"Be sober"

  1. 13 aFor whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
  2. 6 Therefore let us not asleep, as do others; but let us bwatch and be csober.
    • • •
    8 But let us, who are of the day, be asober, putting on the bbreastplate of cfaith and love; and for an helmet, the dhope of salvation.
  3. 2 A bishop then must be ablameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, bsober, of good behaviour, given to chospitality, apt to dteach;
    • • •
    11 aEven so must their bwives be cgrave, not dslanderers, esober, ffaithful in all things.
  4. 8 But a lover of ahospitality, a lover of bgood men, sober, just, holy, ctemperate;
  5. 2 That the aaged men be bsober, grave, ctemperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.
    • • •
    4 That they may teach the young awomen to be sober, to blove their husbands, to love their children,
    • • •
    6 Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded.
    • • •
    12 Teaching us that, denying aungodliness and bworldly clusts, we should live dsoberly, erighteously, and godly, in this present world;
  6. 13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be asober, and hope bto the end for the cgrace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
  7. 7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and awatch unto prayer.
  8. 8 Be asober, be bvigilant; because your adversary the cdevil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
  9. 47 And now, my son, see that ye take acare of these sacred things, yea, see that ye blook to God and live. Go unto this people and declare the word, and be sober. My son, farewell.
  10. 15 And may the Lord bless your soul, and receive you at the last day into his kingdom, to sit down in peace. Now go, my son, and teach the word unto this people. Be asober. My son, farewell.
  11. 19 Admonish him in his faults, and also areceive admonition of him. bBe patient; be sober; be temperate; have patience, faith, hope and charity.
  12. 35 Be asober. Keep all my commandments. Even so. Amen.
  13. 38 Gird up your loins and be awatchful and be sober, looking forth for the coming of the Son of Man, for he cometh in an hour you think not.
  14. 6 Now I give no more unto you at this time. aGird up your loins and be sober. Even so. Amen.
