"From among"

  1.   5 And the Egyptians shall aknow that bI am the cLord, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.
  2.   31 ¶ And he called for Moses and Aaron by night, and said, Rise up, and get you aforth from among my people, both ye and the children of Israel; and go, serve the Lord, as ye have said.
  3.   1 And take thou unto thee aAaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the bpriest’s coffice, even Aaron, dNadab and Abihu, Eleazar and eIthamar, Aaron’s fsons.
  4.   14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is aholy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to bdeath: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
  5.   5 Take ye from among you an offering unto the Lord: whosoever is of a awilling heart, let him bring it, an offering of the Lord; gold, and silver, and brass,
  6.   34 For the wave breast and the aheave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
  7.   4 And bringeth it not unto the door of the atabernacle of the congregation, to offer an offering unto the Lord before the tabernacle of the Lord; blood shall be imputed unto that man; he hath shed blood; and that man shall be cut off from among his people:

      9 And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, to offer it unto the Lord; even that man shall be cut off from among his people.
      10 ¶ And whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my aface against that soul that eateth bblood, and will cut him off from among his people.
  8.   29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be acut off from among their people.
  9.   8 Therefore every one that eateth it shall abear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the Lord: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
  10.   3 And I will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people; because he hath given of his seed unto Molech, to adefile my sanctuary, and to bprofane my holy name.

      5 Then I will set my aface against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go a whoring after him, to commit bwhoredom with Molech, from among their people.
      6 ¶ And the soul that turneth aafter such as have bfamiliar cspirits, and after dwizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will ecut him off from among his people.

      18 And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.
  11.   29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
      30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
  12.   12 And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the afirstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine;
  13.   2 Take the sum of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, after their families, by the house of their fathers,

      18 Cut ye not off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites:
  14.   6 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel, and acleanse them.

      14 Thus shalt thou aseparate the Levites from among the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be mine.
          •  •  •
      16 For they are wholly given unto me from among the children of Israel; instead of such as open every womb, even instead of the firstborn of all the children of Israel, have I taken them unto me.

      19 And I have given the Levites as a gift to aAaron and to his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the service of the children of Israel in the tabernacle of the congregation, and to make an atonement for the children of Israel: that there be no plague among the children of Israel, when the children of Israel come nigh unto the sanctuary.
  15.   13 But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
  16.   13 ¶ And Moses said unto the Lord, Then the aEgyptians shall hear it, (for thou broughtest up this people in thy might from among them;)
  17.   30 ¶ But the soul that doeth ought apresumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be bcut off from among his people.
  18.   21 aSeparate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

      33 They, and all that appertained to them, went down alive into the apit, and the earth closed upon them: and they perished from among the congregation.

      45 aGet you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.
  19.   6 And I, behold, I have taken your brethren the aLevites from among the children of Israel: to you they are given as a gift for the Lord, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  20.   20 But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation, because he hath defiled the sanctuary of the Lord: the water of separation hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.
  21.   7 And when aPhinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
  22.   4 Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father.
  23.   14 And the aspace in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the bmen of war cwere wasted out from among the host, as the Lord sware unto them.
      15 For indeed the hand of the Lord was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
      16 ¶ So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
  24.   3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did abecause of bBaal-peor: for all the men that followed Baal-peor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.
  25.   13 Certain men, the children of aBelial, are gone out from among you, and have bwithdrawn the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;
  26.   7 The hands of the witnesses shall be afirst upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.

      15 aThou shalt in any wise set him bking over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a cstranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
  27.   18 I will raise them up a aProphet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my bwords in his mouth; and he shall cspeak unto them all that I shall command him.
  28.   19 Then shall ye ado unto him, as he had thought to have done unto his brother: so shalt thou put the evil away from among you.
  29.   9 So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord.

      21 And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.
  30.   21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father’s house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she adie: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her father’s house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you.

      24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she acried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
  31.   7 ¶ If a man be found astealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh bmerchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
  32.   26 I said, I would ascatter them into corners, I would make the remembrance of them to cease from among men:
  33.   12 Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed from among you.
      13 Up, asanctify the people, and say, bSanctify yourselves against to morrow: for thus saith the Lord God of Israel, There is an accursed thing in the midst of thee, O Israel: thou canst not stand before thine enemies, until ye take away the accursed thing from among you.
  34.   4 Give out from among you three men for each tribe: and I will send them, and they shall rise, and go through the land, and describe it according to the inheritance of them; and they shall come again to me.
  35.   16 And they aput away the strange gods from among them, and served the Lord: and his soul was bgrieved for the misery of Israel.
  36.   10 Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the aname of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
  37.   3 ¶ And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do areturn unto the Lord with all your hearts, then bput away the strange cgods and dAshtaroth from among you, and prepare your ehearts unto the Lord, and fserve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
  38.   6 ¶ And Saul said unto the aKenites, Go, depart, get you down from among the Amalekites, lest I destroy you with them: for ye shewed kindness to all the children of Israel, when they came up out of Egypt. So the Kenites departed from among the Amalekites.
  39.   53 For thou didst aseparate them from among all the people of the earth, to be bthine inheritance, as thou spakest by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.
  40.   7 Go, tell aJeroboam, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Forasmuch as I exalted thee from among the people, and made thee prince over my people Israel,
  41.   2 And when thou comest thither, look out there Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brethren, and carry him to an inner chamber;
  42.   2 But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons which were slain; and they hid him, even him and his nurse, in the bedchamber from Athaliah, so that he was not slain.
  43.   11 But Jehoshabeath, the daughter of the king, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the king’s sons that were slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber. So Jehoshabeath, the daughter of king Jehoram, the wife of Jehoiada the priest, (for she was the sister of Ahaziah,) hid him from Athaliah, so that she slew him not.
  44.   23 ¶ And it came to pass at the end of the year, that the host of Syria came up against him: and they came to Judah and Jerusalem, and destroyed all the princes of the people from among the people, and sent all the spoil of them unto the king of Damascus.
  45.   17 Moreover there were at my table an hundred and fifty of the Jews and rulers, beside those that came unto us from among the heathen that are about us.
  46.   28 And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.
  47.   5 They were driven forth from among men, (they cried after them as after a thief;)
  48.   1 Help, Lord; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
  49.   10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their aseed from among the children of men.
  50.   47 Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise. 
    1.   11 And brought out aIsrael from among them: for his mercy endureth for ever:
    2.   14 There is a generation, whose ateeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.
    3.   14 ¶ Thus saith the Lord against all mine evil neighbours, that touch the inheritance which I have caused my people Israel to inherit; Behold, I will pluck them out of their land, and pluck out the house of Judah from among them.
    4.   38 And I will apurge out from among you the brebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not center into the dland of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
    5.   6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not awarned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I brequire at the watchman’s hand.
    6.   24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and agather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own bland.
    7.   21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the aheathen, whither they be gone, and will bgather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
    8.   49 So shall it be at the aend of the world: bthe angels shall come forth, and csever the wicked from among the djust,
    9.   39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
    10.   23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be adestroyed from among the people.
    11.   19 Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God:
    12.   33 So Paul departed from among them.
    13.   10 And when there arose a great dissension, the chief captain, fearing lest Paul should have been pulled in pieces of them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the castle.
    14.   2 And ye are apuffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.

        13 But them that are without God judgeth. Therefore put away from among yourselves that wicked person.
    15.   17 Wherefore acome out from among them, and be ye bseparate, saith the Lord, and touch not the cunclean thing; and I will receive you.
    16.   1 For every high priest taken from among men is aordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and bsacrifices for sins:
    17.   4 These are they which were not defiled with awomen; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were bredeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
    18.   28 And I beheld that he went forth ministering unto the people, in apower and great glory; and the multitudes were gathered together to hear him; and I beheld that they cast him out from among them.
    19.   20 And the Lord will surely aprepare a way for his people, unto the fulfilling of the words of Moses, which he spake, saying: A bprophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass that all those who will not hear that prophet shall be ccut off from among the people.
    20.   4 And the time speedily cometh, that except ye repent they shall possess the land of your inheritance, and the Lord God will alead away the righteous out from among you.
    21.   5 For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the aLord bOmnipotent who creigneth, who was, and is from all deternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a etabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty fmiracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the gblind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases.
    22.   3 But the king was more wroth, and caused that Alma should be cast out from among them, and sent his servants after him that they might slay him.
    23.   24 For the hearts of many were hardened, and their names were ablotted out, that they were remembered no more among the people of God. And also many bwithdrew themselves from among them.
    24.   23 But it is by the aprayers of the righteous that ye are spared; now therefore, if ye will bcast out the righteous from among you then will not the Lord stay his hand; but in his fierce anger he will come out against you; then ye shall be smitten by famine, and by pestilence, and by the sword; and the ctime is soon at hand except ye repent.
    25.   2 Now if a man owed another, and he would not apay that which he did owe, he was complained of to the judge; and the judge executed authority, and sent forth officers that the man should be brought before him; and he judged the man according to the law and the evidences which were brought against him, and thus the man was compelled to pay that which he owed, or be stripped, or be cast out from among the people as a thief and a robber.
    26.   7 And it came to pass that he began to cry unto the people, saying: Behold, I am aguilty, and these men are spotless before God. And he began to plead for them from that time forth; but they reviled him, saying: Art thou also possessed with the devil? And they spit upon him, and bcast him out from among them, and also all those who believed in the words which had been spoken by Alma and Amulek; and they cast them out, and sent men to cast stones at them.
    27.   2 My brethren, I think that it is impossible that ye should be ignorant of the things which have been spoken concerning the coming of Christ, who is taught by us to be the Son of God; yea, I know that athese things were taught unto you bountifully before your dissension from among us.
    28.   24 And it came to pass that after the Lamanites had fled, I immediately gave orders that my men who had been wounded should be taken from among the dead, and caused that their wounds should be dressed.
    29.   15 And they came down again that they might pitch battle against the Nephites. And they were led by a man whose name was aCoriantumr; and he was a descendant of Zarahemla; and he was a bdissenter from among the Nephites; and he was a large and a mighty man.
    30.   37 And it came to pass that the Lamanites did hunt the band of robbers of Gadianton; and they did preach the word of God among the more wicked part of them, insomuch that this band of robbers was utterly destroyed from among the Lamanites.
    31.   14 But behold, it is for the righteous’ sake that it is spared. But behold, the time cometh, saith the Lord, that when ye shall cast out the righteous from among you, then shall ye be aripe for destruction; yea, wo be unto this great city, because of the wickedness and abominations which are in her.
    32.   10 And now, because I am a Lamanite, and have spoken unto you the words which the Lord hath commanded me, and because it was hard against you, ye are angry with me and do seek to destroy me, and have acast me out from among you.
    33.   14 And it came to pass in the
    34.   1 aAnd it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words unto Nephi, and to those who had been called, (now the number of them who had been called, and received power and authority to bbaptize, was ctwelve) and behold, he stretched forth his hand unto the multitude, and cried unto them, saying: dBlessed are ye if ye shall give heed unto the words of these twelve whom I have echosen from among you to minister unto you, and to be your servants; and unto them I have given power that they may baptize you with water; and after that ye are baptized with water, behold, I will baptize you with fire and with the Holy Ghost; therefore blessed are ye if ye shall believe in me and be baptized, after that ye have seen me and know that I am.
    35.   19 But, verily, I say unto you that the Father hath commanded me, and I tell it unto you, that ye were aseparated from among them because of their iniquity; therefore it is because of their iniquity that they know not of you.
    36.   8 But wo, saith the Father, unto the aunbelieving of the Gentiles—for notwithstanding they have come forth upon the face of this land, and have bscattered my people who are of the house of Israel; and my people who are of the house of Israel have been ccast out from among them, and have been trodden under feet by them;
        9 And because of the mercies of the Father unto the Gentiles, and also the judgments of the Father upon my people who are of the house of Israel, verily, verily, I say unto you, that after all this, and I have caused my people who are of the house of Israel to be smitten, and to be afflicted, and to be aslain, and to be cast out from among them, and to become bhated by them, and to become a hiss and a byword among them—
        10 And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you: At that day when the Gentiles shall asin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be blifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and cmurders, and dpriestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall ereject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.
    37.   30 Nevertheless, ye shall not acast him out from among you, but ye shall bminister unto him and shall pray for him unto the Father, in my name; and if it so be that he repenteth and is baptized in my name, then shall ye receive him, and shall minister unto him of my flesh and blood.
    38.   23 Behold, I am he of whom Moses spake, saying: aA prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass that every soul who will not hear that prophet shall be cut off from among the people.
    39.   11 Therefore it shall come to pass that whosoever will not believe in my words, who am Jesus Christ, which the Father shall cause ahim to bring forth unto the bGentiles, and shall give unto him power that he shall bring them forth unto the Gentiles, (it shall be done even as Moses said) they shall be ccut off from among my people who are of the covenant.

        20 For it shall come to pass, saith the Father, that at that aday whosoever will not repent and come unto my Beloved Son, them will I bcut off from among my people, O house of Israel;
    40.   33 And they also cast them into adens of wild beasts, and they did play with the wild beasts even as a child with a lamb; and they did come forth from among them, receiving no harm.
    41.   24 But Jared said unto his brother: Suffer them that they may have a king. And therefore he said unto them: Choose ye out from among our sons a king, even whom ye will.
    42.   13 And it came to pass that the people hardened their hearts, and would not ahearken unto their words; and the prophets bmourned and withdrew from among the people.
    43.   15 And it came to pass that in that same year in which he was cast out from among the people there began to be a great war among the people, for there were many who rose up, who were mighty men, and sought to destroy Coriantumr by their secret plans of wickedness, of which hath been spoken.
    44.   6 And now, my son, I desire that ye should labor diligently, that this gross error should be removed from among you; for, for this intent I have written this epistle.
    45.   14 And the aarm of the Lord shall be revealed; and the bday cometh that they who will not chear the voice of the Lord, neither the voice of his dservants, neither give eheed to the words of the prophets and fapostles, shall be gcut off from among the people;
    46.   42 And go ye aout from among the bwicked. Save yourselves. Be ye cclean that bear the vessels of the Lord. Even so. Amen.
    47.   5 He that areceiveth my blaw and cdoeth it, the same is my disciple; and he that saith he receiveth it and ddoeth it not, the same is not my disciple, and shall be ecast out from among you;
    48.   74 Behold, verily I say unto you, that whatever persons among you, having put away their acompanions for the cause of bfornication, or in other words, if they shall testify before you in all lowliness of heart that this is the case, ye shall not cast them out from among you;
        75 But if ye shall find that any persons have left their companions for the sake of aadultery, and they themselves are the offenders, and their companions are living, they shall be bcast out from among you.
    49.   71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with asongs of everlasting bjoy.
    50.   25 And again, verily I say unto you, and I say it that you may know the atruth, that you may chase darkness from among you;
    1.   32 These things ought not to be, and must be done away from among them; wherefore, let my servant Oliver Cowdery acarry these sayings unto the land of Zion.
    2.   7 Therefore, let the wheat and the atares grow together until the harvest is fully ripe; then ye shall first gather out the wheat from among the tares, and after the gathering of the wheat, behold and lo, the tares are bound in bundles, and the field remaineth to be bburned.
    3.   21 Of necessity there are presidents, or presiding aofficers growing out of, or appointed of or from among those who are ordained to the several offices in these two priesthoods.
    4.   58 That from among all these, thy servants, the sons of Jacob, may gather out the righteous to build a holy acity to thy name, as thou hast commanded them.
    5.   7 Yea, verily I say unto you again, the time has come when the voice of the Lord is unto you: Go ye out of Babylon; agather ye out from among the nations, from the bfour winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

        14 Go ye aout from among the nations, even from bBabylon, from the midst of cwickedness, which is spiritual Babylon.

        63 And upon them that ahearken not to the voice of the Lord shall be fulfilled that which was written by the prophet Moses, that they should be bcut off from among the people.
    6.   30 But behold, from among the righteous, he aorganized his forces and appointed bmessengers, cclothed with power and authority, and dcommissioned them to go forth and carry the light of the gospel to them that were in edarkness, even to fall the spirits of men; and thus was the gospel preached to the dead.
    7.   55 And thus cometh the aend of the wicked, according to the prophecy of Moses, saying: They shall be cut off from among the people; but the end of the earth is not yet, but by and by.
    8.   40 In addition to these, he quoted the eleventh chapter of aIsaiah, saying that it was about to be fulfilled. He quoted also the third chapter of Acts, twenty-second and twenty-third verses, precisely as they stand in our New Testament. He said that that bprophet was Christ; but the day had not yet come when “they who would not hear his voice should be ccut off from among the people,” but soon would come.
