"Canst thou"

  1. 15 ¶ And she said unto him, How canst thou say, I love thee, when thine heart is not with me? thou hast amocked me these three times, and hast not told me wherein thy great strength lieth.
  2. 15 And David said to him, Canst thou bring me down to this company? And he said, Swear unto me by God, that thou wilt neither kill me, nor deliver me into the hands of my amaster, and I will bring thee down to this company.
  3. 7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
    8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
  4. 31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of aOrion?
    32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons?
    33 Knowest thou the aordinances of bheaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
    34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?
    35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we are?
  5. 1 Knowest thou the time when the wild agoats of the rock bring forth? or canst thou mark when the hinds do calve?
    2 Canst thou number the months that they fulfil? or knowest thou the time when they bring forth?

    10 Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee?

    20 Canst thou make him afraid as a grasshopper? the glory of his nostrils is terrible.
  6. 9 Hast thou an arm like God? or canst thou thunder with a voice like him?
  7. 1 Canst thou draw out leviathan with an hook? or his tongue with a cord which thou lettest down?
    2 Canst thou put an hook into his nose? or bore his jaw through with a thorn?

    7 Canst thou fill his skin with abarbed irons? or his head with fish spears?
  8. 23 How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;
  9. 5 ¶ If thou hast run with the footmen, and they have wearied thee, then how canst thou contend with horses? and if in the land of peace, wherein thou trustedst, they wearied thee, then how wilt thou do in the swelling of Jordan?
  10. 42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.
  11. 37 And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?
  12. 11 And again, they have brought swords, the hilts thereof have perished, and the blades thereof were cankered with rust; and there is no one in the land that is able to interpret the language or the engravings that are on the plates. Therefore I said unto thee: Canst thou translate?
  13. 37 Behold, we are surrounded by ademons, yea, we are encircled about by the angels of him who hath sought to destroy our souls. Behold, our iniquities are great. O Lord, canst thou not turn away thine anger from us? And this shall be your language in those days.
  14. 39 Behold, canst thou read this without arejoicing and lifting up thy heart for bgladness?
    40 Or canst thou run about longer as a ablind guide?
    41 Or canst thou be ahumble and meek, and conduct thyself wisely before me? Yea, bcome unto me thy Savior. Amen.
