First commandment

  1.   28 ¶ And one of the ascribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

      30 And thou shalt alove the Lord thy God with all thy bheart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy cstrength: this is the first commandment.
  2.   2 aHonour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
  3.   31 Wherefore, he gave acommandments unto men, they having first transgressed the bfirst commandments as to things which were temporal, and becoming as Gods, cknowing good from evil, placing themselves in a state to dact, or being placed in a state to act according to their wills and pleasures, whether to do evil or to do good—
  4.   4 Behold, verily I say unto you, I give unto you this first commandment, that ye shall ago forth in my name, every one of you, excepting my servants Joseph Smith, Jun., and Sidney Rigdon.
