"By the law"

  1.   39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.
  2.   12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
  3.   20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
      21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;

      27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
  4.   2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

      5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

      7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
  5.   39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
  6.   21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
  7.   11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

      21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
  8.   4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
  9.   22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
  10.   8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
  11.   12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
  12.   5 And men are instructed sufficiently that they know good from evil. And the law is given unto men. And by the law no flesh is justified; or, by the law men are cut off. Yea, by the temporal law they were cut off; and also, by the spiritual law they perish from that which is good, and become miserable forever.
  13.   31 And it shall come to pass that ye shall be smitten for your iniquities, for ye have said that ye teach the law of Moses. And what know ye concerning the law of Moses? Doth salvation come by the law of Moses? What say ye?
      32 And they answered and said that salvation did come by the law of Moses.
  14.   27 And now ye have said that salvation cometh by the law of Moses. I say unto you that it is expedient that ye should keep the law of Moses as yet; but I say unto you, that the time shall come when it shall no more be expedient to keep the law of Moses.
      28 And moreover, I say unto you, that salvation doth not come by the law alone; and were it not for the atonement, which God himself shall make for the sins and iniquities of his people, that they must unavoidably perish, notwithstanding the law of Moses.
  15.   14 Therefore thou art condemned to die, according to the law which has been given us by Mosiah, our last king; and it has been acknowledged by this people; therefore this people must abide by the law.
  16.   16 Now they did not suppose that salvation came by the law of Moses; but the law of Moses did serve to strengthen their faith in Christ; and thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation, relying upon the spirit of prophecy, which spake of those things to come.
  17.   3 Yea, and this was not all; they were a stiffnecked people, insomuch that they could not be governed by the law nor justice, save it were to their destruction.
  18.   2 Wherefore, although a man should be baptized an hundred times it availeth him nothing, for you cannot enter in at the strait gate by the law of Moses, neither by your dead works.
  19.   17 And whosoever shall go to law with thee shall be cursed by the law.
  20.   4 And are not united according to the union required by the law of the celestial kingdom;
