"Almost as it were"

  1. 27 And behold, as they were crossing the river Sidon, the Lamanites and the Amlicites, being as anumerous almost, as it were, as the sands of the sea, came upon them to destroy them.
  2. 20 Oh, my soul, almost as it were, fleeth at the thought. Behold, he did not exercise his justice upon us, but in his great mercy hath brought us over that everlasting agulf of death and misery, even to the salvation of our souls.
  3. 7 The whole face of the land had become covered with buildings, and the people were as numerous almost, as it were the sand of the sea.
