Have no

  1.   4 They said moreover unto Pharaoh, For to asojourn in the land are we come; for thy servants have no pasture for their flocks; for the famine is sore in the land of Canaan: now therefore, we pray thee, let thy servants dwell in the land of Goshen.
  2.   3 Thou shalt have ano other bgods before me.
  3.   8 If she please not her master, who hath betrothed her to himself, then shall he let her be redeemed: to sell her unto a strange nation he shall have no power, seeing he hath dealt deceitfully with her.
  4.   13 But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof.
  5.   31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
  6.   37 And they shall fall one upon another, as it were before a sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
  7.   8 But if the man have no akinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto the Lord, even to the priest; beside the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
  8.   20 ¶ And the Lord spake unto Aaron, Thou shalt have no ainheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any bpart among them: I am thy part and thine cinheritance among the children of Israel.
          •  •  •
23 But the aLevites shall do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations, that among the children of Israel they have no inheritance.
24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the Lord, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no ainheritance.
  9.   8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
9 And if he have no daughter, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his brethren.
10 And if he have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his father’s brethren.
11 And if his father have no brethren, then ye shall give his inheritance unto his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it: and it shall be unto the children of Israel a astatute of judgment, as the Lord commanded Moses.
          •  •  •
17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the acongregation of the Lord be not as bsheep which have no cshepherd.
  10.   16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their agods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
  11.   1 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no apart nor binheritance with Israel: they shall ceat the offerings of the Lord made by fire, and his inheritance.
2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their ainheritance, as he hath said unto them.
  12.   14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not asell her at all for money, thou shalt not bmake merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
  13.   5 ¶ If brethren dwell together, and one of them die, and have no child, the awife of the dead shall not marry bwithout unto a stranger: her chusband’s dbrother shall go in unto her, and take her to him to wife, and perform the duty of an ehusband’s brother unto her.
  14.   20 For it was of the aLord to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, and that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the Lord commanded Moses.
  15.   7 But the aLevites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord is their binheritance: and Gad, and cReuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave them.
  16.   25 For the Lord hath made Jordan a border between us and you, ye children of Reuben and children of Gad; ye have no part in the Lord: so shall your children make our children cease from fearing the Lord.
          •  •  •
27 But that it may be a witness between us, and you, and our generations after us, that we might do the service of the Lord before him with our burnt offerings, and with our sacrifices, and with our peace offerings; that your children may not say to our children in time to come, Ye have no part in the Lord.
  17.   3 Then said the princes of the Philistines, What do these Hebrews here? And Achish said unto the princes of the Philistines, Is not this David, the servant of Saul the king of Israel, which hath been with me these days, or these years, and I have found no fault in him since he fell unto me unto this day?
  18.   26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here am I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him.
  19.   18 ¶ Now Absalom in his lifetime had taken and reared up for himself a pillar, which is in the aking’s dale: for he said, I have no bson to keep my name in remembrance: and he called the pillar after his own name: and it is called unto this day, Absalom’s cplace.
  20.   1 And there happened to be there a man of aBelial, whose name was Sheba, the son of Bichri, a Benjamite: and he blew a trumpet, and said, We have no part in David, neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to his tents, O Israel.
  21.   4 And the Gibeonites said unto him, We will have no silver nor gold of Saul, nor of his house; neither for us shalt thou kill any man in Israel. And he said, What ye shall say, that will I do for you.
  22.   17 And he said, I saw all Israel ascattered upon the hills, as bsheep that have not a shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master: let them return every man to his house in peace.
  23.   11 And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
  24.   16 Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no master; let them return therefore every man to his house in peace.
  25.   12 O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither aknow we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee.
  26.   16 We certify the king that, if this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river.
  27.   20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
  28.   18 O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place.
  29.   17 His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street.
  30.   7 They cause the naked to lodge without clothing, that they have no covering in the cold.
  31.   13 They mar my path, they set forward my calamity, they have no helper.
  32.   9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
  33.   19 God shall hear, and aafflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no bchanges, therefore they fear not God.
  34.   27 But thou art the asame, and thy years shall have no bend.
  35.   7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,
  36.   20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her amouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness.
          •  •  •
      27 The locusts have no king, yet go they forth all of them by bands;
  37.   11 The heart of her husband doth safely atrust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
  38.   3 ¶ If a man beget an hundred children, and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no aburial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
  39.   1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy ayouth, while the bevil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;
  40.   13 ¶ Therefore my people are gone into acaptivity, because they have no bknowledge: and their honourable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
  41.   17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an ahypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth bspeaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.
  42.   18 Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.
  43.   12 And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
  44.   29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
  45.   20 ¶ Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are aescaped of the bnations: they have no cknowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and dpray unto a god that cannot save.
  46.   2 Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? when I called, was there none to answer? Is my ahand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no bpower to deliver? behold, at my rebuke I cdry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because there is no water, and dieth for thirst.
  47.   22 For my people is afoolish, they have not bknown me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do cevil, but to do good they have no knowledge.
  48.   10 To whom shall I speak, and give awarning, that they may hear? behold, their ear is buncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.
          •  •  •
23 They shall lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roareth like the sea; and they ride upon horses, set in array as men for war against thee, O daughter of Zion.
  49.   35 And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
  50.   5 Our necks are under apersecution: we labour, and have no rest.

  51.   32 For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
  52.   26 Her apriests have bviolated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no cdifference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my dsabbaths, and I am eprofaned among them.
  53.   11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no apleasure in the bdeath of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye cdie, O house of Israel?
  54.   25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no ahurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
  55.   2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was afirst: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
  56.   16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned upon me, and I have retained no strength.
  57.   3 For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the Lord; what then should a king do to us?
  58.   18 How do the beasts groan! the herds of cattle are perplexed, because they have no pasture; yea, the flocks of sheep are made desolate.
  59.   12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more asoothsayers:
  60.   14 And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?
  61.   18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the Lord will smite the aheathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
  62.   10 Who is there even among you that would shut the doors for nought? neither do ye kindle fire on mine altar for nought. I have no pleasure in you, saith the Lord of hosts, neither will I aaccept an offering at your hand.
  63.   1 aTake heed that ye do not your balms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
  64.   36 ¶ But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with acompassion on them, because bthey fainted, and were scattered abroad, as csheep having no dshepherd.
  65.   7 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have taken no bread.
8 aWhich when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
  66.   24 Saying, Master, Moses said, If a man die, having no children, his abrother shall bmarry his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother.
25 Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first, when he had married a wife, deceased, and, having no issue, left his wife unto his brother:
  67.   17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are awhole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
  68.   17 And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when aaffliction or bpersecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.
          •  •  •
40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so afearful? how is it that ye have no bfaith?
  69.   24 ¶ And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, aand would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
  70.   16 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, It is because we have no bread.
17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? ahave ye your heart yet bhardened?
  71.   13 They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of atemptation fall away.
  72.   13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.
  73.   36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
  74.   4 And I say unto you my afriends, Be not bafraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
          •  •  •
17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to abestow my fruits?
  75.   14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:
          •  •  •
22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found ano cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.
  76.   3 And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, They have no wine.
  77.   9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the aSamaritans.
          •  •  •
17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband:
  78.   7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
  79.   53 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye aeat the flesh of the bSon of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
  80.   41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were ablind, ye should have no bsin: but now ye say, We csee; therefore your dsin remaineth.
  81.   22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had asin: but now they have no bcloke for their sin.
  82.   11 Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no apower at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater bsin.
          •  •  •
15 But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, acrucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, We have no bking but Caesar.
  83.   33 I have acoveted no man’s silver, or bgold, or apparel.
  84.   26 Of whom I have no certain thing to write unto my lord. Wherefore I have brought him forth before you, and specially before thee, O king Agrippa, that, after examination had, I might have somewhat to write.
  85.   23 But now having no more aplace in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
  86.   11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are abuffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;
  87.   25 Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained amercy of the Lord to be faithful.
          •  •  •
37 Nevertheless, he that standeth stedfast in his heart, having no necessity, but hath power over his own will, and hath so decreed in his heart that he will keep his virgin, doeth well.
  88.   16 But if any man seem to be acontentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
  89.   21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the ahead to the feet, I have no need of you.
          •  •  •
24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:
  90.   2 Receive us; we have awronged no man, we have corrupted no man, we have bdefrauded no man.
  91.   12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and astrangers from the bcovenants of promise, having no chope, and dwithout God in the world:
  92.   11 And have no afellowship with the unfruitful works of bdarkness, but rather creprove them.
  93.   20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state.
  94.   3 For we are the acircumcision, which bworship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the cflesh.
  95.   13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye asorrow not, even as others which have no bhope.
  96.   1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
  97.   14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
  98.   8 aSound speech, that cannot be bcondemned; that he that is cof the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you.
  99.   2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once apurged should have had no more bconscience of sins.
          •  •  •
38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man adraw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
  100.   10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
          •  •  •
14 For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

  101.   8 If we say that we have ano bsin, we cdeceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
  102.   4 I have no greater ajoy than to hear that my bchildren cwalk in truth.
  103.   11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
  104.   12 And the ten ahorns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
  105.   23 For behold, in that day that they shall arebel against me, I will bcurse them even with a sore curse, and they shall have no power over thy seed except they shall crebel against me also.
  106.   15 For behold, saith the prophet, the time cometh speedily that Satan shall have no more power over the hearts of the children of men; for the day soon cometh that all the proud and they who do wickedly shall be as astubble; and the day cometh that they must be bburned.
  107.   11 For it must needs be, that there is an aopposition in all things. If not so, my first-born in the wilderness, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither wickedness, neither holiness nor misery, neither good nor bad. Wherefore, all things must needs be a compound in one; wherefore, if it should be one body it must needs remain as dead, having no life neither death, nor corruption nor incorruption, happiness nor misery, neither sense nor insensibility.
12 Wherefore, it must needs have been created for a thing of naught; wherefore there would have been no apurpose in the end of its creation. Wherefore, this thing must needs destroy the wisdom of God and his eternal purposes, and also the power, and the mercy, and the bjustice of God.
13 And if ye shall say there is ano law, ye shall also say there is no sin. If ye shall say there is no sin, ye shall also say there is no righteousness. And if there be no righteousness there be no happiness. And if there be no righteousness nor happiness there be no punishment nor misery. And if these things are not bthere is no God. And if there is no God we are not, neither the earth; for there could have been no creation of things, neither to act nor to be acted upon; wherefore, all things must have vanished away.
          •  •  •
23 And they would have had no achildren; wherefore they would have remained in a state of innocence, having no bjoy, for they knew no misery; doing no good, for they knew no csin.
  108.   18 And it came to pass that they would that I should be their aking. But I, Nephi, was desirous that they should have no king; nevertheless, I did for them according to that which was in my power.
  109.   2 Wherefore, when I came, there was no man; when I acalled, yea, there was none to answer. O house of Israel, is my hand shortened at all that it cannot redeem, or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I bdry up the csea, I make their drivers a wilderness and their efish to stink because the waters are dried up, and they die because of thirst.
  110.   7 For if there be ano Christ there be no God; and if there be no God we are not, for there could have been no bcreation. But there is a God, and che is Christ, and he cometh in the fulness of his own time.
  111.   13 Therefore, my people are gone into acaptivity, because they have no bknowledge; and their honorable men are famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst.
  112.   17 Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have amercy on their fatherless and bwidows; for cevery one of them is a hypocrite and an devildoer, and every mouth speaketh efolly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his fhand is stretched out still.
  113.   18 Their bows shall also dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no apity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
  114.   25 And it came to pass that I began to be old; and, having no seed, and knowing king aBenjamin to be a just man before the Lord, wherefore, I shall bdeliver up cthese plates unto him, exhorting all men to come unto God, the Holy One of Israel, and believe in prophesying, and in revelations, and in the ministering of angels, and in the gift of speaking with tongues, and in the gift of interpreting languages, and in all things which are dgood; for there is nothing which is good save it comes from the Lord; and that which is evil cometh from the devil.
  115.   31 And now, my brethren, I would that ye should do as ye have hitherto done. As ye have kept my commandments, and also the commandments of my father, and have prospered, and have been kept from falling into the hands of your enemies, even so if ye shall keep the commandments of my son, or the commandments of God which shall be delivered unto you by him, ye shall prosper in the land, and your enemies shall have no power over you.
          •  •  •
36 And now, I say unto you, my brethren, that after ye have known and have been taught all these things, if ye should transgress and go acontrary to that which has been spoken, that ye do bwithdraw yourselves from the Spirit of the Lord, that it may have no place in you to guide you in wisdom’s paths that ye may be blessed, prospered, and preserved—
  116.   2 And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty achange in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do bevil, but to do good continually.
  117.   35 Thou shalt have no aother God before me.
  118.   26 But behold, and afear, and tremble before God, for ye ought to tremble; for the Lord redeemeth none such that brebel against him and cdie in their sins; yea, even all those that have perished in their sins ever since the world began, that have wilfully rebelled against God, that have known the commandments of God, and would not keep them; dthese are they that have eno part in the first fresurrection.
  119.   6 And now if Christ had not come into the world, speaking of things to come aas though they had already come, there could have been no redemption.
7 And if Christ had not risen from the dead, or have broken the bands of death that the grave should have no victory, and that death should have no asting, there could have been no resurrection.
  120.   39 And the king of the Lamanites had granted unto Amulon that he should be a king and a ruler over his people, who were in the land of Helam; nevertheless he should have no power to do anything contrary to the will of the king of the Lamanites.
  121.   8 Now I say unto you let us be wise and consider these things, for we have no right to destroy my son, neither should we have any right to destroy another if he should be appointed in his stead.
          •  •  •
30 And I command you to do these things in the fear of the Lord; and I command you to do these things, and that ye have no king; that if these people commit sins and iniquities they shall be answered upon their own heads.
  122.   17 Nevertheless, they durst not alie, if it were known, for fear of the law, for liars were punished; therefore they pretended to preach according to their belief; and now the law could have no power on any man for bhis belief.
          •  •  •
30 And thus, in their aprosperous circumstances, they did not send away any who were bnaked, or that were hungry, or that were athirst, or that were sick, or that had not been nourished; and they did not set their hearts upon criches; therefore they were dliberal to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, whether out of the church or in the church, having no erespect to persons as to those who stood in need.
  123.   37 O ye workers of iniquity; ye that are apuffed up in the vain things of the world, ye that have professed to have known the ways of righteousness nevertheless have gone bastray, as csheep having no dshepherd, notwithstanding a shepherd hath ecalled after you and is still calling after you, but ye will not fhearken unto his voice!
  124.   19 Yea, well did Mosiah say, who was our last king, when he was about to deliver up the kingdom, having no one to confer it upon, causing that this people should be governed by their own voices—yea, well did he say that if the time should come that the voice of this people should achoose iniquity, that is, if the time should come that this people should fall into transgression, they would be ripe for destruction.
  125.   23 And now behold, I say unto you that if it had been possible for Adam to have apartaken of the fruit of the tree of life at that time, there would have been no death, and the word would have been void, making God a liar, for he said: bIf thou eat thou shalt surely die.
          •  •  •
25 Now, if it had not been for the plan of redemption, which was laid from the foundation of the world, there could have been no aresurrection of the dead; but there was a plan of bredemption laid, which shall bring to pass the resurrection of the dead, of which has been spoken.
26 And now behold, if it were possible that our first parents could have gone forth and partaken of the atree of life they would have been forever miserable, having no preparatory state; and thus the bplan of redemption would have been frustrated, and the word of God would have been void, taking none effect.
          •  •  •
32 Therefore God gave unto them commandments, after having made aknown unto them the plan of redemption, that they should not do evil, the penalty thereof being a second bdeath, which was an everlasting cdeath as to things pertaining unto righteousness; for on such the plan of redemption could have no power, for the works of djustice could not be destroyed, according to the supreme egoodness of God.
  126.   3 And also Zeezrom lay sick at Sidom, with a burning fever, which was caused by the great tribulations of his mind on account of his awickedness, for he supposed that Alma and Amulek were no more; and he supposed that they had been slain because of his iniquity. And this great sin, and his many other sins, did harrow up his mind until it did become exceedingly sore, having no deliverance; therefore he began to be scorched with a burning heat.
  127.   1 And it came to pass in the eleventh year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, on the fifth day of the second month, there having been much peace in the land of Zarahemla, there having been no wars nor contentions for a certain number of years, even until the fifth day of the second month in the eleventh year, there was a cry of war heard throughout the land.
  128.   9 And Ammon said unto her: aBelievest thou this? And she said unto him: I have had no witness save thy word, and the word of our servants; nevertheless I bbelieve that it shall be according as thou hast said.
  129.   14 And since man had afallen he could not bmerit anything of himself; but the sufferings and cdeath of Christ datone for their sins, through faith and repentance, and so forth; and that he breaketh the bands of death, that the egrave shall have no victory, and that the sting of death should be swallowed up in the hopes of glory; and Aaron did expound all these things unto the king.
          •  •  •
33 And it came to pass that the Nephites had inhabited the land Bountiful, even from the east unto the west sea, and thus the Nephites in their wisdom, with their guards and their armies, had hemmed in the Lamanites on the south, that thereby they should have no more possession on the north, that they might not overrun the land northward.
34 Therefore the Lamanites could have no more possessions only in the land of Nephi, and the wilderness round about. Now this was wisdom in the Nephites—as the Lamanites were an enemy to them, they would not suffer their afflictions on every hand, and also that they might have a country whither they might flee, according to their desires.
  130.   3 And thus they might go forth and preach the word according to their desires, for the king had been converted unto the Lord, and aall his bhousehold; therefore he sent his proclamation throughout the land unto his people, that the word of God might have no obstruction, but that it might go forth throughout all the land, that his people might be convinced concerning the wicked ctraditions of their fathers, and that they might be convinced that they were all brethren, and that they ought not to murder, nor to plunder, nor to steal, nor to commit adultery, nor to commit any manner of wickedness.
  131.   26 And it came to pass that the people of God were joined that day by more than the number who had been slain; and those who had been slain were righteous people, therefore we have no reason to doubt but what they were asaved.
  132.   12 And he said unto the priests of Noah that their seed should cause many to be put to death, in the like manner as he was, and that they should be scattered abroad and slain, even as a sheep having no shepherd is driven and slain by wild beasts; and now behold, these words were verified, for they were driven by the Lamanites, and they were hunted, and they were smitten.
  133.   4 And thus the people did have no disturbance in all the sixteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi.
          •  •  •
12 And this aAnti-Christ, whose name was Korihor, (and the law could have no hold upon him) began to preach unto the people that there should be bno Christ. And after this manner did he preach, saying:
          •  •  •
42 Behold, I know that thou abelievest, but thou art possessed with a blying spirit, and ye have put coff the Spirit of God that it may have no place in you; but the devil has power over you, and he doth carry you about, working devices that he may destroy the children of God.
  134.   5 And they came unto Alma; and the one who was the foremost among them said unto him: Behold, awhat shall these my brethren do, for they are bdespised of all men because of their poverty, yea, and more especially by our priests; for they have ccast us out of our synagogues which we have labored abundantly to build with our own hands; and they have cast us out because of our exceeding poverty; and we have dno place to worship our God; and behold, ewhat shall we do?
  135.   13 And then shall it come to pass, that the aspirits of the wicked, yea, who are evil—for behold, they have no part nor portion of the Spirit of the Lord; for behold, they chose evil works rather than good; therefore the spirit of the bdevil did enter into them, and take possession of their house—and these shall be cast out into outer cdarkness; there shall be dweeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth, and this because of their own iniquity, being led captive by the will of the devil.
  136.   5 For behold, if Adam had put forth his hand immediately, and apartaken of the btree of life, he would have lived forever, according to the word of God, having no space for repentance; yea, and also the word of God would have been void, and the great plan of salvation would have been frustrated.
          •  •  •
21 And if there was ano law given, if men sinned what could justice do, or mercy either, for they would have no claim upon the creature?
  137.   12 Thus Moroni, with his armies, which did increase daily because of the assurance of protection which his works did bring forth unto them, did seek to cut off the strength and the power of the Lamanites from off the lands of their possessions, that they should have no power upon the lands of their possession.
  138.   21 And it came to pass that Moroni, having no hopes of meeting them upon fair grounds, therefore, he resolved upon a plan that he might adecoy the Lamanites out of their strongholds.
  139.   15 For were it not for the wickedness which first commenced at our head, we acould have withstood our enemies that they could have gained no power over us.
          •  •  •
30 Behold, I wait for assistance from you; and, except ye do administer unto our relief, behold, I come unto you, even in the land of Zarahemla, and smite you with the sword, insomuch that ye can have no more power to impede the progress of this people in the cause of our freedom.
  140.   12 And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the arock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your bfoundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty cstorm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.
  141.   22 And for this cause awo shall come unto you except ye shall repent. For if ye will not repent, behold, this bgreat city, and also all those great cities which are round about, which are in the land of our possession, shall be taken away that ye shall have no place in them; for behold, the Lord will not grant unto you cstrength, as he has hitherto done, to withstand against your enemies.
  142.   5 Therefore they did cry unto the people, saying: Why do you suffer this man to revile against us? For behold he doth condemn all this people, even unto destruction; yea, and also that these our agreat cities shall be taken from us, that we shall have no place in them.
6 And now we know that this is impossible, for behold, we are apowerful, and our cities great, therefore our enemies can have no power over us.
  143.   12 Yea, I say unto you, that in the latter times the apromises of the Lord have been extended to our brethren, the Lamanites; and notwithstanding the many afflictions which they shall have, and notwithstanding they shall be bdriven to and fro upon the face of the earth, and be hunted, and shall be smitten and scattered abroad, having no place for crefuge, the Lord shall be dmerciful unto them.
  144.   1 aVerily, verily, I say that I would that ye should do alms unto the poor; but take heed that ye do not your alms before men to be seen of them; otherwise ye have no reward of your Father who is in heaven.
  145.   34 And I give you these commandments because of the disputations which have been among you. And blessed are ye if ye have ano disputations among you.
  146.   16 And I will cut off awitchcrafts out of thy land, and thou shalt have no more soothsayers;
  147.   39 Now this change was not equal to that which shall take place at the last day; but there was a change wrought upon them, insomuch that Satan could have no power over them, that he could not atempt them; and they were bsanctified in the flesh, that they were choly, and that the powers of the earth could not hold them.
  148.   4 And it was abecause the armies of the Nephites went up unto the Lamanites that they began to be smitten; for were it not for that, the Lamanites could have had no power over them.
  149.   33 And if our plates had been asufficiently large we should have written in Hebrew; but the Hebrew hath been altered by us also; and if we could have written in Hebrew, behold, ye would have had no bimperfection in our record.
  150.   6 And now, if I have no authority for these things, judge ye; for ye shall know that I have authority when ye shall see me, and we shall stand before God at the last day. Amen.

  151.   26 Wherefore, I, Moroni, am commanded to write these things that evil may be done away, and that the time may come that Satan may have ano power upon the hearts of the children of men, but that they may be bpersuaded to do good continually, that they may come unto the fountain of all crighteousness and be saved.
  152.   22 For behold that all little children are aalive in Christ, and also all they that are without the blaw. For the power of credemption cometh on all them that have dno law; wherefore, he that is not condemned, or he that is under no condemnation, cannot repent; and unto such baptism availeth nothing—
  153.   5 For so exceedingly do they anger that it seemeth me that they have no fear of death; and they have lost their love, one towards another; and they athirst after blood and revenge continually.
  154.   21 And except ye have acharity ye can in nowise be saved in the kingdom of God; neither can ye be saved in the kingdom of God if ye have not faith; neither can ye if ye have no hope.
22 And if ye have no hope ye must needs be in adespair; and despair cometh because of iniquity.
  155.   11 Except thou ado this, thou shalt be delivered up and become as other men, and have no more gift.
  156.   3 And I have caused you that you should enter into a acovenant with me, that you should not bshow them except to those cpersons to whom I commanded you; and you have no dpower over them except I grant it unto you.
          •  •  •
28 And now, except he humble himself and acknowledge unto me the things that he has done which are wrong, and covenant with me that he will keep my commandments, and exercise afaith in me, behold, I say unto him, he shall have no such views, for I will grant unto him no views of the things of which I have spoken.
          •  •  •
31 And except thou do this, behold, thou shalt have no more gift, and I will take away the things which I have entrusted with thee.
  157.   9 But if it be not right you shall have no such feelings, but you shall have a astupor of thought that shall cause you to forget the thing which is wrong; therefore, you cannot write that which is bsacred save it be given you from me.
  158.   29 And now, behold, I say unto you, never at any time have I declared from mine own mouth that they should return, for awhere I am they cannot come, for they have no power.
          •  •  •
33 aSpeaking unto you that you may naturally understand; but unto myself my works have no bend, neither beginning; but it is given unto you that ye may understand, because ye have asked it of me and are agreed.
  159.   21 But, verily I say unto you that in time ye shall have no aking nor ruler, for I will be your king and watch over you.
22 Wherefore, hear my voice and afollow me, and you shall be a bfree people, and ye shall have no laws but my laws when I come, for I am your clawgiver, and what can stay my hand?
  160.   55 And aSatan shall be bbound, that he shall have no place in the hearts of the children of men.
  161.   10 I, the Lord, am abound when ye do what I say; but when ye do not what I say, ye have no bpromise.
  162.   20 Then shall they be gods, because they have no end; therefore shall they be from aeverlasting to everlasting, because they continue; then shall they be above all, because all things are subject unto them. Then shall they be bgods, because they have call power, and the angels are subject unto them.
  163.   19 And if any man shall seek to build up himself, and seeketh not my acounsel, he shall have no power, and his bfolly shall be made manifest.
  164.   31 And thou hast taken aZion to thine own bosom, from all thy creations, from all eternity to all eternity; and naught but peace, bjustice, and truth is the habitation of thy throne; and mercy shall go before thy face and have no end; how is it thou canst cweep?
  165.   18 Howbeit that he made the greater star; as, also, if there be two aspirits, and one shall be more intelligent than the other, yet these two spirits, notwithstanding one is more intelligent than the other, have no beginning; they existed before, they shall have no end, they shall exist after, for they are bgnolaum, or eternal.
  166.   46 By this time, so deep were the impressions made on my mind, that sleep had fled from my eyes, and I lay overwhelmed in aastonishment at what I had both seen and heard. But what was my surprise when again I beheld the same messenger at my bedside, and heard him rehearse or repeat over again to me the same things as before; and added a caution to me, telling me that Satan would try to btempt me (in consequence of the indigent circumstances of my father’s family), to get the plates for the purpose of getting crich. This he forbade me, saying that I must have no other object in view in getting the plates but to glorify God, and must not be influenced by any other dmotive than that of building his kingdom; otherwise I could not get them.
