"Thou shalt"

  1.   17 But of the atree of the bknowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the cday that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely ddie.
  2.   15 And I will put aenmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; bit shall cbruise thy head, and thou shalt dbruise his heel.
16 Unto the awoman he said, I will greatly bmultiply thy csorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth dchildren; and thy desire shall be to thy ehusband, and he shall rule over thee.
      17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy awife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: bcursed is the ground for thy sake; in csorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
      18 aThorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
  3.   7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be aaccepted? and if thou bdoest not well, csin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be dhis edesire, and thou shalt rule over him.
  4.   15 And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
          •  •  •
18 But with thee will I establish amy bcovenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons’ wives with thee.
          •  •  •
21 And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for afood for thee, and for them.
  5.   2 Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
  6.   2 And I will make of thee a agreat bnation, and I will cbless thee, and make thy dname great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
  7.   15 And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good aold age.
  8.   4 As for me, behold, my acovenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a bfather of many cnations.
          •  •  •
9 ¶ And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
          •  •  •
15 ¶ And God said unto Abraham, As for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not call her name Sarai, but aSarah shall her name be.
          •  •  •
19 And God said, aSarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed; and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish my bcovenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his seed after him.
  9.   7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall apray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.
          •  •  •
13 And it came to pass, when God caused me to awander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy bkindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.
  10.   23 Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son’s son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.
  11.   3 And I will make thee aswear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt bnot take a cwife unto my son of the daughters of the dCanaanites, among whom I dwell:
4 But thou shalt go unto my acountry, and to my bkindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.
          •  •  •
7 ¶ The aLord God of heaven, which took me from my bfather’s house, and from the land of my kindred, and which spake unto me, and that sware unto me, saying, Unto thy seed will I give this cland; he shall send his dangel before thee, and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence.
8 And if the woman will not be willing to follow thee, then thou shalt be clear from this my oath: only bring not my son thither again.
          •  •  •
37 And my master made me aswear, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife to my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, in whose land I dwell:
38 But thou shalt go unto my afather’s house, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son.
          •  •  •
40 And he said unto me, The aLord, before whom I bwalk, will send his angel with thee, and prosper thy way; and thou shalt take a wife for my son of my kindred, and of my father’s house:
41 Then shalt thou be clear from this my oath, when thou comest to my kindred; and if they give not thee one, thou shalt be clear from my oath.
  12.   10 And thou shalt bring it to thy father, that he may eat, and that he may bless thee before his death.
          •  •  •
40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy abrother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt bbreak his cyoke from off thy neck.
  13.   1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a awife of the daughters of bCanaan.
          •  •  •
      6 ¶ When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padan-aram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;
          •  •  •
14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the anorth, and to the south: and in thee and in thy bseed shall all the cfamilies of the earth be dblessed.
          •  •  •
22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the atenth unto thee.
  14.   27 Fulfil her week, and we will give thee this also for the service which thou shalt serve with me yet seven other years.
  15.   31 And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock.
  16.   50 If thou shalt afflict my daughters, or if thou shalt take other wives beside my daughters, no man is with us; see, God is witness betwixt me and thee.
          •  •  •
52 This heap be witness, and this pillar be witness, that I will not pass over this heap to thee, and that thou shalt not pass over this heap and this pillar unto me, for harm.
  17.   18 Then thou shalt say, They be thy servant Jacob’s; it is a present sent unto my lord Esau: and, behold, also he is behind us.
  18.   17 And it came to pass, when she was in hard labour, that the midwife said unto her, Fear not; thou shalt have this son also.
  19.   13 Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh’s cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.
  20.   40 Thou shalt be aover my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be bgreater than thou.
  21.   10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of aGoshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children’s children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast:
  22.   30 But I will lie with my fathers, and thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and abury me in their buryingplace. And he said, I will do as thou hast said.
  23.   4 Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s abed; then bdefiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.
  24.   18 And they shall ahearken to thy voice: and thou shalt come, thou and the elders of Israel, unto the king of Egypt, and ye shall say unto him, The Lord bGod of the Hebrews hath met with us: and now clet us go, we beseech thee, three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may dsacrifice to the Lord our God.
  25.   9 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe also these two signs, neither hearken unto thy voice, that thou shalt take of the water of athe river, and pour it upon the dry land: and the water which thou takest out of the river shall become bblood upon the dry land.
          •  •  •
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with thy amouth, and bteach thee what thou shalt say.
          •  •  •
15 And thou shalt speak unto him, and put words in his mouth: and I will be with thy amouth, and with his mouth, and will bteach you what ye shall do.
16 And he shall be thy aspokesman unto the people: and he shall be, even he shall be to thee instead of a mouth, and thou shalt be to him binstead of cGod.
17 And thou shalt take this arod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs.
          •  •  •
22 And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, aIsrael is my bson, even my cfirstborn:
  26.   2 Thou shalt speak all that I acommand thee: and Aaron thy brother shall speak unto Pharaoh, that he send the children of Israel out of his land.
          •  •  •
9 When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, aShew a bmiracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
          •  •  •
15 Get thee unto Pharaoh in the morning; lo, he goeth out unto the water; and thou shalt stand by the river’s brink aagainst he come; and the brod which was turned to a serpent shalt thou take in thine hand.
16 And thou shalt say unto him, The Lord aGod of the Hebrews hath sent me unto thee, saying, Let my people go, that they may bserve me in the wilderness: and, behold, hitherto thou wouldest not hear.
17 Thus saith the Lord, In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord: behold, I will smite with the rod that is in mine hand upon the waters which are in the ariver, and they shall be bturned to cblood.
  27.   15 For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.
  28.   28 And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.
  29.   46 In one house shall it be eaten; thou shalt not carry forth aought of the flesh babroad out of the house; neither shall ye cbreak a dbone thereof.
  30.   5 ¶ And it shall be when the Lord shall abring thee into the land of the bCanaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, which he csware unto thy fathers to give thee, a land dflowing with milk and honey, that thou shalt keep this service in this month.
6 Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, and in the seventh day shall be a feast to the Lord.
          •  •  •
8 ¶ And thou shalt ashew thy son in that day, saying, This is done because of that which the Lord did unto me when I came forth out of Egypt.
          •  •  •
10 Thou shalt therefore keep this ordinance ain his season from year to year.
          •  •  •
12 That thou shalt set apart unto the Lord aall that openeth the matrix, and every bfirstling that cometh of a beast which thou hast; the males shall be the Lord’s.
13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck: and all the afirstborn of man among thy children shalt thou redeem.
14 ¶ And it shall be when thy ason basketh thee in time to come, saying, What is this? that thou shalt say unto him, By strength of hand the Lord cbrought us out from Egypt, from the house of dbondage:
  31.   17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of thine inheritance, in the place, O Lord, which thou hast made for thee to dwell in, in the aSanctuary, O Lord, which thy hands have established.
  32.   6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt asmite the brock, and there shall come cwater out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
  33.   20 And thou shalt ateach them bordinances and claws, and shalt shew them the dway wherein they must ewalk, and the work that they must do.
21 Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people aable men, such as bfear God, cmen of truth, hating dcovetousness; and place such over them, to be erulers of thousands, and rulers of fhundreds, rulers of fifties, and rulers of tens:
          •  •  •
23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.
  34.   6 And ye shall be unto me a akingdom of bpriests, and an choly dnation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
          •  •  •
12 And thou shalt set abounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the bmount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death:
          •  •  •
24 And the Lord said unto him, Away, get thee down, and thou shalt come up, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the priests and the people break through to come up unto the Lord, lest he break forth upon them.
  35.   3 Thou shalt have ano other bgods before me.
4 Thou shalt anot make unto thee any bgraven cimage, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
      5 Thou shalt not abow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a bjealous God, cvisiting the diniquity of the efathers upon the fchildren unto the third and fourth generation of them that ghate me;
          •  •  •
7 Thou shalt not take the aname of the Lord thy God in bvain; for the Lord will not hold him cguiltless that dtaketh his name in vain.
          •  •  •
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy astranger that is within thy gates:
          •  •  •
      13 Thou shalt not akill.
14 Thou shalt not commit aadultery.
      15 Thou shalt not asteal.
16 Thou shalt not bear afalse witness against thy bneighbour.
17 Thou shalt not acovet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s bwife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
          •  •  •
22 ¶ And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have atalked with you from heaven.
          •  •  •
24 ¶ An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt asacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn astone: for if thou lift up thy btool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
  36.   1 Now these are the ajudgments which thou shalt set before them.
          •  •  •
14 But if a man come presumptuously upon his neighbour, to aslay him with bguile; thou shalt take him from mine altar, that he may die.
          •  •  •
23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
  37.   18 ¶ Thou shalt not suffer a awitch to live.
          •  •  •
21 ¶ Thou shalt neither vex a astranger, nor boppress him: for ye were cstrangers in the land of Egypt.
          •  •  •
25 ¶ If thou alend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him busury.
26 If thou at all take thy neighbour’s raiment to apledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down:
          •  •  •
28 ¶ Thou shalt not arevile bthe gods, nor ccurse the druler of thy people.
29 ¶ Thou shalt not delay to offer the afirst of thy ripe fruits, and of thy bliquors: the cfirstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me.
30 Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: aseven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me.
  38.   1 Thou shalt not raise a afalse report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
2 ¶ aThou shalt not bfollow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest cjudgment:
          •  •  •
4 ¶ If thou meet thine aenemy’s ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bbring it back to him again.
5 If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely ahelp with him.
6 Thou shalt not awrest the bjudgment of thy poor in his ccause.
          •  •  •
8 ¶ And thou shalt take no agift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 ¶ Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
10 And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
11 But the aseventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the bpoor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the aseventh day thou shalt brest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed.
          •  •  •
14 ¶ aThree times thou shalt keep a bfeast unto me in the year.
15 Thou shalt keep the afeast of unleavened bread: (thou shalt eat unleavened bread seven days, as I commanded thee, in the time appointed of the month bAbib; for in it thou camest out from Egypt: and none shall appear before me cempty:)
          •  •  •
18 Thou shalt not offer the ablood of my sacrifice with bleavened bread; neither shall the fat of my sacrifice remain until the morning.
19 The first of the afirstfruits of thy land thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not bseethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
          •  •  •
22 But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine aenemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
          •  •  •
24 Thou shalt not abow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly boverthrow them, and quite break down their images.
          •  •  •
27 I will send my afear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come, and I will make all thine enemies turn their backs unto thee.
          •  •  •
31 And I will set thy abounds from the bRed sea even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert unto cthe driver: for I will edeliver the finhabitants of the land into your hand; and thou shalt drive them out before thee.
32 Thou shalt make no acovenant with them, nor with their gods.
  39.   11 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, within and without shalt thou overlay it, and shalt make upon it a crown of gold round about.
12 And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.
13 And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
14 And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the aark, that the ark may be borne with them.
          •  •  •
16 And thou shalt put into the ark the atestimony which I shall give thee.
17 And thou shalt make a amercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
18 And thou shalt amake two bcherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
          •  •  •
21 And thou shalt put the amercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the btestimony that I shall give thee.
          •  •  •
23 ¶ Thou shalt also make a atable of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
24 And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
25 And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.

          •  •  •
28 And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
29 And thou shalt make the adishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and bcovers thereof, and bowls thereof, cto cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
30 And thou shalt set upon the table ashewbread before me alway.
31 ¶ And thou shalt make a acandlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of bthe same.
          •  •  •
37 And thou shalt make the seven alamps thereof: and they shall blight the clamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
  40.   1 Moreover thou shalt make the atabernacle with ten bcurtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with ccherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.
          •  •  •
4 And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.
          •  •  •
6 And thou shalt make fifty ataches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and bit shall be one tabernacle.

10 And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.

          •  •  •
22 And for the sides of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards.
          •  •  •
26 ¶ And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
          •  •  •
29 And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.
30 And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the afashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount.
31 ¶ And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:

  42.   2 And thou shalt make holy agarments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for bbeauty.
3 And thou shalt speak unto all that are awise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of bwisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
          •  •  •
9 And thou shalt take two aonyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
          •  •  •
11 With the work of an aengraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in bouches of gold.
12 And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
      13 ¶ And thou shalt make ouches of gold;

27 And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
          •  •  •
30 ¶ And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the aUrim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron’s heart, when he goeth in before the Lord: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the Lord continually.
31 ¶ And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
          •  •  •
33 ¶ And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:

41 And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; and shalt aanoint them, and bconsecrate them, and sanctify them, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office.
42 And thou shalt make them linen breeches to cover their nakedness; from the loins even unto the thighs they shall reach:
  43.   1 And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to ahallow them, to minister unto me in the bpriest’s office: Take one young cbullock, and two rams without blemish,
          •  •  •
3 And thou shalt put them into one basket, and bring them in the basket, with the bullock and the two rams.

          •  •  •

25 And thou shalt receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the Lord: it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
26 And thou shalt take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration, and wave it for a awave offering before the Lord: and it shall be thy part.
27 And thou shalt sanctify the breast of the wave offering, and the shoulder of the aheave offering, which is bwaved, and which is cheaved up, of the ram of the consecration, even of that which is for Aaron, and of that which is for his sons:

          •  •  •
17 Thou shalt make thee no molten agods.
18 ¶ The afeast of bunleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the ctime of the month dAbib: for in the emonth Abib thou camest out from Egypt.
          •  •  •
20 But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the afirstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.

30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
    20.   8 Take the arod, and gather thou the assembly together, thou, and Aaron thy brother, and bspeak ye unto the rock before their eyes; and it shall give forth his water, and thou shalt bring forth to them water out of the rock: so thou shalt give the congregation and their beasts drink.
            •  •  •
18 And Edom said unto him, Thou shalt not pass aby me, lest I come out against thee with the sword.
            •  •  •
20 And he said, Thou shalt not go through. And Edom came out against him with much people, and with a strong hand.
    21.   34 And the Lord said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the aAmorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
    22.   12 And God said unto Balaam, Thou shalt not go with them; thou shalt not curse the people: for they are blessed.
            •  •  •
35 And the angel of the Lord said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
    23.   5 And the Lord put a word in Balaam’s mouth, and said, Return unto Balak, and thus thou shalt speak.
            •  •  •
13 And Balak said unto him, Come, I pray thee, with me unto another place, from whence thou mayest see them: thou shalt see but the utmost part of them, and shalt not see them all: and curse me them from thence.
    24.   54 To amany thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to bfew thou shalt give the less inheritance: to every one shall his inheritance be given according to those that were numbered of him.
    25.   7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an ainheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
8 And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a man die, and have no son, then ye shall cause his inheritance to pass unto his daughter.
            •  •  •
13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.
            •  •  •
20 And thou shalt aput some of thine bhonour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
    26.   3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the aoffering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord; two lambs bof the first year without cspot day by day, for a continual dburnt offering.
            •  •  •
8 And the other lamb shalt thou offer at even: as the ameat offering of the morning, and as the drink offering thereof, thou shalt offer it, a sacrifice made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the Lord.
    27.   30 And of the children of Israel’s half, thou shalt take one portion of fifty, of the persons, of the beeves, of the asses, and of the flocks, of all manner of beasts, and give them unto the Levites, which keep the charge of the tabernacle of the Lord.
    28.   37 Also the Lord was aangry with me for your bsakes, saying, Thou also shalt not go in thither.
    29.   28 Thou shalt asell me bmeat for money, that I may eat; and give me water for money, that I may drink: only cI will pass through on my feet;
    30.   2 And the Lord said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.
            •  •  •
27 Get thee up into the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold it with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
28 But acharge Joshua, and encourage him, and bstrengthen him: for he shall cgo over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
    31.   25 ¶ When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do aevil in the sight of the Lord thy God, to provoke him to banger:
            •  •  •
29 But if from thence thou shalt aseek the Lord thy God, thou shalt bfind him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
            •  •  •
40 Thou shalt akeep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest bprolong thy cdays upon the dearth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.
    32.   7 Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting athe iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth bgeneration of them that chate me,
            •  •  •
11 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
            •  •  •
13 Six days thou shalt labour, and do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou.
            •  •  •
        17 Thou shalt not akill.
            •  •  •
31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the acommandments, and the bstatutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land which I give them to possess it.
    33.   5 And thou shalt alove the Lord thy God with all thine bheart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy cmight.
            •  •  •
7 And thou shalt ateach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt btalk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
8 And thou shalt abind them for a bsign upon thine hand, and they shall be as cfrontlets between thine eyes.
9 And thou shalt write them upon the aposts of thy house, and on thy gates.
            •  •  •
        11 And houses full of all good things, which thou filledst not, and wells digged, which thou diggedst not, vineyards and olive trees, which thou plantedst not; when thou shalt have eaten and be full;
            •  •  •
13 Thou shalt afear the Lord thy God, and bserve him, and shalt cswear by his name.
            •  •  •
18 And thou shalt do that which is aright and good in the sight of the Lord: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good land which the Lord bsware unto thy fathers,
            •  •  •
21 Then thou shalt say unto thy ason, We were Pharaoh’s bondmen in Egypt; and the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand:
    34.   2 And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly adestroy them; thou shalt bmake no ccovenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3 Neither shalt thou make amarriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
            •  •  •
11 Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the ajudgments, which I bcommand thee this day, to do them.
            •  •  •
14 Thou shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female abarren among you, or among your cattle.
            •  •  •
16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the Lord thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their agods; for that will be a snare unto thee.
17 If thou shalt say in thine heart, These nations are more than I; how can I dispossess them?
        18 Thou shalt not be afraid of them: but shalt well remember what the Lord thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt;
            •  •  •
21 Thou shalt not be affrighted at them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a mighty God and aterrible.
            •  •  •
24 And he shall deliver their kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from under heaven: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, until thou have destroyed them.
25 The graven images of their gods shall ye burn with fire: thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein: for it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.
26 Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.
    35.   2 And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to ahumble thee, and to bprove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.
            •  •  •
5 Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man achasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
6 Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, to awalk in his ways, and to fear him.
            •  •  •
9 A land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig abrass.
10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.
            •  •  •
18 But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get awealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
    36.   2 And I will awrite on the tables the words that were in the first tables bwhich thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
            •  •  •
20 Thou shalt fear the Lord thy God; him shalt thou serve, and to him shalt thou acleave, and bswear by his name.
    37.   1 Therefore thou shalt alove the Lord thy God, and keep his bcharge, and his statutes, and his cjudgments, and his commandments, alway.
            •  •  •
20 And thou shalt write them upon the adoor posts of thine house, and upon thy gates:
            •  •  •
29 And it shall come to pass, when the Lord thy God hath brought thee in unto the land whither thou goest to possess it, that thou shalt put the ablessing upon mount bGerizim, and the curse upon mount Ebal.
    38.   5 But unto the aplace which the Lord your God shall bchoose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt ccome:
            •  •  •
14 But in the aplace which the Lord shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.
            •  •  •
18 But thou must eat them before the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God in all that thou puttest thine hands unto.
            •  •  •
20 ¶ When the Lord thy God shall enlarge thy aborder, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul longeth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
21 If the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to put his name there be too far from thee, then thou shalt kill of thy herd and of thy flock, which the Lord hath given thee, as I have commanded thee, and thou shalt eat in thy gates whatsoever thy soul lusteth after.
22 Even as the roebuck and the hart is eaten, so thou shalt eat them: the unclean and the clean shall eat of them alike.
            •  •  •
24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go awell with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord.
26 Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which the Lord shall choose:
27 And thou shalt offer thy aburnt offerings, the bflesh and the blood, upon the altar of the Lord thy God: and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of the Lord thy God, and thou shalt eat the flesh.
            •  •  •
31 Thou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every aabomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters they have bburnt in the cfire to their gods.
32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not aadd thereto, nor bdiminish from it.
    39.   3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that aprophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the Lord your God bproveth you, to know whether ye love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
            •  •  •
8 Thou shalt not aconsent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:
9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be afirst upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
10 And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
            •  •  •
12 ¶ If thou shalt hear say in one of thy cities, which the Lord thy God hath given thee to dwell there, saying,
            •  •  •
15 Thou shalt surely smite the inhabitants of that city with the edge of the sword, destroying it utterly, and all that is therein, and the cattle thereof, with the edge of the sword.
16 And thou shalt gather all the spoil of it into the midst of the street thereof, and shalt burn with fire the city, and all the spoil thereof every whit, for the Lord thy God: and it shall be an heap for ever; it shall not be built again.
            •  •  •
18 When thou shalt hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep all his commandments which I command thee this day, to do that which is right in the eyes of the Lord thy God.
    40.   3 ¶ Thou shalt not aeat any abominable thing.
            •  •  •
21 ¶ Ye shall not eat of any thing that dieth of itself: thou shalt agive it unto the stranger that is in thy gates, that he may eat it; or thou mayest bsell it unto an alien: for thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not cseethe a kid in his mother’s milk.
22 Thou shalt truly atithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.
23 And thou shalt eat before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the Lord thy God always.
            •  •  •
26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the Lord thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,
27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.
28 ¶ At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the atithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:
    41.   1 At the end of every aseven years thou shalt make a brelease.
            •  •  •
6 For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not aborrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.
7 ¶ If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy agates in thy land which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not bharden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy cpoor dbrother:
8 But thou shalt open thine ahand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he bwanteth.
            •  •  •
10 Thou shalt surely give him, and thine heart shall not be grieved when thou givest unto him: because that for this thing the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thy works, and in all that thou puttest thine hand unto.
11 For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine ahand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
12 ¶ And if thy brother, an Hebrew man, or an Hebrew woman, be asold unto thee, and serve thee six years; then in the seventh year thou shalt let him go free from thee.
13 And when thou sendest him out free from thee, thou shalt not let him go away empty:
14 Thou shalt furnish him liberally out of thy flock, and out of thy afloor, and out of thy winepress: of that wherewith the Lord thy God hath blessed thee thou shalt give unto him.
15 And thou shalt aremember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee: therefore I command thee this thing to day.
            •  •  •
17 Then thou shalt take an aul, and thrust it through his aear unto the door, and he shall be thy servant for ever. And also unto thy maidservant thou shalt do likewise.
            •  •  •
19 ¶ All the afirstling males that come of thy herd and of thy flock thou shalt bsanctify unto the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work with the firstling of thy cbullock, nor shear the firstling of thy sheep.
20 Thou shalt eat it before the Lord thy God year by year in the aplace which the Lord shall choose, thou and thy household.
21 And if there be any ablemish therein, as if it be lame, or blind, or have any bill blemish, thou shalt not csacrifice it unto the Lord thy God.
22 Thou shalt eat it within thy gates: the aunclean and the clean person shall eat it alike, as the roebuck, and as the hart.
23 Only thou shalt not eat the blood thereof; thou shalt pour it upon the ground as water.
    42.   2 Thou shalt therefore sacrifice the apassover unto the Lord thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the bplace which the Lord shall choose to place his name there.
3 Thou shalt eat no aleavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat bunleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in chaste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.
            •  •  •
6 But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the apassover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the bseason that thou camest forth out of Egypt.
7 And thou shalt aroast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.
8 Six days thou shalt eat aunleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a bsolemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.
            •  •  •
10 And thou shalt keep the feast of aweeks unto the Lord thy God with a tribute of a freewill offering of thine hand, which thou shalt give unto the Lord thy God, according as the Lord thy God hath bblessed thee:
11 And thou shalt rejoice before the Lord thy God, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God hath chosen to place his name there.
12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a abondman in Egypt: and thou shalt observe and do these statutes.
13 ¶ Thou shalt observe the feast of atabernacles seven days, bafter that thou hast gathered in thy corn and thy wine:
14 And thou shalt rejoice in thy feast, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy manservant, and thy maidservant, and the Levite, the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, that are within thy gates.
15 Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose: because the Lord thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.
            •  •  •
19 Thou shalt not awrest bjudgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a cgift: for a gift doth dblind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
            •  •  •
21 ¶ aThou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.
    43.   1 Thou shalt not sacrifice unto the Lord thy God any bullock, or sheep, wherein is ablemish, or any bevilfavouredness: for that is an abomination unto the Lord thy God.
            •  •  •
7 The hands of the witnesses shall be afirst upon him to put him to death, and afterward the hands of all the people. So thou shalt put the evil away from among you.
            •  •  •
9 And thou shalt come unto the apriests the Levites, and unto the judge that shall be in those days, and enquire; and they shall bshew thee the sentence of judgment:
        10 And thou shalt do according to the sentence, which they of that place which the Lord shall choose shall shew thee; and thou shalt observe to do according to all that they inform thee;
11 According to the sentence of the law which they shall teach thee, and according to the judgment which they shall tell thee, thou shalt do: thou shalt not decline from the sentence which they shall shew thee, to the right hand, nor to the left.
12 And the man that will do presumptuously, and will not hearken unto the priest that standeth to minister there before the Lord thy God, or unto the judge, even that man shall die: and thou shalt put away the evil from Israel.
            •  •  •
15 aThou shalt in any wise set him bking over thee, whom the Lord thy God shall choose: one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a cstranger over thee, which is not thy brother.
    44.   9 ¶ When thou art come into the aland which the Lord thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the babominations of those nations.
            •  •  •
13 Thou shalt be aperfect with the Lord thy God.
14 For these nations, which thou shalt apossess, hearkened unto bobservers of times, and unto diviners: but as for thee, the Lord thy God hath not suffered thee so to do.
            •  •  •
22 When a aprophet bspeaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
    45.   2 Thou shalt aseparate three bcities for thee in the midst of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
3 Thou shalt prepare thee aa way, and divide the bcoasts of thy land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may cflee thither.
            •  •  •
7 Wherefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.
            •  •  •
9 If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the Lord thy God, and to awalk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:
            •  •  •
13 Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt aput away the bguilt of innocent blood from Israel, that it may go well with thee.
14 ¶ Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour’s alandmark, which they of old time have set in thine inheritance, which thou shalt inherit in the land that the Lord thy God giveth thee to possess it.
    46.   12 And if it will make no peace with thee, but will make war against thee, then thou shalt besiege it:
13 And when the Lord thy God hath delivered it into thine hands, thou shalt smite every male thereof with the edge of the sword:
14 But the women, and the little ones, and the cattle, and all that is in the city, even all the spoil thereof, shalt thou take unto thyself; and thou shalt aeat the spoil of thine enemies, which the Lord thy God hath given thee.
            •  •  •
16 But of the acities of these people, which the Lord thy God doth give thee for an inheritance, thou shalt save alive nothing that breatheth:
17 But thou shalt utterly adestroy them; namely, the Hittites, and the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee:
            •  •  •
19 ¶ When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (afor the tree of the field is man’s life) to employ them in the siege:
20 Only the trees which thou knowest that they be not trees for ameat, thou shalt destroy and cut them down; and thou shalt build bulwarks against the city that maketh war with thee, until it be subdued.
    47.   9 So shalt thou put away the guilt of innocent blood from among you, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of the Lord.
            •  •  •
        12 Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;
13 And she shall put the araiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife.
14 And it shall be, if thou have no delight in her, then thou shalt let her go whither she will; but thou shalt not asell her at all for money, thou shalt not bmake merchandise of her, because thou hast humbled her.
            •  •  •
23 His abody shall not bremain all night upon the ctree, but thou shalt in any wise bury him that day; (for he that is hanged is daccursed of God;) that thy land be not defiled, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an einheritance.
    48.   1 Thou shalt not see thy abrother’s ox or his sheep go bastray, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt in any case bring them again unto thy brother.
2 And if thy brother abe not nigh unto thee, or if thou know him not, then thou shalt bring it unto thine own house, and it shall be with thee until thy brother seek after it, and thou shalt restore it to him again.
            •  •  •
4 ¶ Thou shalt not see thy brother’s ass or his ox fall down by the way, and hide thyself from them: thou shalt surely ahelp him to lift them up again.
            •  •  •
6 ¶ If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the adam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the bdam with the young:
7 But thou shalt in any wise let the dam go, and take the young to thee; that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest aprolong thy days.
8 ¶ When thou buildest a new house, then thou shalt make a abattlement for thy roof, that thou bring not blood upon thine house, if any man fall from thence.
9 ¶ Thou shalt not sow thy vineyard with adivers seeds: lest the fruit of thy seed which thou hast sown, and the fruit of thy vineyard, be defiled.
10 ¶ Thou shalt not plow with an ox and an ass together.
11 ¶ Thou shalt not wear a garment of adivers sorts, as of woollen and linen together.
12 ¶ Thou shalt make thee afringes upon the four quarters of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest thyself.
            •  •  •
24 Then ye shall bring them both out unto the gate of that city, and ye shall stone them with stones that they die; the damsel, because she acried not, being in the city; and the man, because he hath humbled his neighbour’s wife: so thou shalt put away evil from among you.
            •  •  •
26 But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, aeven so is this matter:
    49.   6 Thou shalt not seek their peace nor their prosperity all thy days for ever.
7 ¶ Thou shalt not abhor an aEdomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a bstranger in his land.
            •  •  •
12 ¶ Thou shalt have a place also without the camp, whither thou shalt go forth abroad:
13 And thou shalt have a paddle upon thy weapon; and it shall be, when thou wilt ease thyself abroad, thou shalt dig therewith, and shalt turn back and cover athat which cometh from thee:
            •  •  •
15 ¶ Thou shalt not deliver unto his amaster the servant which is escaped from his master unto thee:
16 He shall dwell with thee, even among you, in that place which he shall choose in one of thy agates, where it liketh him best: thou shalt not oppress him.
            •  •  •
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the Lord thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the Lord thy God.
19 ¶ Thou shalt not lend upon ausury to thy brother; usury of money, usury of victuals, usury of any thing that is lent upon usury:
20 Unto a astranger thou mayest lend upon usury; but unto thy brother thou shalt not blend upon usury: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all that thou settest thine hand to in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
21 ¶ When thou shalt avow a bvow unto the Lord thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the Lord thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee.
22 But if thou shalt forbear to vow, it shall be no sin in thee.
23 That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the Lord thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.
24 ¶ When thou comest into thy neighbour’s vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

    50.   4 Her former husband, which sent her away, may not take her again to be his wife, after that she is defiled; for that is abomination before the Lord: and thou shalt not acause the land to sin, which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance.
            •  •  •
7 ¶ If a man be found astealing any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and maketh bmerchandise of him, or selleth him; then that thief shall die; and thou shalt put evil away from among you.
            •  •  •
10 ¶ When thou dost lend thy brother any thing, thou shalt not go into his house to fetch his pledge.
11 Thou shalt stand aabroad, and the man to whom thou dost lend shall bring out the pledge abroad unto thee.
12 And if the man be poor, thou shalt not asleep with his pledge:
13 In any case thou shalt deliver him the apledge again when the sun goeth down, that he may sleep in his own braiment, and bless thee: and it shall be righteousness unto thee before the Lord thy God.
14 ¶ Thou shalt not aoppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy bgates:
15 aAt his day thou shalt give him his bhire, neither shall the sun go down upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he ccry against thee unto the Lord, and it be sin unto thee.
            •  •  •
17 ¶ Thou shalt not apervert the bjudgment of the stranger, nor of the fatherless; nor take a widow’s raiment to pledge:
18 But thou shalt remember that thou wast a abondman in Egypt, and the Lord thy God redeemed thee thence: therefore I command thee to do this thing.
19 ¶ When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the awidow: that the Lord thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.
20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.
22 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.

            •  •  •
19 Therefore it shall be, when the Lord thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt ablot out the remembrance of bAmalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.
    2.   2 That thou shalt take of the first of all the afruit of the earth, which thou shalt bring of thy land that the Lord thy God giveth thee, and shalt put it in a basket, and shalt go unto the bplace which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name there.

            •  •  •
5 And thou shalt speak and say before the Lord thy God, A aSyrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into bEgypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a cnation, great, mighty, and dpopulous:
            •  •  •
10 And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land, which thou, O Lord, hast given me. And thou shalt set it before the Lord thy God, and worship before the Lord thy God:
11 And thou shalt arejoice in every good thing which the Lord thy God hath given unto thee, and unto thine house, thou, and the Levite, and the bstranger that is among you.
            •  •  •

7 And thou shalt offer peace aofferings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the Lord thy God.
8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.
            •  •  •

15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to ahell, to the sides of the pit.
              •  •  •
20 Thou shalt not be ajoined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the bseed of cevildoers shall never be renowned.
      29.   12 And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.
      30.   5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the abranch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
      31.   4 And thou shalt be brought down, and shalt speak out of the ground, and thy speech shall be low out of the adust, and thy voice shall be, as of one that hath a familiar spirit, out of the bground, and thy speech shall whisper out of the dust.
              •  •  •
6 Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring afire.
      32.   19 For the people shall dwell in aZion at Jerusalem: thou shalt weep no more: he will be very gracious unto thee at the voice of thy cry; when he shall hear it, he will answer thee.
              •  •  •
22 Ye shall defile also the covering of thy graven images of silver, and the ornament of thy molten images of gold: thou shalt cast them away as a menstruous cloth; thou shalt say unto it, Get thee hence.
23 Then shall he give the rain aof thy seed, that thou shalt sow the ground withal; and bread of the increase of the earth, and it shall be fat and plenteous: in that day shall thy cattle feed in large pastures.
      33.   1 Woe to thee that aspoilest, and thou wast not spoiled; and dealest btreacherously, and they dealt not treacherously with thee! when thou shalt cease to spoil, thou shalt be spoiled; and when thou shalt make an end to deal treacherously, they shall deal treacherously with thee.
              •  •  •
19 Thou shalt not see aa fierce people, a people of a deeper bspeech than thou canst perceive; of a stammering tongue, that thou canst not understand.
      34.   1 In those days was aHezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order: for thou shalt die, and not live.
      35.   7 And of thy asons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
      36.   12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
              •  •  •
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the amountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt afan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
      37.   2 When thou passest through the awaters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the bfire, thou shalt not be cburned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
      38.   21 ¶ Remember athese, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my bservant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be cforgotten of me.
              •  •  •
26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
              •  •  •
28 That saith of aCyrus, He is my bshepherd, and shall perform all my cpleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be dbuilt; and to the etemple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
      39.   1 Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of aBabylon, sit on the ground: there is no bthrone, O cdaughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate.
              •  •  •
5 Sit thou silent, and aget thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
              •  •  •
11 ¶ Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and amischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and bdesolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.
12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail.
      40.   18 ¶ Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these agather themselves together, and come to thee. As I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on thee, as a bride doeth.
              •  •  •
20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too astrait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.
              •  •  •
23 And kings shall be thy anursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing bmothers: they shall cbow down to thee with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be dashamed that wait for me.
      41.   22 Thus saith thy Lord the Lord, and thy God that apleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
      42.   10 ¶ Yet it pleased the Lord to abruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an boffering for sin, he shall see his cseed, he shall prolong his days, and the dpleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
      43.   3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the ashame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the breproach of thy widowhood any more.
              •  •  •
14 In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee.
              •  •  •
17 ¶ No aweapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every btongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the cservants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
      44.   5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and anations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the Lord thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
      45.   9 Then shalt thou acall, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the bputting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
              •  •  •
11 And the Lord shall aguide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in bdrought, and cmake fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a dspring of water, whose waters fail not.
12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
      46.   5 Then thou shalt see, and aflow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the babundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the cforces of the dGentiles shall come unto thee.
              •  •  •
16 Thou shalt also suck the amilk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of bkings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy cSaviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
              •  •  •
18 aViolence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy bwalls Salvation, and thy gates cPraise.
      47.   2 And the Gentiles shall asee thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new bname, which the mouth of the Lord shall name.
3 Thou shalt also be a acrown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
4 Thou shalt no more be termed aForsaken; neither shall thy bland any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called cHephzi-bah, and thy land dBeulah: for the Lord delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.
              •  •  •
12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the Lord: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
      48.   7 ¶ But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall asend thee, and whatsoever I bcommand thee thou shalt cspeak.
      49.   36 Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be aashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.
37 Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the Lord hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.
      50.   19 But I said, How shall I put thee among the children, and give thee a pleasant land, a goodly heritage of the hosts of nations? and I said, Thou shalt call me, My father; and shalt not turn away from me.
        1.   2 And thou shalt swear, The aLord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
        2.   27 Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.
28 But thou shalt say unto them, This is a nation that aobeyeth not the voice of the Lord their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.
        3.   4 ¶ Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return?
        4.   12 ¶ Therefore thou shalt speak unto them this word; Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Every bottle shall be filled with wine: and they shall say unto thee, Do we not certainly know that every bottle shall be filled with wine?
        5.   17 ¶ Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
        6.   2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the Lord; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity.
                •  •  •
19 ¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord, If thou areturn, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them.
        7.   2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place.
                •  •  •
8 Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink.
                •  •  •
10 ¶ And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, aWherefore hath the Lord pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?
        8.   22 Let a cry be heard from their houses, when thou shalt bring a troop suddenly upon them: for they have digged a pit to take me, and hid snares for my feet.
        9.   6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied alies.
        10.   8 ¶ And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord; Behold, I set before you the way of alife, and the way of death.
        11.   33 ¶ And when this people, or the prophet, or a priest, shall ask thee, saying, What is the aburden of the Lord? thou shalt then say unto them, What burden? I will even forsake you, saith the Lord.
        12.   27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be adrunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
        13.   4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; If ye will not ahearken to me, to bwalk in my claw, which I have set before you,
                •  •  •
8 ¶ Now it came to pass, when Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that the Lord had commanded him to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people took him, saying, Thou shalt surely adie.
        14.   13 Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.
                •  •  •
16 Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt adie, because thou hast taught rebellion against the Lord.
        15.   4 Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.
5 Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat them as common things.
        16.   3 And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of aBabylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
4 Yet hear the word of the Lord, O Zedekiah king of Judah; Thus saith the Lord of thee, Thou shalt not die by the sword:
5 But thou shalt die in peace: and with the burnings of thy fathers, the former kings which were before thee, so shall they burn odours for thee; and they will lament thee, saying, Ah lord! for I have pronounced the word, saith the Lord.
                •  •  •
14 At the end of aseven years let ye go every man his brother an Hebrew, which hath been sold unto thee; and when he hath served thee six years, thou shalt let him go free from thee: but your fathers hearkened not unto me, neither inclined their ear.
        17.   6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the Lord in the ears of the people in the Lord’s house upon the afasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.
                •  •  •
29 And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the Lord; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?
        18.   17 Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took him out: and the king asked him secretly in his house, and said, Is there any word from the Lord? And Jeremiah said, There is: for, said he, thou shalt be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon.
        19.   17 Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the Lord, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon’s princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:
18 But if thou wilt not go forth to the king of Babylon’s princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and thou shalt not escape out of their hand.
                •  •  •
23 So they shall bring out all thy wives and thy achildren to the Chaldeans: and thou shalt not escape out of their hand, but shalt be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and thou shalt cause this city to be burned with fire.
24 ¶ Then said Zedekiah unto Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and thou shalt not die.
                •  •  •
26 Then thou shalt say unto them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan’s house, to die there.
        20.   17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
18 For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy alife shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord.
        21.   16 But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam said unto Johanan the son of Kareah, Thou shalt not do this thing: for thou speakest falsely of Ishmael.
        22.   11 Go up into Gilead, and take abalm, O virgin, the daughter of Egypt: in vain shalt thou use many medicines; for thou shalt not be cured.
        23.   2 There shall be no more praise of Moab: in Heshbon they have devised evil against it; come, and let us cut it off from being a nation. Also thou shalt be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue thee.
                •  •  •
7 ¶ For because thou hast trusted in thy aworks and in thy treasures, thou shalt also be taken: and Chemosh shall go forth into bcaptivity with his priests and his princes together.
        24.   12 For thus saith the Lord; Behold, they whose judgment was not to adrink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.
        25.   26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the Lord.
                •  •  •
63 And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates:
64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.
        26.   21 ¶ Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of aEdom, that dwellest in the land of bUz; the ccup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
        27.   4 For they are impudent children and astiffhearted. I do bsend thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
                •  •  •
7 And thou shalt aspeak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.
        28.   18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely adie; and thou givest him not bwarning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall cdie in his diniquity; but his blood will I erequire at thine hand.
                •  •  •
25 But thou, O son of man, behold, they shall put bands upon thee, and shall bind thee with them, and thou shalt not go out among them:
26 And I will make thy tongue cleave to the roof of thy mouth, that thou shalt be adumb, and shalt not be to them a reprover: for they are a rebellious house.
27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy amouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus bsaith the Lord God; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him forbear: for they are a rebellious house.
        29.   3 Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a asign to the house of Israel.
4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
                •  •  •
6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
7 Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.
8 And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.
9 ¶ Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and afitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.
10 And thy ameat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.
11 Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.
12 And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
                •  •  •
15 Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow’s dung for man’s dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.
        30.   2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a asword after them.
3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.
        31.   6 He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations.
                •  •  •
13 ¶ He said also unto me, Turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations that they do.
                •  •  •
15 ¶ Then said he unto me, Hast thou seen this, O son of man? turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations than these.
        32.   3 Therefore, thou son of man, prepare thee astuff for bremoving, and remove by day in their sight; and thou shalt remove from thy place to another place in their sight: it may be they will consider, though they be a rebellious house.
4 Then shalt thou bring forth thy stuff by day in their sight, as stuff for removing: and thou shalt go forth at even in their sight, as they that go forth into captivity.
                •  •  •
6 In their sight shalt thou bear it upon thy shoulders, and carry it forth in the twilight: thou shalt cover thy face, that thou see not the aground: for I have set thee for a bsign unto the house of Israel.
        33.   41 And they shall aburn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women: and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou also shalt give no hire any more.
                •  •  •
43 Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast fretted me in all these things; behold, therefore I also will arecompense thy way upon thine head, saith the Lord God: and thou shalt not commit this lewdness above all thine abominations.
                •  •  •
61 Then thou shalt aremember thy ways, and be bashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger: and I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by thy covenant.
62 And I will establish my covenant with thee; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord:
        34.   7 And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all ahands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord God.
                •  •  •
32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.
        35.   2 Now, thou son of man, wilt thou judge, wilt thou judge the bloody city? yea, thou shalt shew her all her abominations.
                •  •  •
16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thyself in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.
        36.   27 Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.
                •  •  •
32 Thus saith the Lord God; Thou shalt drink of thy sister’s cup deep and large: thou shalt be laughed to scorn and had in derision; it containeth much.
33 Thou shalt be filled with adrunkenness and sorrow, with the cup of astonishment and desolation, with the cup of thy sister Samaria.
34 Thou shalt even drink it and suck it out, and thou shalt break the sherds thereof, and pluck off thine own breasts: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord God.

          22.   3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not awatch, I will come on thee as a bthief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
          23.   14 And the fruits that thy soul alusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
          24.   22 And inasmuch as thou shalt keep my commandments, thou shalt be made a aruler and a teacher over thy brethren.
          25.   6 Therefore go, my son, and thou shalt be favored of the Lord, because thou hast anot bmurmured.
          26.   34 And I also spake unto him, saying: Surely the Lord hath acommanded us to do this thing; and shall we not be diligent in keeping the commandments of the Lord? Therefore, if thou wilt go down into the wilderness to my father thou shalt have place with us.
          27.   20 Therefore remember, O man, for all thy doings thou shalt be brought into ajudgment.
          28.   6 And when I had spoken these words, the Spirit cried with a loud voice, saying: Hosanna to the Lord, the most high God; for he is God over all the aearth, yea, even above all. And blessed art thou, Nephi, because thou bbelievest in the Son of the most high God; wherefore, thou shalt behold the things which thou hast desired.
7 And behold this thing shall be given unto thee for a asign, that after thou hast beheld the tree which bore the fruit which thy father tasted, thou shalt also behold a man descending out of heaven, and him shall ye witness; and after ye have witnessed him ye shall bbear record that it is the Son of God.
          29.   25 But the things which thou shalt see hereafter thou shalt not write; for the Lord God hath ordained the apostle of the Lamb of God that he should awrite them.
          30.   8 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Thou shalt aconstruct a ship, after the bmanner which I shall show thee, that I may carry thy people across these waters.
          31.   18 Lift up thine eyes round about and behold; all these agather themselves together, and they shall come to thee. And as I live, saith the Lord, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them on even as a bride.
                  •  •  •
20 The children whom thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the first, shall aagain in thine ears say: The place is too strait for me; give place to me that I may dwell.
                  •  •  •
23 And akings shall be thy bnursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their face towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that cwait for me.
          32.   3 Wherefore, thy soul shall be blessed, and thou shalt dwell safely with thy brother, Nephi; and thy days shall be aspent in the service of thy God. Wherefore, I know that thou art redeemed, because of the righteousness of thy Redeemer; for thou hast bbeheld that in the cfulness of time he cometh to bring salvation unto men.
          33.   9 And he spake unto them, saying: Behold, my sons and my daughters, who are the sons and the daughters of my second son; behold I leave unto you the same blessing which I left unto the sons and daughters of Laman; wherefore, thou shalt not utterly be destroyed; but in the end thy seed shall be blessed.
                  •  •  •
11 And after he had made an end of speaking unto them, he spake unto Sam, saying: Blessed art thou, and thy aseed; for thou shalt inherit the land like unto thy brother Nephi. And thy seed shall be numbered with his seed; and thou shalt be even like unto thy brother, and thy seed like unto his seed; and thou shalt be blessed in all thy days.
          34.   30 And it came to pass that the Lord God said unto me: aMake other plates; and thou shalt engraven many things upon them which are good in my sight, for the profit of thy people.
          35.   7 And akings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their faces towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that bI am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that cwait for me.
          36.   22 Thus saith thy Lord, the Lord and thy God apleadeth the cause of his people; behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again.
          37.   1 aAnd in that day thou shalt say: O Lord, I will praise thee; though thou wast angry with me thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedest me.
          38.   4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that thou shalt take up this proverb aagainst the king of bBabylon, and say: How hath the oppressor ceased, the golden city ceased!
                  •  •  •
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the apit.
                  •  •  •
20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land and slain thy people; the aseed of bevil-doers shall never be renowned.
          39.   20 Then shall the Lord God say unto him: The learned shall not read them, for they have rejected them, and I am aable to do mine own work; wherefore thou shalt read the words which I shall give unto thee.
          40.   5 And there came a avoice unto me, saying: Enos, thy sins are bforgiven thee, and thou shalt be blessed.
          41.   22 And even at this time, when thou shalt have taught thy people the things which the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, even then are they found no more blameless in the sight of God, only according to the words which I have spoken unto thee.
          42.   17 Perhaps thou shalt asay: The man has brought upon himself his misery; therefore I will stay my hand, and will not give unto him of my food, nor impart unto him of my substance that he may not suffer, for his punishments are just—
                  •  •  •
28 And I would that ye should remember, that whosoever among you aborroweth of his neighbor should return the thing that he borroweth, according as he doth agree, or else thou shalt commit sin; and perhaps thou shalt cause thy neighbor to commit sin also.
          43.   11 And again, he saith that thou shalt be as a stalk, even as a dry stalk of the field, which is run over by the beasts and trodden under foot.
12 And again, he saith thou shalt be as the blossoms of a thistle, which, when it is fully ripe, if the wind bloweth, it is driven forth upon the face of the land. And he pretendeth the Lord hath spoken it. And he saith all this shall come upon thee except thou repent, and this because of thine iniquities.
                  •  •  •
15 And behold, we are strong, we shall not come into bondage, or be taken captive by our enemies; yea, and thou hast prospered in the land, and thou shalt also prosper.
                  •  •  •
35 Thou shalt have no aother God before me.
36 aThou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing in heaven above, or things which are in the earth beneath.
          44.   12 And now, ye remember that I asaid unto you: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of things which are in heaven above, or which are in the earth beneath, or which are in the water under the earth.
              13 And again: Thou shalt not abow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquities of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generations of them that hate me;
                  •  •  •
15 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him aguiltless that taketh his name in vain.
                  •  •  •
              18 But the seventh day, the sabbath of the Lord thy God, thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy man-servant, nor thy maid-servant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates;
                  •  •  •
              21 Thou shalt not akill.
22 Thou shalt not commit aadultery. Thou shalt not bsteal.
23 Thou shalt not bear afalse witness against thy neighbor.
24 Thou shalt not acovet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his man-servant, nor his maid-servant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.
          45.   10 Yet it pleased the Lord to abruise him; he hath put him to grief; when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin he shall see his bseed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
          46.   8 For thou hast said that aGod himself should come down among the children of men; and now, for this cause thou shalt be put to death unless thou wilt recall all the words which thou hast spoken evil concerning me and my people.
          47.   17 And he said unto Alma: Thou shalt go before this people, and I will go awith thee and deliver this people out of bbondage.
          48.   20 Thou art my servant; and I covenant with thee that thou shalt have aeternal life; and thou shalt serve me and go forth in my name, and shalt gather together my sheep.
          49.   20 And the man said unto him: I am a Nephite, and I know that thou art a holy prophet of God, for thou art the man whom an aangel said in a vision: Thou shalt receive. Therefore, go with me into my house and I will impart unto thee of my bfood; and I know that thou wilt be a blessing unto me and my house.
          50.   7 As I was journeying to see a very near kindred, behold an aangel of the Lord appeared unto me and said: Amulek, return to thine own house, for thou shalt feed a prophet of the Lord; yea, a holy man, who is a chosen man of God; for he has bfasted many days because of the sins of this people, and he is an hungered, and thou shalt creceive him into thy house and feed him, and he shall bless thee and thy house; and the blessing of the Lord shall rest upon thee and thy house.
8 And it came to pass that I obeyed the voice of the angel, and returned towards my house. And as I was going thither I found the aman whom the angel said unto me: Thou shalt receive into thy house—and behold it was this same man who has been speaking unto you concerning the things of God.

          1.   25 And now thou hast lied before God unto me. Thou saidst unto me—Behold these six onties, which are of great worth, I will give unto thee—when thou hadst it in thy heart to retain them from me; and it was only thy desire that I should deny the true and living God, that thou mightest have cause to destroy me. And now behold, for this great evil thou shalt have thy reward.
          2.   23 And now behold, I say unto you that if it had been possible for Adam to have apartaken of the fruit of the tree of life at that time, there would have been no death, and the word would have been void, making God a liar, for he said: bIf thou eat thou shalt surely die.
          3.   2 And the voice of the Lord came to Ammon, saying: Thou shalt not go up to the land of Nephi, for behold, the king will seek thy life; but thou shalt go to the land of aMiddoni; for behold, thy brother Aaron, and also Muloki and Ammah are in prison.
                  •  •  •
17 But Ammon stood forth and said unto him: Behold, thou shalt not slay thy son; nevertheless, it were abetter that he should fall than thee, for behold, he has brepented of his sins; but if thou shouldst fall at this time, in thine anger, thy soul could not be saved.
          4.   47 But behold, it is abetter that thy soul should be blost than that thou shouldst be the means of bringing many souls down to destruction, by thy lying and by thy flattering words; therefore if thou shalt deny again, behold God shall smite thee, that thou shalt become dumb, that thou shalt never open thy mouth any more, that thou shalt not deceive this people any more.
                  •  •  •
49 Now Alma said unto him: This will I give unto thee for a sign, that thou shalt be astruck dumb, according to my words; and I say, that in the name of God, ye shall be struck dumb, that ye shall no more have utterance.
          5.   24 For behold, they are more righteous than you, for they have not sinned against that great knowledge which ye have received; therefore the Lord will be merciful unto them; yea, he will alengthen out their days and increase their seed, even when thou shalt be utterly bdestroyed except thou shalt repent.
          6.   5 And now, because thou hast done this with such unwearyingness, behold, I will bless thee forever; and I will make thee mighty in word and in deed, in faith and in works; yea, even that aall things shall be bdone unto thee according to thy cword, for thou shalt dnot ask that which is contrary to my will.
          7.   14 Yea, if he say unto the aearthThou shalt bgo back, that it clengthen out the day for many hours—it is done;
                  •  •  •
20 And behold, if the Lord shall say unto a man—Because of thine iniquities, thou shalt be accursed aforever—it shall be done.
21 And if the Lord shall say—Because of thine iniquities thou shalt be acut off from my presence—he will cause that it shall be so.
          8.   21 Ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, and it is also written before you, that thou shalt not akill, and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment of God;
                  •  •  •
25 aAgree with thine adversary quickly while thou art in the way with him, lest at any time he shall get thee, and thou shalt be cast into prison.
26 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, thou shalt by no means come out thence until thou hast paid the uttermost senine. And while ye are in prison can ye pay even one asenine? Verily, verily, I say unto you, Nay.
              27 Behold, it is written by them of old time, that thou shalt not commit aadultery;
                  •  •  •
              33 And again it is written, thou shalt not aforswear thyself, but shalt bperform unto the Lord thine coaths;
                  •  •  •
              43 And behold it is written also, that thou shalt love thy neighbor and hate thine enemy;
          9.   5 And when thou aprayest thou shalt not do as the bhypocrites, for they love to pray, standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
          10.   19 For I will make my apeople with whom the Father hath covenanted, yea, I will make thy bhorn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass. And thou shalt cbeat in pieces many people; and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth. And behold, I am he who doeth it.
          11.   16 And I will cut off awitchcrafts out of thy land, and thou shalt have no more soothsayers;
              17 Thy agraven images I will also cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee, and thou shalt no more worship the works of thy hands;
          12.   3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left, and thy seed shall ainherit the bGentiles and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
4 Fear not, for thou shalt not be ashamed; neither be thou confounded, for thou shalt not be put to ashame; for thou shalt forget the bshame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the creproach of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.
                  •  •  •
14 In arighteousness shalt thou be established; thou shalt be far from oppression for thou shalt not fear, and from terror for it shall not come near thee.
                  •  •  •
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall revile against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the aservants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
          13.   42 And when thou hast done this thou shalt ago at the head of them down into the valley which is northward. And there will I meet thee, and I will go bbefore thee into a land which is cchoice above all the lands of the earth.
          14.   15 And the brother of Jared repented of the evil which he had done, and did call upon the name of the Lord for his brethren who were with him. And the Lord said unto him: I will forgive thee and thy brethren of their sins; but thou shalt not sin any more, for ye shall remember that my aSpirit will not always bstrive with man; wherefore, if ye will sin until ye are fully ripe ye shall be cut off from the presence of the Lord. And these are my cthoughts upon the land which I shall give you for your inheritance; for it shall be a land dchoice above all other lands.
                  •  •  •
20 And the Lord said unto the brother of Jared: Behold, thou shalt make a hole in the top, and also in the bottom; and when thou shalt suffer for air thou shalt unstop the hole and receive air. And if it be so that the water come in upon thee, behold, ye shall stop the hole, that ye may not perish in the flood.
          15.   21 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto the brother of Jared: Behold, thou shalt not suffer these things which ye have seen and heard to go forth unto the world, until the atime cometh that I shall glorify my name in the flesh; wherefore, ye shall btreasure up the things which ye have seen and heard, and show it to no man.
          16.   37 And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been faithful; wherefore, thy garments shall be made aclean. And because thou hast seen thy bweakness thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father.
          17.   11 Except thou ado this, thou shalt be delivered up and become as other men, and have no more gift.
          18.   30 And if this be the case, behold, I say unto thee Joseph, when thou hast translated a few more pages thou shalt stop for a season, even until I command thee again; then thou mayest translate again.
31 And except thou do this, behold, thou shalt have no more gift, and I will take away the things which I have entrusted with thee.
                  •  •  •
35 And if thou art afaithful in keeping my commandments, thou shalt be blifted up at the last day. Amen.
          19.   11 And if thou wilt ainquire, thou shalt know bmysteries which are great and marvelous; therefore thou shalt exercise thy cgift, that thou mayest find out mysteries, that thou mayest bring dmany to the knowledge of the truth, yea, econvince them of the error of their ways.
                  •  •  •
13 If thou wilt do agood, yea, and bhold out cfaithful to the dend, thou shalt be saved in the ekingdom of God, which is the greatest of all the fgifts of God; for there is no gift greater than the gift of gsalvation.
          20.   3 And the Lord said unto me: Verily, verily, I say unto thee, because thou desirest this thou shalt atarry until I come in my bglory, and shalt cprophesy before nations, kindreds, tongues and people.
          21.   10 Behold, thou hast a agift, or thou shalt have a gift if thou wilt desire of me in faith, with an bhonest heart, believing in the power of Jesus Christ, or in my power which speaketh unto thee;
          22.   25 And again, I command thee that thou shalt not acovet thy bneighbor’s cwife; nor seek thy neighbor’s life.
26 And again, I command thee that thou shalt not acovet thine own property, but impart it freely to the printing of the Book of Mormon, which contains the btruth and the word of God—
                  •  •  •
28 And again, I command thee that thou shalt apray bvocally as well as in thy heart; yea, before the world as well as in secret, in public as well as in private.
29 And thou shalt adeclare glad tidings, yea, bpublish it upon the mountains, and upon every high place, and among every people that thou shalt be permitted to see.
30 And thou shalt do it with all humility, atrusting in me, breviling not against revilers.
31 And of atenets thou shalt not talk, but thou shalt declare repentance and bfaith on the Savior, and cremission of sins by dbaptism, and by efire, yea, even the fHoly Ghost.
                  •  •  •
33 And misery thou shalt receive if thou wilt slight these acounsels, yea, even the destruction of thyself and property.
                  •  •  •
              36 aLeave thy house and home, except when thou shalt desire to see thy family;
          23.   1 Behold, there shall be a arecord kept among you; and in it thou shalt be called a bseer, a translator, a prophet, an capostle of Jesus Christ, an elder of the church through the will of God the Father, and the grace of your Lord Jesus Christ,
                  •  •  •
              4 Wherefore, meaning the church, thou shalt give aheed unto all his words and bcommandments which he shall give unto you as he receiveth them, walking in all choliness before me;
          24.   5 And thou shalt continue in calling upon God in my name, and writing the things which shall be given thee by the aComforter, and expounding all scriptures unto the church.
6 And it shall be given thee in the very moment what thou shalt aspeak and bwrite, and they shall hear it, or I will send unto them a cursing instead of a blessing.
7 For thou shalt devote all thy aservice in Zion; and in this thou shalt have strength.
8 Be apatient in bafflictions, for thou shalt have many; but cendure them, for, lo, I am with thee, even unto the dend of thy days.
9 And in temporal labors thou shalt not have strength, for this is not thy calling. Attend to thy acalling and thou shalt have wherewith to magnify thine office, and to expound all scriptures, and continue in laying on of the hands and bconfirming the churches.
                  •  •  •
18 And thou shalt take no apurse nor scrip, neither staves, neither two coats, for the church shall give unto thee in the very hour what thou needest for food and for raiment, and for shoes and for money, and for scrip.
          25.   2 A revelation I give unto you concerning my will; and if thou art faithful and awalk in the paths of bvirtue before me, I will preserve thy life, and thou shalt receive an cinheritance in Zion.
                  •  •  •
6 And thou shalt go with him at the time of his going, and be unto him for a scribe, while there is no one to be a scribe for him, that I may send my servant, Oliver Cowdery, whithersoever I will.
7 And thou shalt be aordained under his hand to expound scriptures, and to exhort the church, according as it shall be given thee by my bSpirit.
8 For he shall lay his ahands upon thee, and thou shalt receive the Holy Ghost, and thy time shall be given to writing, and to learning much.
                  •  •  •
10 And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the athings of this bworld, and cseek for the things of a dbetter.
                  •  •  •
15 Keep my commandments continually, and a acrown of brighteousness thou shalt receive. And except thou do this, where I am you ccannot come.
          26.   1 Behold, I say unto thee, aOliver, that it shall be given unto thee that thou shalt be heard by the church in all things whatsoever thou shalt teach them by the bComforter, concerning the revelations and commandments which I have given.
                  •  •  •
3 And thou shalt be obedient unto the things which I shall give unto him, even as aAaron, to bdeclare faithfully the commandments and the revelations, with power and cauthority unto the church.
                  •  •  •
              5 But thou shalt not write by way of acommandment, but by wisdom;
              6 And thou shalt not command him who is at thy head, and at the head of the church;
                  •  •  •
8 And now, behold, I say unto you that you shall go unto the aLamanites and preach my bgospel unto them; and inasmuch as they creceive thy teachings thou shalt cause my dchurch to be established among them; and thou shalt have revelations, but write them not by way of commandment.
                  •  •  •
10 Thou shalt not leave this place until after the conference; and my servant Joseph shall be appointed to preside over the conference by the voice of it, and what he saith to thee thou shalt tell.
              11 And again, thou shalt take thy brother, Hiram Page, abetween him and thee alone, and tell him that those things which he hath written from that bstone are not of me and that cSatan ddeceiveth him;

14 And thou shalt assist to settle all these things, according to the covenants of the church, before thou shalt take thy journey among the Lamanites.
15 And it shall be agiven thee from the time thou shalt go, until the time thou shalt return, what thou shalt do.
          27.   9 Behold, I say unto you, my servant John, that thou shalt commence from this time forth to aproclaim my gospel, as with the bvoice of a trump.
          28.   4 Thou art blessed, for thou shalt do great things. Behold thou wast sent forth, even as aJohn, to prepare the way before me, and before bElijah which should come, and thou knewest it not.
                  •  •  •
6 But now I give unto thee a commandment, that thou shalt abaptize by water, and they shall receive the bHoly Ghost by the laying on of the chands, even as the apostles of old.
                  •  •  •
              20 And a commandment I give unto thee—that thou shalt awrite for him; and the bscriptures shall be given, even as they are in mine own bosom, to the salvation of mine own celect;
                  •  •  •
23 And ainasmuch as ye do not write, behold, it shall be bgiven unto him to prophesy; and thou shalt preach my gospel and call on cthe holy prophets to prove his words, as they shall be given him.
          29.   11 And if thou do this, I have prepared thee for a greater work. Thou shalt preach the afulness of my gospel, which I have sent forth in these last days, the bcovenant which I have sent forth to crecover my people, which are of the house of Israel.
12 And it shall come to pass that power shall arest upon thee; thou shalt have great faith, and I will be with thee and go before thy face.
          30.   18 And now, behold, I speak unto the church. Thou shalt not akill; and he that bkills shall cnot have forgiveness in this world, nor in the world to come.
19 And again, I say, thou shalt not kill; but he that akilleth shall bdie.
20 Thou shalt not steal; and he that astealeth and will not repent shall be bcast out.
21 Thou shalt not alie; he that lieth and will not repent shall be cast out.
22 Thou shalt alove thy wife with all thy heart, and shalt bcleave unto her and none else.
                  •  •  •
24 Thou shalt not commit aadultery; and he that committeth badultery, and repenteth not, shall be ccast out.
              25 But he that has committed adultery and repents with all his heart, and forsaketh it, and doeth it ano more, thou shalt forgive;
                  •  •  •
27 Thou shalt not aspeak evil of thy neighbor, nor do him any harm.
                  •  •  •
29 If thou alovest me thou shalt bserve me and ckeep all my commandments.
                  •  •  •
              40 And again, thou shalt not be aproud in thy bheart; let all thy cgarments be plain, and their dbeauty the beauty of the ework of thine own hands;
                  •  •  •
42 Thou shalt not be aidle; for he that is idle shall not eat the bbread nor wear the garments of the claborer.
                  •  •  •
45 Thou shalt alive together in blove, insomuch that thou shalt cweep for the loss of them that die, and more especially for those that have not dhope of a glorious resurrection.
                  •  •  •
52 And they who have not faith to do these things, but believe in me, have apower to become my bsons; and inasmuch as they break not my laws thou shalt cbear their infirmities.
53 Thou shalt astand in the place of thy stewardship.
54 Thou shalt not take thy brother’s agarment; thou shalt bpay for that which thou shalt receive of thy brother.
55 And if thou aobtainest more than that which would be for thy support, thou shalt give it into my bstorehouse, that all things may be done according to that which I have said.
              56 Thou shalt ask, and my ascriptures shall be given as I have appointed, and they shall be bpreserved in safety;
                  •  •  •
              59 Thou shalt take the things which thou hast received, which have been given unto thee in my scriptures for a law, to be my alaw to govern my bchurch;
                  •  •  •
61 If thou shalt ask, thou shalt receive arevelation upon revelation, bknowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the cmysteries and dpeaceable things—that which bringeth ejoy, that which bringeth life eternal.
62 Thou shalt ask, and it shall be revealed unto you in mine own due time where the aNew Jerusalem shall be built.
                  •  •  •
65 Behold, thou shalt observe all these things, and great shall be thy areward; for unto you it is given to know the bmysteries of the kingdom, but unto the world it is not given to know them.
                  •  •  •
88 And if thy abrother or sister boffend thee, thou shalt take him or her between him or her and thee alone; and if he or she cconfess thou shalt be dreconciled.
89 And if he or she confess not thou shalt deliver him or her up unto the church, not to the members, but to the elders. And it shall be done in a ameeting, and that not before the world.
          31.   2 And then thou shalt be ordained by the hand of my servant Joseph Smith, Jun., to be an elder unto this church, to preach repentance and aremission of sins by way of baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God.
          32.   5 Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, saying thus: Thou shalt alove the Lord thy God with all thy bheart, with all thy might, mind, and strength; and in the name of Jesus Christ thou shalt cserve him.
6 Thou shalt alove thy bneighbor as thyself. Thou shalt not csteal; neither commit dadultery, nor ekill, nor do anything flike unto it.
7 Thou shalt athank the Lord thy God in all things.
8 Thou shalt offer a asacrifice unto the Lord thy God in brighteousness, even that of a broken heart and a ccontrite spirit.
              9 And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself aunspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of bprayer and offer up thy csacraments upon my dholy day;
                  •  •  •
12 But remember that on this, the aLord’s day, thou shalt offer thine boblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High, cconfessing thy sins unto thy brethren, and before the Lord.
13 And on this day thou shalt do none other thing, only let thy food be prepared with singleness of heart that thy afasting may be perfect, or, in other words, that thy bjoy may be full.
          33.   13 Behold, they have been sent to preach my gospel among the congregations of the wicked; wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, thus: Thou shalt not aidle away thy time, neither shalt thou bury thy btalent that it may not be known.
14 And after thou hast come up unto the land of Zion, and hast proclaimed my word, thou shalt speedily return, proclaiming my word among the congregations of the wicked, not in ahaste, neither in bwrath nor with cstrife.
          34.   11 aKeep these sayings, for they are true and bfaithful; and thou shalt cmagnify thine office, and push many people to dZion with esongs of everlasting joy upon their heads.
          35.   6 And if thou art afaithful unto the end thou shalt have a bcrown of cimmortality, and eternal life in the dmansions which I have prepared in the house of my Father.
          36.   30 And then if thou wilt spare him, thou shalt be rewarded for thy arighteousness; and also thy children and thy children’s children unto the third and fourth generation.
                  •  •  •
39 And again, verily I say unto you, if after thine aenemy has come upon thee the first time, he repent and come unto thee praying thy forgiveness, thou shalt forgive him, and shalt hold it no more as a testimony against thine enemy—
40 And so on unto the second and third time; and as oft as thine enemy repenteth of the trespass wherewith he has trespassed against thee, thou shalt aforgive him, until seventy times seven.
41 And if he trespass against thee and repent not the first time, nevertheless thou shalt forgive him.
42 And if he trespass against thee the second time, and repent not, nevertheless thou shalt forgive him.
43 And if he trespass against thee the third time, and repent not, thou shalt also forgive him.
44 But if he trespass against thee the fourth time thou shalt not forgive him, but shalt bring these testimonies before the Lord; and they shall not be blotted out until he repent and areward thee four-fold in all things wherewith he has trespassed against thee.
              45 And if he do this, thou shalt forgive him with all thine heart; and if he do not this, I, the Lord, will aavenge thee of thine enemy an hundred-fold;
          37.   8 Otherwise thou shalt continue proclaiming my gospel auntil thou be taken. Amen.
          38.   74 And be adorned as a bride for that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens, and cause the mountains to aflow down at thy presence, and the bvalleys to be exalted, the rough places made smooth; that thy glory may fill the earth;
          39.   3 Nevertheless, inasmuch as thou hast aabased thyself thou shalt be exalted; therefore, all thy sins are forgiven thee.
4 Let thy heart be of good acheer before my face; and thou shalt bear record of my name, not only unto the bGentiles, but also unto the Jews; and thou shalt send forth my word unto the ends of the earth.
          40.   8 And then, if thou aendure it well, God shall exalt thee on high; thou shalt triumph over all thy bfoes.
          41.   4 And although their influence shall cast thee into trouble, and into bars and walls, thou shalt be had in ahonor; and but for a small bmoment and thy voice shall be more terrible in the midst of thine enemies than the fierce clion, because of thy righteousness; and thy God shall stand by thee forever and ever.
          42.   10 And again, for the precedent, Matthew 16:18, 19: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this arock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
          43.   15 Joseph, my son, if thou livest until thou art eighty-five years old, thou shalt see the face of the Son of Man; therefore alet this suffice, and trouble me no more on this matter.
          44.   36 Abraham was acommanded to offer his son Isaac; nevertheless, it was written: Thou shalt not bkill. Abraham, however, did not refuse, and it was accounted unto him for crighteousness.
          45.   42 O Lord, thou shalt come down to make thy name known to thine adversaries, and all nations shall tremble at thy presence—
                  •  •  •
44 Yea, when thou comest down, and the mountains flow down at thy presence, thou shalt ameet him who rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, who remembereth thee in thy ways.
          46.   5 And it came to pass that I prayed unto the Lord that he would give unto the Gentiles grace, that they might have charity. And it came to pass that the Lord said unto me: If they have not charity it mattereth not unto thee, thou hast been afaithful; wherefore thy garments shall be made bclean. And because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong, even unto the sitting down in the place which I have prepared in the mansions of my Father. And now I . . . bid farewell unto the Gentiles; yea, and also unto my brethren whom I love, until we shall meet before the cjudgment-seat of Christ, where all men shall know that my garments are not spotted with your blood. The dtestators are now dead, and their etestament is in force.
          47.   25 If thou aborrowest of thy bneighbor, thou shalt crestore that which thou hast borrowed; and if thou canst not repay then go straightway and tell thy neighbor, lest he condemn thee.
26 If thou shalt find that which thy neighbor has alost, thou shalt make diligent search till thou shalt bdeliver it to him again.
27 Thou shalt be adiligent in bpreserving what thou hast, that thou mayest be a wise csteward; for it is the free gift of the Lord thy God, and thou art his steward.
          48.   25 And calling upon the name of God, he beheld his aglory again, for it was upon him; and he heard a bvoice, saying: Blessed art thou, Moses, for I, the Almighty, have cchosen thee, and thou shalt be made stronger than many dwaters; for they shall obey thy ecommand as if thou wert fGod.
26 And lo, I am awith thee, even unto the end of thy days; for thou shalt bdeliver my people from cbondage, even dIsrael my echosen.
                  •  •  •
40 And now, Moses, my son, I will speak unto thee concerning this earth upon which thou standest; and thou shalt awrite the things which I shall speak.
41 And in a day when the children of men shall esteem my words as anaught and btake many of them from the cbook which thou shalt write, behold, I will raise up another dlike unto thee; and they shall be ehad again among the children of men—among as many as shall believe.
          49.   17 But of the tree of the aknowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it, nevertheless, thou mayest bchoose for thyself, for it is given unto thee; but, remember that I cforbid it, for in the dday thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely edie.
          50.   20 And I, the Lord God, said unto the serpent: Because thou hast done this thou shalt be acursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life;
21 And I will put aenmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed; and he shall bbruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
22 Unto the woman, I, the Lord God, said: I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In asorrow thou shalt bring forth children, and thy desire shall be to thy bhusband, and he shall rule over thee.
23 And unto Adam, I, the Lord God, said: Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the fruit of the tree of which I commanded thee, saying—Thou shalt not eat of it, acursed shall be the ground for thy sake; in bsorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.
24 Thorns also, and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field.
25 By the asweat of thy bface shalt thou eat bread, until thou shalt return unto the ground—for thou shalt surely die—for out of it wast thou taken: for cdust thou wast, and unto dust shalt thou return.
            1.   8 Wherefore, thou shalt do all that thou doest in the aname of the Son, and thou shalt brepent and ccall upon God in the name of the Son forevermore.
                    •  •  •
                23 If thou doest well, thou shalt be aaccepted. And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door, and Satan bdesireth to have thee; and except thou shalt hearken unto my commandments, I will cdeliver thee up, and it shall be unto thee according to his desire. And thou shalt drule over him;
24 For from this time forth thou shalt be the father of his alies; thou shalt be called bPerdition; for thou wast also cbefore the world.
                    •  •  •
29 And Satan said unto Cain: aSwear unto me by thy throat, and if thou tell it thou shalt die; and swear thy brethren by their heads, and by the living God, that they tell it not; for if they tell it, they shall surely die; and this that thy father may not know it; and this day I will deliver thy brother Abel into thine hands.
                    •  •  •
36 And now thou shalt be acursed from the earth which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother’s blood from thy hand.
            2.   34 Behold my aSpirit is upon you, wherefore all thy words will I justify; and the bmountains shall flee before you, and the crivers shall turn from their course; and thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore dwalk with me.
35 And the Lord spake unto Enoch, and said unto him: Anoint thine eyes with aclay, and wash them, and thou shalt see. And he did so.
            3.   9 And I will make of thee a great anation, and I will bbless thee above measure, and make thy name great among all nations, and thou shalt be a blessing unto thy seed after thee, that in their hands they shall bear this ministry and cPriesthood unto all nations;
            4.   13 But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it; for in the time that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die. Now I, Abraham, saw that it was after the Lord’s atime, which was after the time of bKolob; for as yet the Gods had not appointed unto Adam his reckoning.
