And they begantoaccuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute toaCaesar, saying that he himself is Christ a bKing.

And when he was called forth, Tertullus begantoaccusehim, saying, Seeing that by thee we enjoy great quietness, and that very worthy deeds are done unto this nation by thy providence,

But the apriests lifted up their voices against him, and begantoaccuse him, saying: He has reviled the king. Therefore the king was stirred up in banger against him, and he delivered him up that he might be slain.
