"Waters of"

  1.   7 ¶ And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.
          •  •  •
      10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the aflood were upon the earth.
  2.   11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a aflood to bdestroy the cearth.
  3.   19 ¶ And the Lord spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become ablood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
  4.   6 And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the afrogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
  5.   19 For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the Lord brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea.
          •  •  •
      23 ¶ And when they came to aMarah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
  6.   10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you:
          •  •  •
      46 This is athe law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth:
  7.   22 Let me pass through thy land: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king’s high way, until we be past thy borders.
  8.   51 Because ye atrespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-bKadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye sanctified me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
  9.   8 ¶ And of aLevi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy bUrim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst cstrive at the waters of dMeribah;
  10.   13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the priests that bear the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an aheap.
  11.   7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the aark of the covenant of the Lord; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a bmemorial unto the children of Israel for ever.
          •  •  •
      18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the Lord were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests’ feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before.
          •  •  •
      23 For the Lord your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the Lord your God did to the Red sea, which he adried up from before us, until we were gone over:
  12.   1 And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, aheard that the Lord had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their bheart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.
  13.   5 And when all these kings were met together, they came and pitched together at the waters of Merom, to fight against Israel.
          •  •  •
      7 So Joshua came, and all the people of war with him, against them by the waters of Merom suddenly; and they fell upon them.
  14.   7 And the border went up toward Debir from the valley of Achor, and so northward, looking toward Gilgal, that is before the going up to Adummim, which is on the south side of the river: and the border passed toward the waters of En-shemesh, and the goings out thereof were at En-rogel:
  15.   15 And the south quarter was from the end of Kirjath-jearim, and the border went out on the west, and went out to the well of waters of Nephtoah:
  16.   19 The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money.
  17.   12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
  18.   31 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me, and then eat ye every man of his own vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his cistern:
  19.   3 He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the city: and they did help him.
  20.   4 The flood breaketh out from the inhabitant; even the waters forgotten of the foot: they are dried up, they are gone away from men.
  21.   7 He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses.
  22.   10 Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
  23.   7 Thou calledst in atrouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret bplace of thunder: I cproved thee at the waters of dMeribah. Selah.
  24.   32 They angered him also at the waters of astrife, so that it went ill with Moses for their bsakes:
  25.   15 ¶ Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well.
  26.   6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of aShiloah that go softly, and rejoice in bRezin and Remaliah’s son;
      7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon athem the bwaters of the river, strong and many, even the king of cAssyria, and all his glory: and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks:
  27.   6 For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: for the hay is withered away, the grass faileth, there is no green thing.
          •  •  •
      9 For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: for I will bring more upon Dimon, lions upon him that escapeth of Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.
  28.   9 Ye have seen also the abreaches of the city of David, that they are many: and ye gathered together the waters of the lower bpool.
  29.   16 Hearken not to Hezekiah: for thus saith the king of Assyria, Make an agreement with me by a present, and come out to me: and eat ye every one of his vine, and every one of his fig tree, and drink ye every one the waters of his own cistern;
  30.   1 Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the awaters of Judah, which bswear by the name of the Lord, and make cmention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.
  31.   10 Art thou not it which hath adried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a bway for the cransomed to pass over?
  32.   9 For this is as the waters of Noah unto me: for as I have sworn that the awaters of Noah should no more go over the earth; so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.
  33.   18 And now what hast thou to do in the way of aEgypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of bthe river?
  34.   34 From the cry of aHeshbon even unto Elealeh, and even unto Jahaz, have they uttered their voice, from Zoar even unto Horonaim, as an heifer of three years old: for the waters also of Nimrim shall be desolate.
  35.   19 And the south side southward, from Tamar even to the waters of astrife in Kadesh, the river to the great sea. And this is the south side southward.
  36.   28 And by the border of Gad, at the south side southward, the border shall be even from Tamar unto the waters of astrife in Kadesh, and to the river toward the great sea.
  37.   6 And one said to the man aclothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
      7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and asware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to bscatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
  38.   8 Seek him that maketh athe seven bstars and Orion, and turneth the shadow of death into the cmorning, and maketh the day ddark with night: that calleth for the ewaters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: fThe Lord is his name:
  39.   6 It is he that buildeth his astories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the bwaters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
  40.   9 And when my father saw that the waters of the river emptied into the afountain of the Red Sea, he spake unto Laman, saying: O that thou mightest be like unto this river, continually running into the fountain of all righteousness!
  41.   2 Therefore let us go up; let us be astrong like unto Moses; for he truly spake unto the waters of the Red bSea and they divided hither and thither, and our fathers came through, out of captivity, on dry ground, and the armies of Pharaoh did follow and were drowned in the waters of the Red Sea.
  42.   26 Now ye know that aMoses was commanded of the Lord to do that great work; and ye know that by his bword the waters of the Red Sea were divided hither and thither, and they passed through on dry ground.
  43.   1 aHearken and hear this, O house of Jacob, who are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, or out of the waters of bbaptism, who cswear by the name of the Lord, and make mention of the God of Israel, yet they swear dnot in truth nor in righteousness.
  44.   20 My God hath been my asupport; he hath led me through mine bafflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep.
  45.   10 Art thou not he who hath dried the sea, the waters of the great deep; that hath made the depths of the sea a away for the ransomed to pass over?
  46.   6 Forasmuch as this people refuseth the waters of aShiloah that go softly, and rejoice in bRezin and Remaliah’s son;
      7 Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth up upon them the waters of the river, strong and many, even the king of aAssyria and all his glory; and he shall come up over all his channels, and go over all his banks.
  47.   8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are adesirous to come into the bfold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;
          •  •  •
      16 And after this manner he did baptize every one that went forth to the place of Mormon; and they were in number about two hundred and four souls; yea, and they were abaptized in the waters of Mormon, and were filled with the bgrace of God.
          •  •  •
      30 And now it came to pass that all this was done in Mormon, yea, by the awaters of Mormon, in the forest that was near the waters of Mormon; yea, the place of Mormon, the waters of Mormon, the forest of Mormon, how beautiful are they to the eyes of them who there came to the knowledge of their Redeemer; yea, and how blessed are they, for they shall bsing to his praise forever.
  48.   18 Therefore, Alma did go forth into the water and did abaptize them; yea, he did baptize them after the manner he did his brethren in the bwaters of Mormon; yea, and as many as he did baptize did belong to the church of God; and this because of their belief on the words of Alma.
  49.   15 Blessed art thou, Alma, and blessed are they who were baptized in the awaters of Mormon. Thou art blessed because of thy exceeding bfaith in the words alone of my servant Abinadi.
  50.   34 And thus he cleared the ground, or rather the bank, which was on the west of the river Sidon, throwing the bodies of the Lamanites who had been slain into the waters of Sidon, that thereby his people might have room to cross and contend with the Lamanites and the Amlicites on the west side of the river Sidon.
    1.   3 And now as many of the Lamanites and the Amlicites who had been slain upon the bank of the river Sidon were cast into the awaters of Sidon; and behold their bones are in the depths of the bsea, and they are many.
    2.   4 And they began to establish the achurch more fully; yea, and many were bbaptized in the cwaters of Sidon and were joined to the church of God; yea, they were baptized by the hand of Alma, who had been consecrated the dhigh priest over the people of the church, by the hand of his father Alma.
    3.   3 I, Alma, having been aconsecrated by my father, Alma, to be a bhigh priest over the church of God, he having power and cauthority from God to do these things, behold, I say unto you that he began to establish a church in the dland which was in the borders of Nephi; yea, the land which was called the land of Mormon; yea, and he did baptize his brethren in the waters of Mormon.
            •  •  •
        34 Yea, he saith: aCome unto me and ye shall partake of the bfruit of the tree of life; yea, ye shall eat and drink of the cbread and the waters of life dfreely;
    4.   15 Yea, I say unto you come and fear not, and lay aside every sin, which easily doth abeset you, which doth bind you down to destruction, yea, come and go forth, and show unto your God that ye are willing to repent of your sins and enter into a covenant with him to keep his commandments, and witness it unto him this day by going into the waters of baptism.
    5.   34 Therefore, they did as Ammon commanded them, and he went forth and stood to contend with those who stood by the waters of Sebus; and they were in number not a few.
    6.   7 Now it was the practice of these Lamanites to stand by the awaters of Sebus to scatter the flocks of the people, that thereby they might drive away many that were scattered unto their own land, it being a practice of plunder among them.
    7.   20 But others rebuked them, saying: The king hath brought this evil upon his house, because he slew his servants who had had their flocks scattered at the awaters of Sebus.
        21 And they were also rebuked by those men who had stood at the waters of Sebus and ascattered the flocks which belonged to the king, for they were angry with Ammon because of the number which he had slain of their brethren at the waters of Sebus, while defending the flocks of the king.
    8.   27 Therefore, O my son, awhosoever will come may come and partake of the waters of life freely; and whosoever will not come the same is not compelled to come; but in the last day it shall be brestored unto him according to his cdeeds.
    9.   40 And they were pursued by Lehi and his men; and they were driven by Lehi into the waters of Sidon, and they crossed the waters of Sidon. And Lehi retained his armies upon the bank of the river Sidon that they should not cross.
            •  •  •
        50 And they abegan to stand against the Lamanites with power; and in that selfsame hour that they cried unto the Lord for their freedom, the Lamanites began to flee before them; and they fled even to the waters of Sidon.
    10.   22 And it came to pass that they did cast their dead into the waters of Sidon, and they have gone forth and are buried in the depths of the asea.
    11.   11 Therefore he was constrained to speak more unto them saying: Behold, my brethren, have ye not read that God gave power unto one man, even Moses, to smite upon the waters of the Red aSea, and they parted hither and thither, insomuch that the Israelites, who were our fathers, came through upon dry ground, and the waters closed upon the armies of the Egyptians and swallowed them up?
    12.   16 And behold, also, if he say unto the awaters of the great deep—bBe thou dried up—it is done.
    13.   9 For this, the awaters of Noah unto me, for as I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so have I sworn that I would not be wroth with thee.
    14.   10 And it came to pass that the war began to be among them in the borders of Zarahemla, by the waters of Sidon.
    15.   8 And it came to pass that he came to the waters of Ripliancum, which, by interpretation, is large, or to exceed all; wherefore, when they came to these waters they pitched their tents; and Shiz also pitched his tents near unto them; and therefore on the morrow they did come to battle.
    16.   66 Yea, if they will come, they may, and partake of the awaters of life freely.
