   38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.

   1 A Soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

3. 1 Ne. 16: 38
   38 Now, he says that the Lord has talked with him, and also that angels have ministered unto him.    19 For the kingdom of the devil must shake, and they which belong to it must needs be stirred up unto repentance, or the devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish;
   20 For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good.

    30 Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things should be done away.
