  1. 6 Then his master shall bring him aunto the bjudges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his cear through with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.
  2. 13 Thou shalt afear the Lord thy God, and bserve him, and shalt cswear by his name.
  3. 13 ¶ And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to alove the Lord your God, and to bserve him with all your heart and with all your soul,
  4. 4 Ye shall awalk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
  5. 5 But take adiligent heed to do the bcommandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to clove the Lord your God, and to dwalk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to eserve him with all your fheart and with all your soul.
  6. 14 ¶ Now therefore afear the Lord, and serve him in bsincerity and in truth: and put away the cgods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord.

22 And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the Lord, to aserve him. And they said, We are witnesses.
  7. 28 And Gaal the son of Ebed said, Who is Abimelech, and who is Shechem, that we should serve him? is not he the son of Jerubbaal? and Zebul his officer? serve the men of aHamor the father of Shechem: for why should we serve him?
    • • •
38 Then said Zebul unto him, Where is now thy mouth, wherewith thou saidst, Who is Abimelech, that we should serve him? is not this the people that thou hast despised? go out, I pray now, and fight with them.
  8. 3 ¶ And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do areturn unto the Lord with all your hearts, then bput away the strange cgods and dAshtaroth from among you, and prepare your ehearts unto the Lord, and fserve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.
  9. 14 If ye will fear the Lord, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not arebel against the commandment of the Lord, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the Lord your God:
    • • •
24 Only afear the Lord, and bserve him in truth with all your heart: for cconsider how great things he hath done for you.
  10. 18 ¶ And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, aAhab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
  11. 9 ¶ And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a aperfect heart and with a willing mind: for the Lord bsearcheth all hearts, and cunderstandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou dseek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.
  12. 11 My sons, be not now negligent: for the Lord hath achosen you to stand before him, to serve him, and that ye should minister unto him, and burn incense.
  13. 15 What is the Almighty, that we should serve him? and what profit should we have, if we pray unto him?
  14. 11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their adays in prosperity, and their years in bpleasures.
  15. 30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.
  16. 11 Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
  17. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;
  18. 6 And now have I agiven all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the bbeasts of the field have I given him also to serve him.
7 And all anations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the very time of his land come: and then many nations and great kings shall bserve themselves of him.
    • • •
11 But the nations that bring their neck under the ayoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, those will I let remain still in their own land, saith the Lord; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12 ¶ I spake also to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of aBabylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
  19. 14 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a ayoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve bNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the cbeasts of the field also.
  20. 14 And there was given him adominion, and glory, and a bkingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an ceverlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
  21. 9 For then will I turn to the people a pure alanguage, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve him with one bconsent.
  22. 74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without afear,
  23. 26 If any man serve me, let him afollow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.
  24. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his atemple: and he that bsitteth on the throne shall cdwell among them.
  25. 3 And there shall be no more acurse: but the bthrone of God and of the cLamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
  26. 7 Wherefore, this aland is consecrated unto him whom he shall bring. And if it so be that they shall serve him according to the commandments which he hath given, it shall be a land of bliberty unto them; wherefore, they shall never be brought down into captivity; if so, it shall be because of iniquity; for if iniquity shall abound ccursed shall be the land for their sakes, but unto the righteous it shall be blessed forever.
  27. 21 I say unto you that if ye should aserve him who has created you from the beginning, and is bpreserving you from day to day, by lending you cbreath, that ye may live and move and do according to your own dwill, and even supporting you from one moment to another—I say, if ye should serve him with all your ewhole souls yet ye would be funprofitable servants.
  28. 33 But if ye will aturn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in him, and serve him with all bdiligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage.
  29. 10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being abaptized in the bname of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a ccovenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?
    • • •
13 And when he had said these words, the aSpirit of the Lord was upon him, and he said: Helam, I baptize thee, having bauthority from the Almighty God, as a testimony that ye have entered into a ccovenant to serve him until you are dead as to the mortal body; and may the Spirit of the Lord be poured out upon you; and may he grant unto you eternal life, through the redemption of Christ, whom he has prepared from the dfoundation of the world.
  30. 31 Yea, they did mourn for their departure, for they knew not whither they had fled. Now they would have gladly joined with them, for they themselves had entered into a acovenant with God to serve him and keep his commandments.
32 And now since the coming of Ammon, king Limhi had also entered into a covenant with God, and also many of his people, to serve him and keep his commandments.
  31. 19 And king Lamoni would not suffer that Ammon should serve him, or be his aservant.
  32. 9 Now if a man desired to serve God, it was his privilege; or rather, if he believed in God it was his privilege to serve him; but if he did not believe in him there was no law to punish him.
  33. 8 And he had sworn in his wrath unto the brother of Jared, that whoso should possess this land of promise, from that time henceforth and forever, should aserve him, the true and only God, or they should be bswept off when the fulness of his wrath should come upon them.
  34. 2 For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether; for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and that after the waters had areceded from off the face of this bland it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the Lord; wherefore the Lord would have that all men should cserve him who dwell upon the face thereof;
  35. 3 And none were received unto baptism save they atook upon them the name of Christ, having a determination to serve him to the end.
  36. 13 But behold, that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do agood continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and benticeth to do cgood, and to love God, and to serve him, is dinspired of God.
  37. 2 Therefore, O ye that embark in the aservice of God, see that ye bserve him with all your heart, might, mind and strength, that ye may stand cblameless before God at the last day.
  38. 19 And gave unto them commandments that they should alove and bserve him, the only cliving and true dGod, and that he should be the only being whom they should worship.
    • • •
37 And again, by way of commandment to the church concerning the manner of baptism—All those who ahumble themselves before God, and desire to be baptized, and come forth with broken hearts and bcontrite spirits, and witness before the church that they have truly repented of all their sins, and are willing to take upon them the cname of Jesus Christ, having a ddetermination to serve him to the end, and truly manifest by their eworks that they have received of the fSpirit of Christ unto the gremission of their sins, shall be received by baptism into his church.
  39. 26 For what man among you having twelve sons, and is no respecter of them, and they serve him obediently, and he saith unto the one: Be thou clothed in robes and sit thou here; and to the other: Be thou clothed in rags and sit thou there—and looketh upon his sons and saith I am ajust?
  40. 5 Wherefore, I give unto them a commandment, saying thus: Thou shalt alove the Lord thy God with all thy bheart, with all thy might, mind, and strength; and in the name of Jesus Christ thou shalt cserve him.
