"But I say unto you"

  1.   22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is aangry with his brother bwithout a cause shall be cin danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, dRaca, shall be ein danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

      28 But I say unto you, That whosoever alooketh on a bwoman to clust after her hath committed dadultery with her already in his heart.
          •  •  •
      32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall aput away his bwife, saving for the cause of cfornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
          •  •  •
      34 But I say unto you, aSwear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God’s bthrone:
          •  •  •
      39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not aevil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right bcheek, cturn to him the other also.
          •  •  •
      44 But I say unto you, aLove your benemies, cbless them that dcurse you, do egood to them that fhate you, and gpray for them which despitefully use you, and hpersecute you;
  2.   22 But I say unto you, It shall be more atolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
          •  •  •
      24 But I say unto you, That it shall be more tolerable for the land of aSodom in the day of judgment, than for thee.
  3.   6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the atemple.
          •  •  •
      36 But I say unto you, That every aidle bword that men shall cspeak, they shall give daccount thereof in the day of ejudgment.
  4.   12 But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they alisted. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
  5.   29 But I say unto you, I will not adrink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I bdrink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.
  6.   13 But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they alisted, as it is written of bhim.
  7.   27 ¶ But I say unto you which hear, aLove your enemies, do good to them which hate you,
  8.   12 But I say unto you, that it shall be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.
  9.   34 But behold, I say unto you, the kingdom of God is not filthy, and there cannot any unclean thing enter into the kingdom of God; wherefore there must needs be a place of afilthiness prepared for that which is filthy.
  10.   9 But behold, I say unto you that ye must apray always, and not faint; that ye must not perform any thing unto the Lord save in the first place ye shall bpray unto the Father in the cname of Christ, that he will dconsecrate thy performance unto thee, that thy performance may be for the ewelfare of thy soul.
  11.   16 And even if it were possible that little achildren could sin they could not be saved; but I say unto you they are bblessed; for behold, as in Adam, or by nature, they fall, even so the blood of Christ catoneth for their sins.
  12.   18 But I say unto you, O man, whosoever doeth this the same hath great cause to repent; and except he repenteth of that which he hath done he perisheth forever, and hath no interest in the kingdom of God.
  13.   27 And now ye have said that salvation cometh by the law of Moses. I say unto you that it is expedient that ye should akeep the law of Moses as yet; but I say unto you, that the time shall come when it shall bno more be expedient to keep the law of Moses.

      31 But behold, I say unto you, that all these things were atypes of things to come.
  14.   18 But behold, I say unto you that if ye persist in your wickedness that your days shall not be aprolonged in the land, for the bLamanites shall be sent upon you; and if ye repent not they shall come in a time when you know not, and ye shall be visited with cutter destruction; and it shall be according to the fierce danger of the Lord.
  15.   2 And Alma said unto them: Behold, ye have said that ye acould not bworship your God because ye are cast out of your synagogues. But behold, I say unto you, if ye suppose that ye cannot worship God, ye do greatly err, and ye ought to search the cscriptures; if ye suppose that they have taught you this, ye do not understand them.
  16.   6 Now ye may suppose that this is afoolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by bsmall and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise.
  17.   23 Behold ye say that I have agreed with a man that he should murder Seezoram, our chief judge. But behold, I say unto you, that this is because I have testified unto you that ye might know concerning this thing; yea, even for a witness unto you, that I did know of the wickedness and abominations which are among you.

      44 But behold I say unto you, love your aenemies, bless them that curse you, do bgood to them that hate you, and cpray for them who despitefully use you and persecute you;
  19.   19 But, verily, I say unto you that the Father hath commanded me, and I tell it unto you, that ye were aseparated from among them because of their iniquity; therefore it is because of their iniquity that they know not of you.
  20.   8 But, behold, I say unto you, that you must astudy it out in your bmind; then you must cask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your dbosom shall eburn within you; therefore, you shall ffeel that it is right.
  21.   14 But, behold, I say unto you that before this great aday shall come the bsun shall be cdarkened, and the moon shall be turned into blood, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and there shall be greater dsigns in heaven above and in the earth beneath;

      42 But, behold, I say unto you that I, the Lord God, gave unto Adam and unto his seed, that they should not adie as to the temporal death, until I, the Lord God, should send forth bangels to declare unto them crepentance and dredemption, through faith on the name of mine eOnly Begotten Son.
          •  •  •
      46 But behold, I say unto you, that little achildren are bredeemed from the foundation of the world through mine Only Begotten;
  22.   21 But, verily I say unto you that in time ye shall have no aking nor ruler, for I will be your king and watch over you.
          •  •  •
      23 But, verily I say unto you, ateach one another according to the office wherewith I have appointed you;
  23.   19 But, verily I say unto you, that adesolation shall come upon this generation as a thief in the night, and this people shall be destroyed and bscattered among all nations.
          •  •  •
      63 Ye hear of awars in foreign lands; but, behold, I say unto you, they are nigh, even at your bdoors, and not many years hence ye shall hear of wars in your own lands.
  24.   3 But verily I say unto you, that it is not needful for this whole company of mine elders to be moving swiftly upon the waters, whilst the inhabitants on either side are perishing in unbelief.
  25.   7 Nevertheless, he has sinned; but verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, aforgive sins unto those who bconfess their sins before me and ask forgiveness, who have not csinned unto ddeath.
  26.   2 Nevertheless, there are those among you who have sinned exceedingly; yea, even aall of you have sinned; but verily I say unto you, beware from henceforth, and brefrain from sin, lest sore judgments fall upon your heads.
  27.   36 But verily I say unto you, that I, the Lord, will contend with aZion, and plead with her strong ones, and bchasten her until she overcomes and is cclean before me.
  28.   41 But verily I say unto you, my servant Frederick G. Williams, you have continued under this condemnation;
  29.   5 But verily I say unto you, that I have decreed a decree which my people shall arealize, inasmuch as they hearken from this very hour unto the bcounsel which I, the Lord their God, shall give unto them.

      11 But verily I say unto you, I have decreed that your brethren which have been scattered shall return to the alands of their inheritances, and shall bbuild up the waste places of Zion.
          •  •  •
      20 But I say unto you: Mine aangels shall go up before you, and also my bpresence, and in time ye shall cpossess the goodly land.
          •  •  •
      34 But verily I say unto you, a commandment I give unto you, that ye shall not go up unto the land of Zion until you have obtained a hundred of the strength of my house, to go up with you unto the land of Zion.
  30.   57 But, verily I say unto you, I have appointed unto you to be stewards over mine house, even stewards indeed.
  31.   130 David Patten I have ataken unto myself; behold, his bpriesthood no man ctaketh from him; but, verily I say unto you, another may be appointed unto the same calling.
