelist, cmake full proof of thy ministry.
  29.   28 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, beheld the pointers which were in the ball, that they did work according to the afaith and diligence and heed which we did give unto them.
  30.   1 And it came to pass that they did aworship the Lord, and did go forth with me; and we did work timbers of curious bworkmanship. And the Lord did show me from time to time after what manner I should work the timbers of the cship.
      2 Now I, Nephi, did not work the timbers after the manner which was learned by men, neither did I build the ship after the manner of men; but I did build it after the manner which the Lord had shown unto me; wherefore, it was not after the manner of men.

      21 And it came to pass after they had loosed me, behold, I took the compass, and it did work whither I desired it. And it came to pass that I aprayed unto the Lord; and after I had prayed the winds did cease, and the storm did cease, and there was a great calm.
  31.   7 Yea, Joseph truly said: Thus saith the Lord unto me: A choice aseer will I braise up out of the fruit of thy loins; and he shall be esteemed highly among the fruit of thy loins. And unto him will I give commandment that he shall do a work for the fruit of thy loins, his brethren, which shall be of great worth unto them, even to the bringing of them to the cknowledge of the covenants which I have made with thy fathers.
      8 And I will give unto him a commandment that he shall do anone other work, save the work which I shall command him. And I will make him great in mine eyes; for he shall do my work.
  32.   18 But the seventh day, the sabbath of the Lord thy God, thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
  33.   12 And now it came to pass that Alma took Helam, he being one of the first, and went and stood forth in the water, and cried, saying: O Lord, pour out thy Spirit upon thy servant, that he may do this work with holiness of heart.
  34.   40 And it did work for them according to their afaith in God; therefore, if they had faith to believe that God could cause that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold, it was done; therefore they had this miracle, and also many other miracles wrought by the power of God, day by day.
  35.   11 And behold, there was all manner of gold in both these lands, and of silver, and of precious ore of every kind; and there were also curious workmen, who did awork all kinds of ore and did refine it; and thus they did become rich.
  36.   5 And there were great and marvelous works wrought by the disciples of Jesus, insomuch that they did aheal the sick, and braise the dead, and cause the lame to walk, and the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear; and all manner of cmiracles did they work among the children of men; and in nothing did they work miracles save it were in the name of Jesus.
  37.   23 And they did awork in all manner of bore, and they did make gold, and silver, and ciron, and dbrass, and all manner of metals; and they did dig it out of the earth; wherefore, they did cast up mighty heaps of earth to get ore, of gold, and of silver, and of iron, and of copper. And they did ework all manner of fine work.
      24 And they did have asilks, and fine-twined blinen; and they did work all manner of ccloth, that they might clothe themselves from their nakedness.

      26 And they did make all manner of tools with which they did work their beasts.
      27 And they did make all manner of aweapons of war. And they did work all manner of work of exceedingly curious workmanship.
  38.   31 And the office of their ministry is to call men unto repentance, and to fulfil and to do the work of the covenants of the Father, which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the achosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of him.
  39.   9 Behold, thou art Joseph, and thou wast chosen to do the work of the Lord, but because of transgression, if thou art not aware thou wilt afall.
  40.   4 And again, you shall be ordained to assist my servant Oliver Cowdery to do the work of printing, and of selecting and writing abooks for bschools in this church, that little cchildren also may receive dinstruction before me as is pleasing unto me.
      5 And again, verily I say unto you, for this cause you shall take your journey with my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon, that you may be aplanted in the land of your inheritance to do this work.
  41.   15 That they may do the work which I have appointed unto them, to be a committee to build mine houses, according to the commandment, which I, the Lord God, have given unto you.
  42.   33 Break it off, O Lord; break it off from the necks of thy servants, by thy power, that we may rise up in the midst of this generation and do thy work.
  43.   49 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that when I give a commandment to any of the sons of men to do a work unto my name, and those sons of men go with all their might and with all they have to perform that work, and cease not their adiligence, and their enemies come upon them and bhinder them from performing that work, behold, it behooveth me to crequire that work no more at the hands of those sons of men, but to accept of their offerings.

      53 And this I make an aexample unto you, for your consolation concerning all those who have been commanded to do a work and have been hindered by the hands of their enemies, and by boppression, saith the Lord your God.
