1. Gen. 42: 21-22
     21 ¶ And they said one to another, We are verily ^aguilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear; therefore is this distress come upon us.
     22 And ^aReuben answered them, saying, Spake I not unto you, saying, Do not sin against the child; and ye would not hear? therefore, behold, also his ^bblood is required.
2. Deut. 1: 43
     43 So I spake unto you; and ye would not hear, but rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, and ^awent presumptuously up into the hill.
3. Deut. 3: 26
     26 But the Lord was ^awroth with me for your ^bsakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

He said that that ^bprophet was Christ; but the day had not yet come when “they who would not hear his voice should be ^ccut off from among the people,” but soon would come.
