Heaven and earth

  1. 1 In the abeginning bGod ccreated the dheaven and the eearth.
    • • •
    15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
    • • •
    17 And God set them in the afirmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
    • • •
    20 And God said, Let the awaters bbring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and cfowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
  2. 1 Thus the heavens and the aearth were finished, and all the bhost of them.
    • • •
    4 ¶ These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were acreated, in the day that the bLord God made the earth and the heavens,
  3. 17 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a aflood of bwaters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the cbreath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
  4. 19 And the awaters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and ball the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
    • • •
    23 And every living substance was adestroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and bNoah only remained calive, and they that were with him in the ark.
  5. 4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a aname, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
  6. 19 And he blessed him, and said, aBlessed be Abram of the most high bGod, cpossessor of heaven and earth:
    • • •
    22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
  7. 3 And I will make thee aswear by the Lord, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt bnot take a cwife unto my son of the daughters of the dCanaanites, among whom I dwell:
  8. 4 And I will make thy aseed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the bnations of the earth be blessed;
  9. 28 Therefore God give thee of the adew of heaven, and the fatness of the earth, and plenty of corn and wine:
    • • •
    39 And Isaac his father answered and said unto him, Behold, thy dwelling shall be the fatness of the earth, and of the dew of heaven from above;
  10. 12 And he adreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the bangels of God ascending and descending on it.
  11. 4 Thou shalt anot make unto thee any bgraven cimage, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
    • • •
    11 For in asix days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord bblessed the sabbath day, and challowed it.
  12. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in asix days the Lord bmade heaven and earth, and on the cseventh day he drested, and was erefreshed.
  13. 19 And I will break the apride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
  14. 24 O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty ahand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?
  15. 26 I call aheaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over bJordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall cutterly be destroyed.
    • • •
    32 For ask now of the days that are past, which were before thee, since the day that God created man upon the earth, and ask from the one side of heaven unto the other, whether there hath been any such thing as this great thing is, or hath been heard like it?
    • • •
    36 Out of heaven he made thee to hear his voice, that he might ainstruct thee: and upon earth he bshewed thee his great fire; and thou heardest his words out of the midst of the fire.
    • • •
    39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the Lord he is aGod in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.
  16. 8 Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
  17. 14 Behold, the heaven and the aheaven of heavens is the Lord’s thy God, the bearth also, with call that therein is.
  18. 21 That your days may be multiplied, and the days of your achildren, in the land which the Lord sware unto your fathers to give them, bas the days of heaven upon the earth.
  19. 23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.
  20. 19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and acursing: therefore bchoose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
  21. 28 ¶ Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them.
  22. 1 aGive ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and bhear, O earth, the cwords of my mouth.
  23. 11 And as soon as we had aheard these things, our bhearts did melt, neither did there remain any more courage in any man, because of you: for the Lord your God, he is cGod in dheaven above, and in earth beneath.
  24. 4 Lord, when thou wentest out of Seir, when thou amarchedst out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and the heavens dropped, the clouds also dropped water.
  25. 10 The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall ajudge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his banointed.
  26. 9 ¶ And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
  27. 8 Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth.
  28. 23 And he said, aLord God of Israel, there is no bGod like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who ckeepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that dwalk before thee with all their heart:
    • • •
    27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and aheaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?
    • • •
    43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may aknow thy name, to bfear thee, as do thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house, which I have builded, is called by thy name.
  29. 15 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the acherubims, thou art the bGod, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast cmade heaven and earth.
  30. 31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice: and let men say among the nations, The Lord areigneth.
  31. 16 And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the Lord stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
  32. 11 Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the aglory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the bkingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
  33. 12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with aprudence and understanding, that might build an house for the Lord, and an house for his kingdom.
  34. 14 And said, O aLord God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that bwalk before thee with all their hearts:
    • • •
    18 But will God in very deed dwell with men on the earth? behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house which I have built!
    • • •
    33 Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.
  35. 23 Thus saith Cyrus king of Persia, All the kingdoms of the earth hath the Lord God of heaven given me; and he hath charged me to build him an ahouse in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Who is there among you of all his people? The Lord his God be with him, and let him go up.
  36. 2 Thus saith aCyrus king of Persia, The Lord God of heaven hath given me all the kingdoms of the earth; and he hath charged me to build him an bhouse at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.
  37. 11 And thus they returned us answer, saying, We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and build the house that was builded these many years ago, which a great king of Israel builded and set up.
  38. 6 Thou, even thou, art aLord alone; thou hast made bheaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou cpreservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
  39. 27 The heaven shall reveal his iniquity; and the earth shall rise up against him.
  40. 24 For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;
  41. 11 Who teacheth us more than the beasts of the earth, and maketh us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
  42. 3 He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.
  43. 33 Knowest thou the aordinances of bheaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth?
  44. 1 O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
  45. 4 He shall call to the aheavens from above, and to the earth, that he may bjudge his people.
  46. 5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
    • • •
    11 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
  47. 8 The earth shook, the heavens also adropped at the presence of God: even bSinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
  48. 34 Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moveth therein.
  49. 9 They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
    • • •
    25 Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
  50. 8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
  51. 18 The voice of thy thunder was in the heaven: the lightnings alightened the world: the earth trembled and shook.
  52. 2 The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
  53. 11 aTruth shall spring out of the bearth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
  54. 11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the aworld and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
  55. 11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
  56. 19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the Lord behold the earth;
    • • •
    25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the aearth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
  57. 11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
  58. 5 Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
  59. 6 Who ahumbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
  60. 15 Ye are ablessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.
    16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
  61. 2 My ahelp cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
  62. 8 Our ahelp is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
  63. 3 The Lord that made heaven and earth abless thee out of Zion.
  64. 6 Whatsoever the Lord pleased, that did he in heaven, and in earth, in the seas, and all deep places.
  65. 6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
  66. 8 Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh agrass to grow upon the mountains.
  67. 13 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name alone is excellent; his aglory is above the earth and heaven.
  68. 19 The Lord by wisdom hath afounded the earth; by bunderstanding hath he established the heavens.
  69. 3 The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable.
  70. 4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
  71. 2 Be not arash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be bhasty to cutter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy dwords be few.
  72. 2 aHear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth: for the Lord hath spoken, I have nourished and brought up children, and they have brebelled against me.
  73. 13 Therefore I will ashake the heavens, and the bearth shall cremove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of hosts, and in the day of his fierce danger.
  74. 16 O Lord of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the acherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.
  75. 12 ¶ Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
    • • •
    22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that astretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:
  76. 5 ¶ Thus saith God the Lord, he that acreated the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth bbreath unto the people upon it, and cspirit to them that dwalk therein:
  77. 23 aSing, O ye heavens; for the Lord hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into bsinging, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the Lord hath credeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
    24 Thus saith the Lord, thy aredeemer, and he that bformed thee from the womb, I am the Lord that cmaketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
  78. 8 Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down arighteousness: let the earth open, and let bthem bring forth csalvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the Lord have created it.
    • • •
    12 I have amade the earth, and bcreated man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their chost have I commanded.
    • • •
    18 For thus saith the Lord that acreated the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be binhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.
  79. 13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the aearth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
  80. 13 ¶ aSing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into bsinging, O mountains: for the Lord hath ccomforted his people, and will have dmercy upon his eafflicted.
  81. 6 Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: for the heavens shall avanish away like smoke, and the earth shall bwax cold like a garment, and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
    • • •
    13 And aforgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the bearth; and hast feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
    • • •
    16 And I have put my awords in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
  82. 9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my aways bhigher than your ways, and my cthoughts than your thoughts.
    10 For as the arain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bbread to the eater:
  83. 17 ¶ For, behold, I acreate new bheavens and a cnew dearth: and the eformer shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
  84. 1 Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my athrone, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?
    • • •
    22 For as the anew heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your bseed and your name remain.
  85. 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was awithout form, and bvoid; and the heavens, and they had no light.
    • • •
    28 For this shall the earth mourn, and the heavens above be black: because I have spoken it, I have purposed it, and will not arepent, neither will I turn back from it.
  86. 33 And the acarcases of this people shall be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth; and none shall fray them away.
  87. 2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have aworshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be bburied; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth.
  88. 11 Thus shall ye say unto them, The agods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens.
    12 He hath made the earth by his power, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by his discretion.
    13 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens, and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his atreasures.
  89. 3 And I will appoint over them four akinds, saith the Lord: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to bdevour and destroy.
  90. 4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be alamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be bconsumed by the sword, and by famine; and their ccarcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
  91. 7 And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the sword before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their acarcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth.
  92. 24 Can any ahide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I bfill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
  93. 37 Thus saith the Lord; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the Lord.
  94. 17 Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too ahard for thee:
  95. 25 Thus saith the Lord; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth;
  96. 20 I will even agive them into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of them that seek their life: and their dead bodies shall be for meat unto the fowls of the heaven, and to the beasts of the earth.
  97. 15 He hath amade the earth by his bpower, he hath established the world by his wisdom, and hath stretched out the heaven by his cunderstanding.
    16 When he uttereth his voice, there is a multitude of waters in the heavens; and he causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth: he maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out of his treasures.
    • • •
    48 Then the heaven and the earth, and all that is therein, shall asing for Babylon: for the spoilers shall come unto her from the bnorth, saith the Lord.
  98. 1 How hath the Lord covered the daughter of Zion with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Israel, and remembered not his afootstool in the day of his anger!
  99. 3 And he put forth the form of an hand, and took me by a lock of mine head; and the aspirit lifted me up between the earth and the bheaven, and brought me in the cvisions of God to Jerusalem, to the door of the inner gate that looketh toward the north; where was the seat of the image of jealousy, which provoketh to jealousy.
  100. 4 Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee.
  101. 20 So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
  102. 11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:
    • • •
    15 Nevertheless leave the stump of his roots in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts in the grass of the earth:
    • • •
    20 The tree that thou sawest, which grew, and was strong, whose height reached unto the heaven, and the sight thereof to all the earth;
    • • •
    22 It is thou, O king, that art grown and become strong: for thy greatness is grown, and reacheth unto heaven, and thy adominion to the end of the earth.
    23 And whereas the king saw a watcher and an holy one coming down from heaven, and saying, Hew the tree down, and destroy it; yet leave the stump of the roots thereof in the earth, even with a band of iron and brass, in the tender grass of the field; and let it be wet with the dew of heaven, and let his portion be with the beasts of the field, till seven times pass over him;
    • • •
    35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as anothing: and he doeth according to his bwill in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can cstay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
  103. 27 He adelivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath bdelivered Daniel from the power of the lions.
  104. 18 And in that day will I make a acovenant for them with the bbeasts of the field, and with the fowls of heaven, and with the creeping things of the ground: and I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down csafely.
    • • •
    21 And it shall come to pass in that day, I will hear, saith the Lord, I will hear the heavens, and they shall hear the earth;
  105. 10 The aearth shall quake before them; the heavens shall btremble: the csun and the moon shall be ddark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
    • • •
    30 And I will shew awonders in the bheavens and in the earth, blood, and cfire, and pillars of smoke.
  106. 16 The aLord also shall broar out of cZion, and dutter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall eshake: but the Lord will be the fhope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.
  107. 6 It is he that buildeth his astories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the bwaters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The Lord is his name.
  108. 3 God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount aParan. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.
  109. 10 Therefore the heaven over you is stayed from dew, and the earth is stayed from her afruit.
  110. 6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will ashake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;
    • • •
    21 Speak to Zerubbabel, governor of Judah, saying, I will shake the heavens and the aearth;
  111. 9 Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.
  112. 5 And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four aspirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
  113. 1 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the aearth, and formeth the bspirit of man within him.
  114. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the alaw, till all be bfulfilled.
  115. 10 Thy akingdom come. Thy bwill be done cin earth, as it is in heaven.
  116. 25 ¶ At that time Jesus answered and said, I athank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast bhid these things from the wise and cprudent, and hast drevealed them unto ebabes.
  117. 19 And I will agive unto thee the bkeys of the ckingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt dbind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
  118. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall abind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
    19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall aagree on earth as btouching any thing that they shall cask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
  119. 9 aAnd call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
  120. 30 And then shall appear the asign of the Son of man in bheaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth cmourn, and they shall see the dSon of man coming in the clouds of heaven with epower and great fglory.
    • • •
    35 Heaven and earth shall apass away, but my bwords shall not cpass away.
  121. 18 And aJesus came and spake unto them, saying, All bpower is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
  122. 27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
    • • •
    31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my awords shall not pass away.
  123. 21 ¶ In that hour Jesus arejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things bfrom the wise and cprudent, and hast revealed them unto dbabes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
  124. 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our aFather which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy bname. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.
  125. 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the alaw to fail.
  126. 26 Men’s hearts afailing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be bshaken.
    • • •
    33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
  127. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye abelieve not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things?
    • • •
    31 He that cometh from aabove is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
  128. 19 And I will shew awonders in heaven above, and bsigns in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
  129. 24 And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and aearth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
  130. 49 Heaven is my athrone, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest?
  131. 11 And saw aheaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet bknit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
  132. 15 And saying, Sirs, why do ye these things? We also are amen of like bpassions with you, and preach unto you that ye should turn from these cvanities unto the living God, which dmade heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are therein:
  133. 24 God that amade the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, bdwelleth not in temples made with hands;
  134. 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)
  135. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.
  136. 1 For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
  137. 10 That in the adispensation of the fulness of times he might bgather together in one call things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:
  138. 15 Of whom the whole afamily in heaven and earth is named,
  139. 10 That at the aname of Jesus every bknee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
  140. 16 For by him were all athings bcreated, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or cprincipalities, or powers: all things were dcreated by him, and for him:
    • • •
    20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to areconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
  141. 10 And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the afoundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine bhands:
  142. 25 See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they aescaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:
    26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I ashake not the earth only, but also heaven.
  143. 12 But above all things, my brethren, aswear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other boath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.
    • • •
    18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
  144. 5 For this they willingly are aignorant of, that by the bword of God the heavens were of old, and the cearth standing out of the water and in the water:
    • • •
    7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto afire against the day of judgment and bperdition of ungodly men.
    • • •
    10 But the aday of the Lord will bcome as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall cpass away with a great noise, and the delements shall melt with fervent heat, the eearth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
    • • •
    13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new aheavens and a bnew cearth, wherein dwelleth drighteousness.
  145. 3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
    • • •
    13 And every acreature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and bpower, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
  146. 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her auntimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
  147. 13 And I beheld, and heard an aangel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, bWoe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!
  148. 1 And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the abottomless bpit.
  149. 5 And the angel which I saw astand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
    6 And asware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be btime no longer:
    • • •
    8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
  150. 6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to aturn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all bplagues, as often as they will.
  151. 4 And his tail drew the athird part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.
    • • •
    12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.
  152. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
  153. 6 And I saw another aangel fly in the midst of heaven, having the beverlasting cgospel to dpreach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every enation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
    7 Saying with a loud voice, aFear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his bjudgment is come: and cworship dhim that made eheaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
  154. 1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was alightened with his glory.
  155. 9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
    • • •
    11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the aearth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no bplace for them.
  156. 1 And I saw a anew bheaven and a new cearth: for the first heaven and the first dearth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
  157. 14 And it came to pass that when my father had read and seen many great and marvelous things, he did exclaim many things unto the Lord; such as: Great and marvelous are thy works, O Lord God Almighty! Thy throne is high in the heavens, and thy apower, and goodness, and mercy are over all the inhabitants of the earth; and, because thou art merciful, thou wilt not suffer those who bcome unto thee that they shall perish!
  158. 39 He ruleth high in the heavens, for it is his throne, and this earth is his afootstool.
  159. 13 Mine hand hath also alaid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens. I bcall unto them and they stand up together.
  160. 13 aSing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; for the feet of those who are in the east shall be established; and bbreak forth into singing, O mountains; for they shall be smitten no more; for the Lord hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his cafflicted.
  161. 9 And it shall also be of aworth unto the Gentiles; and not only unto the Gentiles but bunto all the chouse of Israel, unto the making known of the dcovenants of the Father of heaven unto Abraham, saying: In thy eseed shall all the kindreds of the earth be fblessed.
  162. 14 And now, my sons, I speak unto you these things for your profit and alearning; for there is a God, and he hath bcreated all things, both the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them are, both things to act and things to be cacted upon.
  163. 6 Lift up your eyes to the aheavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall bvanish away like smoke, and the earth shall cwax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner. But my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
    • • •
    13 And aforgettest the Lord thy maker, that hath bstretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth, and hast feared continually every day, because of the fury of the coppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor?
    • • •
    16 And I have aput my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion: Behold, thou art my bpeople.
  164. 13 Therefore, I will ashake the heavens, and the earth shall bremove out of her place, in the wrath of the Lord of Hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
  165. 12 But, behold, they shall have awars, and rumors of wars; and when the day cometh that the bOnly Begotten of the Father, yea, even the Father of heaven and of earth, shall cmanifest himself unto them in the flesh, behold, they will reject him, because of their iniquities, and the hardness of their hearts, and the stiffness of their necks.
  166. 7 Know ye not that there are more anations than one? Know ye not that I, the Lord your God, have created all men, and that I remember those who are upon the bisles of the sea; and that I rule in the heavens above and in the cearth beneath; and I bring forth my dword unto the children of men, yea, even upon all the nations of the earth?
  167. 5 But behold, hearken ye unto me, and know that by the help of the all-powerful Creator of heaven and earth I can tell you concerning your athoughts, how that ye are beginning to labor in sin, which sin appeareth very abominable unto me, yea, and abominable unto God.
  168. 14 And I said unto him: What am I that I should atempt God to show unto thee a sign in the thing which thou knowest to be btrue? Yet thou wilt deny it, because thou art of the cdevil. Nevertheless, not my will be done; but if God shall smite thee, let that be a dsign unto thee that he has power, both in heaven and in earth; and also, that Christ shall come. And thy will, O Lord, be done, and not mine.
  169. 8 And he shall be called aJesus bChrist, the cSon of God, the dFather of heaven and earth, the eCreator of all things from the beginning; and his fmother shall be called Mary.
  170. 2 And they had aviewed themselves in their own bcarnal state, even cless than the dust of the earth. And they all cried aloud with one voice, saying: O have mercy, and apply the datoning blood of Christ that we may receive forgiveness of our sins, and our hearts may be epurified; for we believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who fcreated heaven and earth, and all things; who shall come down among the children of men.

    9 Believe in aGod; believe that he is, and that he bcreated all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all cwisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not dcomprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend.
  171. 15 Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in agood works, that Christ, the bLord God Omnipotent, may cseal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who dcreated all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.
  172. 36 aThou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing in heaven above, or things which are in the earth beneath.
  173. 12 And now, ye remember that I asaid unto you: Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of things which are in heaven above, or which are in the earth beneath, or which are in the water under the earth.

  176. 50 Yea, thus saith the Spirit: Repent, all ye ends of the earth, for the kingdom of heaven is soon at hand; yea, the Son of God cometh in his aglory, in his might, majesty, power, and dominion. 218. 14 I, the Lord, stretched out the heavens, and abuilt the earth, my very bhandiwork; and all things therein are mine.
  219. 74 And be adorned as a bride for that day when thou shalt unveil the heavens, and cause the mountains to aflow down at thy presence, and the bvalleys to be exalted, the rough places made smooth; that thy glory may fill the earth;
  220. 11 After this avision closed, the heavens were again bopened unto us; and cMoses appeared before us, and committed unto us the dkeys of the egathering of Israel from the four parts of the earth, and the leading of the ten tribes from the land of the fnorth.
  221. 6 For have I not the fowls of heaven, and also the fish of the sea, and the beasts of the mountains? Have I not amade the earth? Do I not hold the bdestinies of all the armies of the nations of the earth?
  222. 4 O Lord God aAlmighty, maker of bheaven, earth, and seas, and of all things that in them are, and who controllest and subjectest the devil, and the dark and benighted dominion of Sheol—stretch forth thy hand; let thine eye pierce; let thy cpavilion be taken up; let thy dhiding place no longer be covered; let thine ear be inclined; let thine eheart be softened, and thy bowels moved with compassion toward us.
  223. 93 That whoever he blesses shall be blessed, and whoever he acurses shall be cursed; that whatsoever he shall bbind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever he shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
  224. 7 That in all your recordings it may be arecorded in heaven; whatsoever you bbind on earth, may be bound in heaven; whatsoever you loose on earth, may be loosed in heaven;
  225. 7 You will discover in this quotation that the books were opened; and another book was opened, which was the book of life; but the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works; consequently, the books spoken of must be the books which contained the record of their works, and refer to the arecords which are kept on the earth. And the book which was the bbook of life is the record which is kept in heaven; the principle agreeing precisely with the doctrine which is commanded you in the revelation contained in the letter which I wrote to you previous to my leaving my place—that in all your recordings it may be recorded in heaven.
    8 Now, the nature of this ordinance consists in the apower of the priesthood, by the revelation of Jesus Christ, wherein it is granted that whatsoever you bbind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Or, in other words, taking a different view of the translation, whatsoever you record on earth shall be recorded in heaven, and whatsoever you do not record on earth shall not be recorded in heaven; for out of the books shall your dead be judged, according to their own works, whether they themselves have attended to the cordinances in their own propria persona, or by the means of their own agents, according to the ordinance which God has prepared for their salvation from before the foundation of the world, according to the records which they have kept concerning their dead.
    9 It may seem to some to be a very bold doctrine that we talk of—a power which records or binds on earth and binds in heaven. Nevertheless, in all ages of the world, whenever the Lord has given a adispensation of the priesthood to any man by actual revelation, or any set of men, this power has always been given. Hence, whatsoever those men did in bauthority, in the name of the Lord, and did it truly and faithfully, and kept a proper and faithful record of the same, it became a law on earth and in heaven, and could not be annulled, according to the decrees of the great cJehovah. This is a faithful saying. Who can hear it?
    10 And again, for the precedent, Matthew 16:18, 19: And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this arock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

    13 Consequently, the abaptismal font was instituted as a similitude of the grave, and was commanded to be in a place underneath where the living are wont to assemble, to show forth the living and the dead, and that all things may have their likeness, and that they may accord one with another—that which is earthly conforming to that which is bheavenly, as Paul hath declared, 1 Corinthians 15:46, 47, and 48:
    14 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as are the records on the earth in relation to your dead, which are truly made out, so also are the records in heaven. This, therefore, is the asealing and binding power, and, in one sense of the word, the bkeys of the kingdom, which consist in the key of cknowledge.

    19 Now, what do we hear in the gospel which we have received? A voice of agladness! A voice of mercy from heaven; and a voice of btruth out of the earth; glad tidings for the dead; a voice of gladness for the living and the dead; glad tidings of great cjoy. How beautiful upon the mountains are the dfeet of those that bring glad tidings of good things, and that say unto Zion: Behold, thy God reigneth! As the edews of Carmel, so shall the knowledge of God descend upon them!
  226. 46 And verily, verily, I say unto you, that whatsoever you aseal on earth shall be sealed in heaven; and whatsoever you bbind on earth, in my name and by my word, saith the Lord, it shall be eternally bound in the heavens; and whosesoever sins you cremit on earth shall be remitted eternally in the heavens; and whosesoever sins you retain on earth shall be retained in heaven.

    48 And again, verily I say unto you, my servant Joseph, that whatsoever you give on earth, and to whomsoever you agive any one on earth, by my word and according to my law, it shall be visited with blessings and not cursings, and with my power, saith the Lord, and shall be without condemnation on earth and in heaven.
  227. 36 And now, verily saith the Lord, that these things might be known among you, O inhabitants of the earth, I have sent forth mine aangel flying through the midst of heaven, having the everlasting bgospel, who hath appeared unto some and hath committed it unto man, who shall appear unto cmany that dwell on the earth.

For I, the Lord God, acreated all things, of which I have spoken, bspiritually, before they were cnaturally upon the face of the earth. For I, the Lord God, had not caused it to rain upon the face of the earth. And I, the Lord God, had dcreated all the children of men; and not yet a man to till the eground; for in fheaven gcreated I them; and there was not yet flesh upon the earth, neither in the water, neither in the air;

  233. 7 For I am the Lord thy God; I dwell in aheaven; the earth is my bfootstool; I stretch my hand over the sea, and it obeys my voice; I cause the wind and the fire to be my cchariot; I say to the mountains—Depart hence—and behold, they are taken away by a whirlwind, in an instant, suddenly.
  234. 21 I dwell in the midst of them all; I now, therefore, have come down unto thee to declare unto thee the aworks which my hands have made, wherein my bwisdom excelleth them all, for I crule in the heavens above, and in the earth beneath, in all wisdom and prudence, over all the intelligences thine eyes have seen from the beginning; I came down in the beginning in the midst of all the intelligences thou hast seen.
