Of glory

  1.   17 And the asight of the bglory of the Lord was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.
  2.   8 He araiseth up the bpoor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the cpillars of the earth are the Lord’s, and he hath set the world upon them.
  3.   5 And David said, Solomon my son is ayoung and tender, and the house that is to be builded for the Lord must be exceeding magnifical, of fame and of glory throughout all countries: I will therefore now make preparation for it. So David prepared abundantly before his death.
  4.   11 And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had apromoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king.
  5.   9 He hath stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.
  6.   7 aLift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall bcome in.
      8 Who is this aKing of bglory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
      9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
      10 Who is this aKing of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
  7.   3 The voice of the Lord is upon the awaters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
          •  •  •
      9 The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
  8.   11 They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;
  9.   9 She shall give to thine head an aornament of grace: a crown of bglory shall she deliver to thee.
  10.   31 aThe hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.
  11.   8 For aJerusalem is ruined, and Judah is bfallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
  12.   3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the aLord of hosts: the whole earth is full of his bglory.
  13.   18 He will surely violently turn and toss thee like a ball into a large acountry: there shalt thou die, and there the chariots of thy glory shall be the shame of thy lord’s house.
  14.   9 The Lord of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, and to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.
  15.   5 ¶ In athat day shall the Lord of hosts be for a crown of bglory, and for a diadem of beauty, unto the residue of his people,
  16.   7 All the flocks of aKedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with bacceptance on mine caltar, and I will glorify the house of my dglory.
  17.   3 Thou shalt also be a acrown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
  18.   15 ¶ aLook down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy bholiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy strength, cthe sounding of thy bowels and of thy mercies toward me? are they restrained?
  19.   11 That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.
  20.   18 Say unto the king and to the queen, Humble yourselves, sit down: for your principalities shall come down, even the crown of your glory.
  21.   21 Do not abhor us, for thy name’s sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy acovenant with us.
  22.   28 As the appearance of the abow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the bappearance of the likeness of the cglory of the dLord. And when I saw it, I efell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
  23.   25 Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,
  24.   14 For the aearth shall be filled with the bknowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
  25.   28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the aregeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, bjudging the twelve tribes of Israel.
  26.   31 ¶ When the aSon of man shall come in his bglory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
  27.   2 And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father aAbraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in bCharran,
  28.   23 For all have asinned, and come short of the glory of God;
  29.   2 By whom also we have access by afaith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
  30.   23 And that he might make known the ariches of his bglory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
  31.   8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have acrucified the Lord of glory.
  32.   10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
  33.   6 For God, who acommanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath bshined in our hearts, to give the clight of the knowledge of the dglory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
          •  •  •
      17 For our light aaffliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and beternal cweight of glory;
  34.   26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, aprovoking one another, envying one another.
  35.   6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
          •  •  •
      12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who afirst trusted in Christ.
          •  •  •
      14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
          •  •  •
      17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of awisdom and brevelation in the knowledge of him:
      18 The eyes of your aunderstanding being benlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the criches of the glory of his dinheritance in the saints,
  36.   16 That he would grant you, according to the ariches of his glory, to be bstrengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
  37.   27 To whom God would make aknown what is the briches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
  38.   14 Whereunto he called you by our agospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  39.   3 Who being the brightness of his aglory, and the express image of his bperson, and upholding all things by the word of his cpower, when he had by himself dpurged our sins, sat down on the eright hand of the fMajesty on high;
  40.   3 For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.
  41.   5 And over it the acherubims of glory shadowing the bmercyseat; of which we cannot now speak particularly.
  42.   1 My brethren, ahave not the faith of our bLord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory, with respect of persons.
  43.   8 Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet abelieving, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory:
  44.   14 If ye be areproached for the name of Christ, bhappy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
  45.   1 The aelders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a bpartaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
          •  •  •
      4 And when the chief aShepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a bcrown of cglory that fadeth not away.
  46.   24 Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you afaultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,
  47.   21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for the fear of the Lord shall come upon them and the majesty of his glory shall smite them, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
  48.   8 For Jerusalem is aruined, and Judah is bfallen, because their ctongues and their doings have been against the Lord, to dprovoke the eyes of his glory.
  49.   3 And one cried unto another, and said: Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of Hosts; the whole earth is full of his aglory.
  50.   16 And now, because of the glory of the world and to get again will they say this, and not for the glory of God.

  51.   4 For, for this intent have we written these things, that they may know that we aknew of Christ, and we had a hope of his bglory many hundred years before his coming; and not only we ourselves had a hope of his glory, but also all the holy cprophets which were before us.
          •  •  •
      11 Wherefore, beloved brethren, be areconciled unto him through the batonement of Christ, his cOnly Begotten Son, and ye may obtain a dresurrection, according to the epower of the resurrection which is in Christ, and be presented as the ffirst-fruits of Christ unto God, having faith, and obtained a good hope of glory in him before he manifesteth himself in the flesh.
  52.   11 And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have atasted of his love, and have received a bremission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own cnothingness, and his dgoodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of ehumility, fcalling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing gsteadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.
      12 And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the alove of God, and always bretain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the cknowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
  53.   29 Therefore he sent aangels to converse with them, who caused men to behold of his glory.
  54.   6 Now, this was what Ammon desired, for he knew that king Lamoni was under the power of God; he knew that the dark aveil of bunbelief was being cast away from his mind, and the clight which did light up his mind, which was the light of the glory of God, which was a marvelous light of his goodness—yea, this light had infused such joy into his soul, the cloud of darkness having been dispelled, and that the light of everlasting life was lit up in his soul, yea, he knew that this had dovercome his natural frame, and he was carried away in God—
  55.   14 And since man had afallen he could not bmerit anything of himself; but the sufferings and cdeath of Christ datone for their sins, through faith and repentance, and so forth; and that he breaketh the bands of death, that the egrave shall have no victory, and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory; and Aaron did expound all these things unto the king.
  56.   32 Behold, can you suppose that the Lord will spare you and come out in judgment against the Lamanites, when it is the atradition of their fathers that has caused their hatred, yea, and it has been redoubled by those who have dissented from us, while your iniquity is for the cause of your love of glory and the vain things of the world?
  57.   44 And aNephi and bLehi were in the midst of them; yea, they were encircled about; yea, they were as if in the midst of a flaming fire, yet it did harm them not, neither did it take hold upon the walls of the prison; and they were filled with that cjoy which is unspeakable and full of glory.
  58.   25 My son, be faithful in Christ; and may not the things which I have written grieve thee, to weigh thee down unto adeath; but may Christ lift thee up, and may his sufferings and death, and the showing his body unto our fathers, and his mercy and blong-suffering, and the hope of his glory and of eternal life, rest in your cmind forever.
  59.   25 How oft have I acalled upon you by the mouth of my bservants, and by the cministering of angels, and by mine own voice, and by the voice of dthunderings, and by the voice of lightnings, and by the voice of tempests, and by the voice of earthquakes, and great hailstorms, and by the voice of efamines and pestilences of every kind, and by the great sound of a ftrump, and by the voice of judgment, and by the voice of gmercy all the day long, and by the voice of glory and honor and the hriches of eternal life, and would have saved you with an ieverlasting salvation, but ye would not!
  60.   6 And they have done unto the aSon of Man even as they listed; and he has taken his power on the bright hand of his cglory, and now reigneth in the heavens, and will reign till he descends on the earth to put all enemies dunder his feet, which time is nigh at hand—
  61.   66 These things remain to overcome through patience, that such may receive a more exceeding and eternal aweight of bglory, otherwise, a greater condemnation. Amen.
  62.   5 Call upon the Lord, that his kingdom may go forth upon the earth, that the inhabitants thereof may receive it, and be prepared for the days to come, in the which the Son of Man shall acome down in heaven, bclothed in the brightness of his cglory, to meet the dkingdom of God which is set up on the earth.
  63.   56 They are they who are apriests and bkings, who have received of his fulness, and of his glory;
          •  •  •
      76 These are they who receive of his glory, but not of his fulness.
          •  •  •
      81 And again, we asaw the glory of the btelestial, which glory is that of the lesser, even as the cglory of the stars differs from that of the glory of the moon in the firmament.
          •  •  •
      108 Then shall he be acrowned with the crown of his glory, to sit on the bthrone of his power to reign forever and ever.
          •  •  •
      118 That through the power and manifestation of the Spirit, while in the flesh, they may be able to abear his bpresence in the world of glory.
  64.   24 But they ahardened their hearts and could not endure his bpresence; therefore, the Lord in his cwrath, for his danger was kindled against them, swore that they should not eenter into his rest while in the wilderness, which rest is the fulness of his glory.
  65.   24 And he who cannot abide the law of a atelestial bkingdom cannot abide a telestial cglory; therefore he is not meet for a kingdom of glory. Therefore he must abide a kingdom which is not a kingdom of glory.
          •  •  •
      119 aOrganize yourselves; prepare every needful thing; and establish a bhouse, even a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of order, a house of God;
  66.   6 And aJohn saw and bore record of the fulness of my bglory, and the fulness of cJohn’s record is hereafter to be revealed.
          •  •  •
      16 And I, John, bear record that he received a fulness of the glory of the Father;
          •  •  •
      22 And all those who are begotten through me are apartakers of the bglory of the same, and are the cchurch of the Firstborn.
  67.   7 And all this that the innocent among you may not be condemned with the aunjust; and that the guilty among you may not escape; because I, the Lord, have promised unto you a bcrown of glory at my cright hand.
  68.   8 Organize yourselves; aprepare every needful thing, and establish a house, even a bhouse of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of learning, a house of glory, a house of corder, a dhouse of God;
          •  •  •
      16 And that this house may be a house of prayer, a house of fasting, a house of faith, a house of glory and of God, even thy house;
          •  •  •
      76 That our garments may be pure, that we may be clothed upon with arobes of brighteousness, with palms in our hands, and ccrowns of glory upon our heads, and reap eternal djoy for all our esufferings.
  69.   27 Which our forefathers have awaited with aanxious expectation to be revealed in the last times, which their minds were pointed to by the angels, as held in reserve for the fulness of their glory;
  70.   6 And as pertaining to the new and aeverlasting covenant, it was instituted for the fulness of my bglory; and he that receiveth a fulness thereof must and shall abide the law, or he shall be damned, saith the Lord God.
          •  •  •
      16 Therefore, when they are out of the world they neither marry nor are given in amarriage; but are appointed angels in bheaven, which angels are ministering cservants, to minister for those who are worthy of a far more, and an exceeding, and an eternal weight of glory.
  71.   20 And it came to pass that Moses began to afear exceedingly; and as he began to fear, he saw the bitterness of bhell. Nevertheless, ccalling upon God, he received dstrength, and he commanded, saying: Depart from me, Satan, for this one God only will I worship, which is the God of eglory.
  72.   61 Therefore it is given to abide in you; the arecord of heaven; the bComforter; the cpeaceable things of immortal glory; the truth of all things; that which quickeneth all things, which maketh alive all things; that which knoweth all things, and hath all dpower according to wisdom, mercy, truth, justice, and judgment.
  73.   56 And he heard a loud voice; and the heavens were aveiled; and all the creations of God mourned; and the earth bgroaned; and the rocks were rent; and the csaints arose, and were dcrowned at the eright hand of the Son of Man, with crowns of glory;
  74.
