He said unto them

  1.   56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath aprospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
  2.   5 And he said unto them, Know ye aLaban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
      6 And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.
  3.   6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
  4.   7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

      12 And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
  5.   24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.

      27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the awagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father brevived:
  6.   8 And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the Lord your God: but who are they that shall go?

      10 And he said unto them, Let the Lord be so with you, aas I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for bevil is before you.
  7.   23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy asabbath unto the Lord: bbake that which ye will bake to day, and cseethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
  8.   27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and aslay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
  9.   10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, aHear now, ye rebels; must bwe fetch you water out of this rock?
  10.   8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the Lord shall speak unto me: and the aprinces of Moab abode with Balaam.
  11.   2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their ainheritance, as he hath said unto them.
  12.   2 And he said unto them, I am an ahundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the Lord hath said unto me, Thou shalt not bgo over this Jordan.
  13.   46 And he said unto them, Set your ahearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your bchildren to observe to do, all the words of this law.
  14.   14 Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none ainheritance; the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

      33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any ainheritance: the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.
  15.   28 And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the Lord hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
  16.   17 And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
  17.   2 And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abi-ezer?
  18.   14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

      18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
  19.   11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are arulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
  20.   4 And he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.
  21.   23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
  22.   5 And he said unto them, The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
  23.   5 And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.

      9 And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?
  24.   5 ¶ And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?

      7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
  25.   18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
  26.   11 ¶ Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.
  27.   5 And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the people departed.

      9 And he said unto them, What advice give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us?
  28.   3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the Lord hath said of the sons of aDavid.
  29.   10 Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send aportions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this bday is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye csorry; for the joy of the Lord is your dstrength.
  30.   6 And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.
  31.   7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
  32.   9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the aLord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

      12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
  33.   7 ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his abaptism, he said unto them, O bgeneration of vipers, who hath cwarned you to flee from the wrath to dcome?
  34.   32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
  35.   12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

      24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they alaughed him to scorn.
  36.   3 But he said unto them, Have ye not aread what bDavid did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

      11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
  37.   28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
  38.   8 aWhich when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
  39.   11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.
  40.   27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
  41.   10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath awrought a good work upon me.
  42.   38 And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may apreach there also: for therefore came I forth.
  43.   8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

      25 And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him?

      27 And he said unto them, The asabbath was made for man, and not man for the bsabbath:

      11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the amystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in bparables:

      13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

      21 ¶ And he said unto them, Is a acandle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

      24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: aand unto you that hear shall more be bgiven.

      40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so afearful? how is it that ye have no bfaith?
  45.   10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

      31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a adesert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no bleisure so much as to eat.
  46.   9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

      14 ¶ And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:
  47.   21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

      34 ¶ And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him adeny himself, and take up his cross, and bfollow me.
  48.   1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

      29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and afasting.

      36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

  52.   15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and apreach the bgospel to every ccreature.
  53.   49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? awist ye not that I must be about my bFather’s business?
  54.   13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed ayou.
      14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any afalsely; and be bcontent with your cwages.
  55.   23 And he said unto them, Ye will surely say unto me this proverb, Physician, heal thyself: whatsoever we have heard done in aCapernaum, bdo also here in thy country.

      43 And he said unto them, I must apreach the kingdom of God to other cities also: for therefore am I bsent.
  56.   22 But when Jesus aperceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?

      34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the abridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?
  57.   5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the asabbath.
  58.   22 ¶ Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

      25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the awinds and water, and they obey him.
  59.   3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

      13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

      20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The aChrist of God.

      23 ¶ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his across daily, and bfollow me.
  60.   18 And he said unto them, I beheld aSatan as lightning fall from heaven.
  61.   2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our aFather which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy bname. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.

      5 aAnd he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
  62.   15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of acovetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
  63.   23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there afew that be saved? And he said unto them,

      32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be aperfected.
  64.   15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which ajustify yourselves before men; but God bknoweth your chearts: for that which is highly esteemed among dmen is eabomination in the sight of God.
  65.   14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the apriests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

      37 aAnd they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
  66.   29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,
  67.   24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.

      32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
  68.   25 And he said unto them, Render therefore unto aCaesar the things which be Caesar’s, and unto God the things which be God’s.

      41 And he said unto them, How say they that Christ is David’s ason?
  69.   10 And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

      15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:

      25 And he said unto them, The akings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

      35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without apurse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

      38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.

      40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into atemptation.

      67 Art thou the aChrist? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

      70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
  70.   22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found ano cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.

      41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and awondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

      44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be afulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
  72.   22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.
  73.   32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.
  74.   61 When Jesus aknew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this boffend you?
  75.   23 And he said unto them, Ye are from abeneath; I am from above: ye are of this bworld; I am not of this world.
  76.   15 Then again the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. He said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and do see.

  79.   25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the aprint of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
  80.   6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
  81.   7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the aseasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
  82.   28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man acommon or bunclean.
  83.   2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
      3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto aJohn’s baptism.
  84.   18 And when they were come to him, he said unto them, Ye know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,
  85.   17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
  86.   6 And now, these are the words which king Benjamin desired of them; and therefore he said unto them: Ye have spoken the words that I desired; and the covenant which ye have made is a righteous covenant.
  87.   9 And he said unto them: Behold, I am aLimhi, the son of Noah, who was the son of Zeniff, who came up out of the bland of Zarahemla to inherit this land, which was the land of their fathers, who was made a cking by the dvoice of the people.

      27 And because he said unto them that Christ was the aGod, the Father of all things, and said that he should take upon him the bimage of man, and it should be the cimage after which man was created in the beginning; or in other words, he said that man was created after the image of dGod, and that God should come down among the children of men, and take upon him flesh and blood, and go forth upon the face of the earth—
  88.   29 And again he said unto them: If ye teach the alaw of Moses why do ye not keep it? Why do ye set your hearts upon briches? Why do ye commit whoredoms and cspend your strength with harlots, yea, and cause this people to commit sin, that the Lord has cause to send me to prophesy against this people, yea, even a great evil against this people?
  89.   25 And it came to pass that after Abinadi had made an end of these sayings that he said unto them: Have ye ataught this people that they should observe to do all these things for to keep these commandments?
  90.   8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are adesirous to come into the bfold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;

      29 And this he said unto them, having been commanded of God; and they did awalk uprightly before God, imparting to one another both temporally and spiritually according to their needs and their wants.
  91.   24 And it came to pass that the king was pacified towards his people; and he said unto them: Let us go forth to meet my people, without arms; and I swear unto you with an aoath that my people shall not slay thy people.
  92.   7 But he said unto them: Behold, it is not expedient that we should have a king; for thus saith the Lord: Ye shall anot esteem one flesh above another, or one man shall not think himself above another; therefore I say unto you it is not expedient that ye should have a king.
  93.   17 Now they knew not that Amulek could aknow of their designs. But it came to pass as they began to question him, he bperceived their thoughts, and he said unto them: O ye wicked and perverse cgeneration, ye lawyers and hypocrites, for ye are laying the foundations of the devil; for ye are laying dtraps and snares to catch the holy ones of God.
  94.   4 And now, when the king heard these words, he said unto them: Now I know that it is the Great Spirit; and he has come down at this time to preserve your lives, that I might not aslay you as I did your brethren. Now this is the Great Spirit of whom our fathers have spoken.
  95.   10 For he said unto them: What ye shall ado unto me shall be a type of things to come.
  96.   37 Now Moroni seeing their confusion, he said unto them: If ye will bring forth your weapons of war and deliver them up, behold we will forbear shedding your blood.
  97.   5 And he said unto them: Behold, I, Samuel, a Lamanite, do speak the words of the Lord which he doth put into my heart; and behold he hath put it into my heart to say unto this people that the asword of justice hangeth over this people; and four hundred years pass not away save the sword of justice falleth upon this people.
  98.   2 And behold, he said unto them: Behold, I give unto you a sign; for afive years more cometh, and behold, then cometh the Son of God to redeem all those who shall believe on his name.
  99.   15 Yea, he said unto them: As the Lord liveth, except ye repent of all your iniquities, and cry unto the Lord, ye will in nowise be adelivered out of the hands of those Gadianton robbers.
  100.   22 And again the Lord called aothers, and said unto them likewise; and he gave unto them power to baptize. And he said unto them: On this wise shall ye baptize; and there shall be bno disputations among you.
     
  101.   3 And he said unto them: Marvel not that I said unto you that old things had passed away, and that all things had become anew.
  102.   1 Behold, now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he looked round about again on the multitude, and he said unto them: Behold, my atime is at hand.

      6 And he said unto them: Behold, my bowels are filled with acompassion towards you.
          •  •  •
      20 And they arose from the earth, and he said unto them: Blessed are ye because of your faith. And anow behold, my joy is full.
  103.   8 And he said unto them: He that eateth this bread eateth of amy body to his soul; and he that drinketh of this wine drinketh of my blood to his soul; and his soul shall never hunger nor thirst, but shall be filled.

      10 And it came to pass that when they had all given glory unto Jesus, he said unto them: Behold now I finish the commandment which the Father hath commanded me concerning this people, who are a remnant of the house of Israel.
  104.   6 And now it came to pass that when Jesus had said these words he said unto them again, after he had expounded all the scriptures unto them which they had received, he said unto them: Behold, other scriptures I would that ye should write, that ye have not.

      9 Verily I say unto you, I commanded my servant aSamuel, the Lamanite, that he should testify unto this people, that at the day that the Father should glorify his name in me that there were bmany csaints who should darise from the dead, and should appear unto many, and should minister unto them. And he said unto them: Was it not so?
  105.   3 And he said unto them: Blessed are ye because ye desired this thing of me; therefore, after that ye are aseventy and two years old ye shall come unto me in my bkingdom; and with me ye shall find crest.

      6 And he said unto them: Behold, I aknow your thoughts, and ye have desired the thing which bJohn, my beloved, who was with me in my ministry, before that I was lifted up by the Jews, desired of me.
  106.   24 But Jared said unto his brother: Suffer them that they may have a king. And therefore he said unto them: Choose ye out from among our sons a king, even whom ye will.
  107.   41 And he said unto them: I came out from the land of aCainan, the land of my fathers, a land of brighteousness unto this day. And my father ctaught me in all the ways of God.

      48 And he said unto them: Because that Adam afell, we are; and by his fall came bdeath; and we are made partakers of misery and woe.
