"Unto them" (1)

  1.   28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be afruitful, and bmultiply, and creplenish the dearth, and subdue it: and have edominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
  2.   1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
  3.   1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, aBe fruitful, and bmultiply, and creplenish the earth.
  4.   1 Now these are the agenerations of the bsons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
  5.   6 And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him,
          •  •  •
      18 And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord:
  6.   56 And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the Lord hath aprospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.
  7.   27 And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye ahate me, and have sent me away from you?
  8.   4 And Jacob said unto them, My brethren, whence be ye? And they said, Of aHaran are we.
      5 And he said unto them, Know ye aLaban the son of Nahor? And they said, We know him.
      6 And he said unto them, Is he well? And they said, He is well: and, behold, Rachel his daughter cometh with the sheep.
  9.   5 And said unto them, I see your father’s countenance, that it is not toward me as before; but the God of my father hath been with me.
  10.   14 aAnd they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is buncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:
          •  •  •
      23 Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us.
  11.   6 And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed:
          •  •  •
      13 And Israel said unto Joseph, Do not thy brethren feed the flock in Shechem? come, and I will send thee unto them. And he said to him, Here am I.
          •  •  •
      18 And when they saw him afar off, even before he came near unto them, they aconspired against him to slay him.
          •  •  •
      22 And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again.
  12.   14 That she called unto the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought in an Hebrew unto us to mock us; he came in unto me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice:
  13.   6 And Joseph came in unto them in the morning, and looked upon them, and, behold, they were sad.
          •  •  •
      8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a adream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not binterpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.
  14.   7 And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food.

      9 And Joseph remembered the adreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
          •  •  •
      12 And he said unto them, Nay, but to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.
          •  •  •
      14 And Joseph said unto them, That is it that I spake unto you, saying, Ye are spies:
          •  •  •
      18 And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do, and live; for I afear God:
          •  •  •
      23 And they knew not that Joseph understood them; for he spake unto them by an interpreter.
          •  •  •
      25 ¶ Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man’s amoney into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.
          •  •  •
      29 ¶ And they came unto Jacob their father unto the land of Canaan, and told him all that befell unto them; saying,
          •  •  •
      36 And Jacob their father said unto them, Me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take aBenjamin away: all these things are against me.
  15.   2 And it came to pass, when they had eaten up the corn which they had brought out of Egypt, their father said unto them, Go again, buy us a little food.

      11 And their father Israel said unto them, If it must be so now, do this; take of the best fruits of the land in your vessels, and carry down the man a present, a little balm, and a little honey, spices, and myrrh, nuts, and almonds:
          •  •  •
      23 And he said, Peace be to you, fear not: your God, and the God of your father, hath given you treasure in your sacks: I had your money. And he brought Simeon out unto them.
          •  •  •
      34 And he took and sent amesses unto them from before him: but bBenjamin’s mess was five times so much as any of theirs. And they drank, and were merry with him.
  16.   4 And when they were gone out of the city, and not yet far off, Joseph said unto his steward, Up, follow after the men; and when thou dost overtake them, say unto them, Wherefore have ye rewarded evil for good?
          •  •  •
      6 ¶ And he overtook them, and he spake unto them these same words.
          •  •  •
      15 And Joseph said unto them, What deed is this that ye have done? wot ye not that such a man as I can certainly divine?
  17.   24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way.
          •  •  •
      27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the awagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father brevived:
  18.   28 ¶ All these are the atwelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and bblessed them; every one according to his cblessing he blessed them.
      29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my apeople: bbury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
  19.   19 And Joseph said unto them, Fear not: for am I in the place of God?
          •  •  •
      21 Now therefore fear ye not: I will anourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.
  20.   18 And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?
      19 And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are adelivered ere the midwives come in unto them.
  21.   25 And God looked upon the children of Israel, aand God had respect unto them.
  22.   13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? awhat shall I say unto them?

      16 Go, and gather the aelders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely bvisited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:
  23.   4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, alet the people from their works? get you unto your bburdens.

      21 And they said unto them, The Lord look upon you, and judge; because ye have made aour savour to be babhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.
  24.   13 aAnd he hardened Pharaoh’s heart, that he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
          •  •  •
      22 And the magicians of Egypt did so with their enchantments: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, neither did he hearken unto them; as the Lord had said.
  25.   15 But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he ahardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
          •  •  •
      19 Then the magicians said unto Pharaoh, This is the afinger of God: and Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
  26.   12 aAnd the Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had spoken unto Moses.

      27 ¶ And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the Lord is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
  27.   8 And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the Lord your God: but who are they that shall go?

      10 And he said unto them, Let the Lord be so with you, aas I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for bevil is before you.
  28.   21 ¶ Then Moses called for all the elders of Israel, and said unto them, aDraw out and take you a blamb according to your cfamilies, and kill the dpassover.
          •  •  •
      36 And the Lord gave the people afavour in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they blent unto them such things as they required. And they cspoiled the Egyptians.
  29.   22 And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
          •  •  •
      29 But the children of Israel walked upon adry land in the midst of the sea; and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.
  30.   3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the aflesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with bhunger.

      12 I have heard the amurmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the Lord your God.
          •  •  •
      15 And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, aIt is bmanna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the cbread which the Lord hath given you to eat.
          •  •  •
      23 And he said unto them, This is that which the Lord hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy asabbath unto the Lord: bbake that which ye will bake to day, and cseethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning.
  31.   2 Wherefore the people adid chide with Moses, and said, Give us water that we may drink. And Moses said unto them, Why chide ye with me? wherefore do ye btempt the Lord?
  32.   25 So Moses went down unto the people, and spake unto them.
  33.   14 And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them.
  34.   1 And this is the thing that thou shalt do unto them to ahallow them, to minister unto me in the bpriest’s office: Take one young cbullock, and two rams without blemish,
  35.   2 And Aaron said unto them, Break off the agolden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

      13 Remember aAbraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou bswarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will cmultiply your dseed as the stars of heaven, and all this eland that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.
          •  •  •
      24 And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.
          •  •  •
      27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and aslay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.
  36.   31 And Moses called unto them; and Aaron and all the arulers of the congregation returned unto him: and Moses talked with them.
  37.   1 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, These are the words which the Lord hath commanded, that ye should do them.
  38.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the Lord, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.
  39.   17 It shall not be baken with aleaven. I have given it unto them for their portion of my offerings made by fire; it is most holy, as is the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.
  40.   4 And Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of aUzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said unto them, Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.

      11 And that ye may ateach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.
  41.   1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them,
  42.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running aissue out of his flesh, because of his issue he is unclean.
  43.   2 Speak unto Aaron, and unto his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them; This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded, saying,
          •  •  •
      7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a awhoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.
      8 ¶ And thou shalt say unto them, Whatsoever man there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers which sojourn among you, that aoffereth a burnt offering or sacrifice,
  44.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the Lord your God.
  45.   2 Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be aholy: for I the Lord your God am holy.
  46.   1 And the Lord said unto Moses, Speak unto the priests the sons of Aaron, and say unto them, There shall none be defiled for the adead bamong his people:
  47.   3 Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed among your generations, that goeth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the Lord, ahaving his buncleanness upon him, that soul shall be ccut off from my presence: I am the Lord.

      18 Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will aoffer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his bfreewill offerings, which they will offer unto the Lord for a burnt offering;
  48.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.

      10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the afirstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:
  49.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a asabbath unto the Lord.

      51 If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
  50.   41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be ahumbled, and they then accept of the bpunishment of their iniquity:
     
  51.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When a man shall make a singular vow, the persons shall be for the Lord by thy estimation.
  52.   19 But thus do unto them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach unto the most holy things. Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them every one to his service and to his burden:
          •  •  •
      27 At the appointment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burdens, and in all their service: and ye shall appoint unto them in charge all their burdens.
  53.   12 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man’s wife go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
  54.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When either man or woman shall separate themselves to vow a avow of a bNazarite, to separate themselves unto the Lord:
          •  •  •
      23 Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying, On this wise ye shall abless the children of Israel, saying unto them,
  55.   9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.
  56.   7 And thus shalt thou do unto them, to acleanse them: Sprinkle water of bpurifying upon them, and let them shave all their flesh, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean.

      20 And Moses, and Aaron, and all the congregation of the children of Israel, did to the Levites according unto all that the Lord commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did the children of Israel unto them.
          •  •  •
      22 And after that went the Levites in to do their service in the tabernacle of the congregation before Aaron, and before his sons: as the Lord had commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so did they unto them.
  57.   8 And Moses said unto them, Stand still, and I will ahear what the Lord will command concerning you.
  58.   17 ¶ And Moses sent them to spy out the land of Canaan, and said unto them, Get you up athis way southward, and go up into the mountain:
          •  •  •
      26 ¶ And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
  59.   2 And all the children of Israel amurmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

      16 Because the Lord was not able to bring this people into the land which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness.
          •  •  •
      28 Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:
  60.   2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land of your habitations, which I give unto you,
          •  •  •
      18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you,
  61.   3 And they gathered themselves together against aMoses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the Lord is bamong them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the Lord?

      9 Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the aservice of the tabernacle of the Lord, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?
          •  •  •
      30 But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the apit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord.
  62.   24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer as an heave offering unto the Lord, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no ainheritance.

      26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the Lord, even a atenth part of the tithe.
          •  •  •
      30 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have heaved the best thereof from it, then it shall be counted unto the Levites as the increase of the threshingfloor, and as the increase of the winepress.
  63.   21 And it shall be a perpetual statute unto them, that he that sprinkleth the water of separation shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until even.
  64.   6 And Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly unto the door of the atabernacle of the congregation, and they fell upon their faces: and the glory of the Lord appeared unto them.

      10 And Moses and Aaron gathered the congregation together before the rock, and he said unto them, aHear now, ye rebels; must bwe fetch you water out of this rock?
  65.   8 And he said unto them, Lodge here this night, and I will bring you word again, as the Lord shall speak unto me: and the aprinces of Moab abode with Balaam.
  66.   7 The daughters of Zelophehad speak right: thou shalt surely give them a possession of an ainheritance among their father’s brethren; and thou shalt cause the inheritance of their father to pass unto them.
  67.   2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, My offering, and my bread for my sacrifices made by fire, for a sweet savour unto me, shall ye observe to offer unto me in their due season.
      3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the aoffering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord; two lambs bof the first year without cspot day by day, for a continual dburnt offering.
  68.   15 And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
  69.   20 ¶ And Moses said unto them, If ye will ado this thing, if ye will go armed before the Lord to war,
          •  •  •
      29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the Lord, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:
          •  •  •
      33 And Moses agave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the land, with the cities thereof bin the coasts, even the cities of the country round about.
  70.   51 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye are passed over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
          •  •  •
      56 Moreover it shall come to pass, that I shall do unto you, as I thought to do unto them.
  71.   2 Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of aCanaan; (this is the bland that shall fall unto you for an cinheritance, even the land of Canaan dwith the coasts thereof:)
  72.   10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come over Jordan into the land of Canaan;
  73.   3 And it came to pass in the afortieth year, in the eleventh month, on the first day of the month, that Moses spake unto the children of Israel, according unto all that the Lord had given him in commandment unto them;

      8 Behold, I have set the land before you: go in and apossess the bland which the Lord sware unto your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give unto them and to their seed after them.
          •  •  •
      39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no aknowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.
          •  •  •
      42 And the Lord said unto me, Say unto them, Go not up, neither fight; for I am not among you; lest ye be smitten before your enemies.
  74.   12 The aHorims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau bsucceeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the Lord gave unto them.

      14 And the aspace in which we came from Kadesh-barnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the bmen of war cwere wasted out from among the host, as the Lord sware unto them.
  75.   7 For what anation is there so great, who hath God so bnigh unto them, as the Lord our God is in all things that we call upon him for?

      31 (For the Lord thy God is a amerciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the bcovenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
  76.   1 And Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the astatutes and bjudgments which I speak in your ears this day, that ye may learn them, and keep, and do them.

      9 Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting athe iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth bgeneration of them that chate me,
  77.   2 And when the Lord thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly adestroy them; thou shalt bmake no ccovenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
  78.   11 And the Lord said unto me, Arise, take thy ajourney before the people, that they may go in and possess the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them.
  79.   9 And that ye may aprolong your days in the land, which the Lord sware unto your bfathers to give unto them and to their seed, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
  80.   2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the Lord is their ainheritance, as he hath said unto them.

      18 I will raise them up a aProphet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my bwords in his mouth; and he shall cspeak unto them all that I shall command him.
  81.   3 And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of them;
  82.   18 ¶ If a man have a astubborn and rebellious son, which will not bobey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them:
  83.   2 ¶ And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the Lord did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his land;

      26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given unto them:
  84.   2 And he said unto them, I am an ahundred and twenty years old this day; I can no more go out and come in: also the Lord hath said unto me, Thou shalt not bgo over this Jordan.
          •  •  •
      4 And the Lord shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the land of them, whom he adestroyed.
      5 And the Lord shall give them up before your face, that ye may do unto them according unto all the commandments which I have commanded you.
          •  •  •
      23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a acharge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.
  85.   46 And he said unto them, Set your ahearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your bchildren to observe to do, all the words of this law.
  86.   2 And he said, The Lord came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he ashined forth from mount bParan, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them.
  87.   8 ¶ And before they were laid down, she came up unto them upon the roof;

      16 And she said unto them, Get you to the mountain, lest the pursuers meet you; and hide yourselves there three days, until the pursuers be returned: and afterward may ye go your way.
  88.   5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:

      12 And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them:
  89.   6 ¶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the aark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of the Lord.
  90.   2 And Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside aBeth-aven, on the east side of Beth-el, and spake unto them, saying, Go up and view the country. And the men went up and viewed Ai.
  91.   8 And they said unto Joshua, We are thy servants. And Joshua said unto them, Who are ye? and from whence come ye?

      11 Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take avictuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.
          •  •  •
      15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation asware unto them.
          •  •  •
      18 And the children of Israel smote them not, because the princes of the congregation had sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel. And all the congregation amurmured against the princes.
      19 But all the princes said unto all the congregation, We have sworn unto them by the Lord God of Israel: now therefore we may not touch them.
      20 This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we sware unto them.
      21 And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be ahewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them.
      22 ¶ And Joshua called for them, and he spake unto them, saying, Wherefore have ye abeguiled us, saying, We are very far from you; when ye dwell among us?

      26 And so did he unto them, and delivered them out of the hand of the children of Israel, that they slew them not.
  92.   9 Joshua therefore came unto them suddenly, and went up from Gilgal all night.

      25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the Lord do to all your enemies against whom ye fight.
  93.   9 And Joshua did unto them as the Lord bade him: he houghed their horses, and burnt their chariots with fire.
  94.   14 Only unto the tribe of Levi he gave none ainheritance; the sacrifices of the Lord God of Israel made by fire are their inheritance, as he said unto them.

      33 But unto the tribe of Levi Moses gave not any ainheritance: the Lord God of Israel was their inheritance, as he said unto them.
  95.   4 And when he that doth flee unto one of those cities shall stand at the entering of the agate of the city, and shall declare his cause in the ears of the belders of that city, they shall take him into the city unto them, and give him a place, that he may dwell among them.
  96.   2 And they spake unto them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, The Lord commanded by the hand of Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs thereof for our cattle.
  97.   2 And said unto them, Ye have kept all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, and have obeyed my voice in all that I commanded you:

      8 And he spake unto them, saying, Return with much riches unto your tents, and with very much cattle, with silver, and with gold, and with brass, and with iron, and with very much raiment: divide the spoil of your enemies with your brethren.
  98.   2 And Joshua called for all Israel, and for their elders, and for their heads, and for their judges, and for their officers, and said unto them, I am old and stricken in age:

      7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their agods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them:

      12 Else if ye do in any wise go back, and cleave unto the remnant of these nations, even these that remain among you, and shall make amarriages with them, and go in unto them, and they to you:
  99.   33 ¶ Neither did Naphtali drive out the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh, nor the inhabitants of Beth-anath; but he dwelt among the Canaanites, the inhabitants of the land: nevertheless the inhabitants of Beth-shemesh and of Beth-anath became tributaries unto them.
  100.   12 And they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the Lord to aanger.

      15 Whithersoever they went out, the ahand of the Lord was against them for evil, as the Lord had said, and as the Lord had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.

      17 And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a awhoring after other bgods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned cquickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the Lord; but they did not so.

      19 And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their afathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their bstubborn way.
     
  101.   28 And he said unto them, Follow after me: for the Lord hath delivered your enemies the Moabites into your hand. And they went down after him, and took the fords of Jordan toward Moab, and suffered not a man to pass over.
  102.   8 That the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth out of the house of bondage;
  103.   17 And he said unto them, Look on me, and do likewise: and, behold, when I come to the outside of the camp, it shall be that, as I do, so shall ye do.
  104.   2 And he said unto them, What have I done now in comparison of you? Is not the gleaning of the grapes of Ephraim better than the vintage of Abi-ezer?

      8 ¶ And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

      23 And Gideon said unto them, I will not arule over you, neither shall my son rule over you: the Lord shall brule over you.
      24 ¶ And Gideon said unto them, I would desire a request of you, that ye would give me every man the earrings of his prey. (For they had golden earrings, because they were Ishmaelites.)
  105.   7 ¶ And when they told it to Jotham, he went and stood in the top of mount aGerizim, and lifted up his voice, and cried, and said unto them, Hearken unto me, ye men of Shechem, that God may hearken unto you.

      9 But the olive tree said unto them, Should I leave my fatness, wherewith by me they honour aGod and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?

      11 But the fig tree said unto them, Should I forsake my sweetness, and my good fruit, and go to be promoted over the trees?

      13 And the vine said unto them, Should I leave my awine, which cheereth God and man, and go to be promoted over the trees?
  106.   2 And Jephthah said unto them, I and my people were at great astrife with the children of Ammon; and when I called you, ye delivered me not out of their hands.
  107.   12 ¶ And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty asheets and thirty change of garments:

      14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

      18 And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.
      19 ¶ And the Spirit of the Lord came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
  108.   7 ¶ And Samson said unto them, aThough ye have done this, yet will I be avenged of you, and after that I will cease.

      11 Then three thousand men of Judah went to the top of the rock Etam, and said to Samson, Knowest thou not that the Philistines are arulers over us? what is this that thou hast done unto us? And he said unto them, As they did unto me, so have I done unto them.
      12 And they said unto him, We are come down to bind thee, that we may deliver thee into the hand of the Philistines. And Samson said unto them, Swear unto me, that ye will not fall upon me yourselves.
  109.   1 In those days there was no aking in Israel: and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought them an inheritance to dwell in; for unto that day all their inheritance had not fallen unto them among the tribes of Israel.
      2 And the children of Dan sent of their family five men from their coasts, men of valour, from Zorah, and from Eshtaol, to spy out the land, and to search it; and they said unto them, Go, search the land: who when they came to mount Ephraim, to the house of Micah, they lodged there.

      4 And he said unto them, Thus and thus dealeth Micah with me, and hath hired me, and I am his priest.

      6 And the priest said unto them, Go in peace: before the Lord is your way wherein ye go.

      8 And they came unto their brethren to Zorah and Eshtaol: and their brethren said unto them, What say ye?
          •  •  •
      18 And these went into Micah’s house, and fetched the carved image, the ephod, and the ateraphim, and the molten image. Then said the priest unto them, What do ye?
  110.   23 And the man, the master of the house, went out unto them, and said unto them, Nay, my brethren, nay, I pray you, do not so wickedly; seeing that this man is come into mine house, do not this folly.

      25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her forth unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go.
  111.   13 And the whole congregation sent some to speak to the children of Benjamin that were in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them.

      22 And it shall be, when their fathers or their brethren come unto us to complain, that we will say unto them, Be favourable unto them for our sakes: because we reserved not to each man his wife in the war: for ye did not give unto them at this time, that ye should be aguilty.
  112.   20 And she said unto them, Call me not aNaomi, call me bMara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.
  113.   23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.
  114.   8 They sent therefore and gathered all the lords of the Philistines unto them, and said, What shall we do with the ark of the God of Israel? And they answered, Let the ark of the God of Israel be carried about unto aGath. And they carried the ark of the God of Israel about thither.
  115.   9 Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet aprotest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the bking that shall creign over them.
  116.   11 ¶ And as they went up the hill to the city, they found young maidens going out to draw water, and said unto them, Is the seer here?
  117.   5 And he said unto them, The Lord is witness against you, and his anointed is witness this day, that ye have not found ought in my hand. And they answered, He is witness.
  118.   8 Then said Jonathan, Behold, we will pass over unto these men, and we will discover ourselves unto them.
      9 If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them.

      34 And Saul said, Disperse yourselves among the people, and say unto them, Bring me hither every man his ox, and every man his sheep, and slay them here, and eat; and sin not against the Lord in eating with the ablood. And all the people brought every man his ox with him that night, and slew them there.
  119.   8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.
  120.   7 And now I have heard that thou hast shearers: now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel.
  121.   5 ¶ And David sent messengers unto the men of Jabesh-gilead, and said unto them, Blessed be ye of the Lord, that ye have shewed this kindness unto your lord, even unto Saul, and have buried him.
  122.   9 ¶ And David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said unto them, As the Lord liveth, who hath redeemed my soul out of all adversity,
  123.   20 And when Absalom’s servants came to the woman to the house, they said, Where is Ahimaaz and Jonathan? And the woman said unto them, They be gone over the brook of water. And when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to Jerusalem.
  124.   4 And the king said unto them, What seemeth you best I will do. And the king stood by the gate side, and all the people came out by hundreds and by thousands.
  125.   3 ¶ And David came to his house at Jerusalem; and the king took the ten women his aconcubines, whom he had left to keep the house, and put them in ward, and fed them, but went not in unto them. So they were shut up unto the day of their death, living in widowhood.
  126.   2 And the king called the Gibeonites, and said unto them; (now the aGibeonites were not of the children of Israel, but of the remnant of the Amorites; and the children of Israel had sworn unto them: and Saul sought to slay them in his zeal to the children of Israel and Judah.)
  127.   33 The king also said unto them, Take with you the servants of your lord, and cause Solomon my son to ride upon mine own mule, and bring him down to aGihon:
  128.   52 That thine eyes may be open unto the supplication of thy servant, and unto the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call for unto thee.
  129.   5 And he said unto them, Depart yet for three days, then come again to me. And the people departed.

      9 And he said unto them, What counsel give ye that we may answer this people, who have spoken to me, saying, Make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

      16 ¶ So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel adeparted unto their tents.

      28 Whereupon the king took counsel, and amade two bcalves of gold, and said unto them, It is too much for you to go up to Jerusalem: behold thy cgods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.
  130.   12 And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.
  131.   40 And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.
  132.   11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them, and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
  133.   6 Then the king of Israel gathered the aprophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the Lord shall deliver it into the hand of the king.
  134.   2 And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of aBaal-zebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.
      3 But the angel of the Lord said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baal-zebub the god of Ekron?

      5 ¶ And when the messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?

      7 And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?

      12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
  135.   18 And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not?
  136.   11 Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel?

      19 ¶ And Elisha said unto them, This is not the way, neither is this the city: follow me, and I will bring you to the man whom ye seek. But he led them to Samaria.
  137.   11 ¶ Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said unto him, Is all well? wherefore came this mad fellow to thee? And he said unto them, Ye know the man, and his communication.

      20 And the watchman told, saying, He came even unto them, and cometh not again: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he driveth furiously.
  138.   18 ¶ And Jehu gathered all the people together, and said unto them, aAhab served Baal a little; but Jehu shall serve him much.
  139.   15 But Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of the hundreds, the officers of the host, and said unto them, Have her forth without the ranges: and him that followeth her kill with the sword. For the priest had said, Let her not be slain in the house of the Lord.
  140.   7 Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other priests, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house.
  141.   23 And the Lord was gracious unto them, and had acompassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his bcovenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet.
  142.   12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall anot do this thing.
  143.   19 And Rab-shakeh said unto them, Speak ye now to Hezekiah, Thus saith the great king, the king of Assyria, What confidence is this wherein thou trustest?

      27 But Rab-shakeh said unto them, Hath my master sent me to thy master, and to thee, to speak these words? hath he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own piss with you?
  144.   6 ¶ And aIsaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the Lord, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.
  145.   13 And Hezekiah hearkened unto them, and shewed them all the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his atreasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
  146.   15 ¶ And she said unto them, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Tell the man that sent you to me,
  147.   24 And Gedaliah sware to them, and to their men, and said unto them, Fear not to be the servants of the Chaldees: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon; and it shall be well with you.
  148.   67 And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs,
  149.   17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if ye be come to betray me to mine enemies, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
  150.   12 And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the Lord God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
     
  151.   31 And to offer all burnt asacrifices unto the Lord in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set bfeasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the Lord:
  152.   5 And he said unto them, Come again unto me after three days. And the people departed.

      9 And he said unto them, What advice give ye that we may return answer to this people, which have spoken to me, saying, Ease somewhat the yoke that thy father did put upon us?
      10 And the young men that were brought up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou answer the people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it somewhat lighter for us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father’s loins.

      16 ¶ And when all Israel saw that the king would not hearken unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? and we have none inheritance in the son of Jesse: every man to your tents, O Israel: and now, David, see to thine own house. So all Israel went to their tents.
  153.   5 ¶ Then came Shemaiah the prophet to Rehoboam, and to the princes of Judah, that were gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
  154.   5 Therefore the king of Israel gathered together of prophets four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the king’s hand.
  155.   3 And all the congregation made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And he said unto them, Behold, the king’s son shall reign, as the Lord hath said of the sons of aDavid.

      14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth aof the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the Lord.
  156.   17 Now after the death of Jehoiada came the princes of Judah, and made obeisance to the king. Then the king hearkened unto them.

      20 And the aSpirit of God came upon Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said unto them, Thus saith God, Why transgress ye the commandments of the Lord, that ye cannot bprosper? because ye have forsaken the Lord, he hath also forsaken you.
  157.   14 ¶ Now it came to pass, after that Amaziah was come from the slaughter of the Edomites, that he brought the gods of the children of Seir, and set them up to be his gods, and bowed down himself before them, and burned incense unto them.
  158.   9 But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to Samaria, and said unto them, Behold, because the Lord God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven.

      13 And said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither: for whereas we have aoffended against the Lord already, ye intend to add more to our sins and to our trespass: for our trespass is great, and there is fierce wrath against Israel.
  159.   5 And said unto them, Hear me, ye Levites, asanctify now yourselves, and sanctify the house of the Lord God of your fathers, and carry forth the bfilthiness out of the holy place.
  160.   4 And they brake down the altars of Baalim in his presence; and the aimages, that were on high above them, he cut down; and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images, he brake in pieces, and made dust of them, and strowed it upon the graves of them that had sacrificed unto them.
  161.   63 And the Tirshatha said unto them, that they should not eat of the most aholy things, till there stood up a priest with bUrim and with Thummim.
  162.   7 They gave money also unto the masons, and to the carpenters; and meat, and drink, and oil, unto them of Zidon, and to them of Tyre, to bring acedar trees from Lebanon to the sea of Joppa, according to the grant that they had of bCyrus king of Persia.
  163.   2 Then they came to Zerubbabel, and to the chief of the fathers, and said unto them, Let us build with you: for we seek your God, as ye do; and we do sacrifice unto him since the days of Esar-haddon king of Assur, which abrought us up hither.
      3 But Zerubbabel, and Jeshua, and the rest of the chief of the fathers of Israel, said unto them, Ye have nothing to do with us to build an house unto our God; but we ourselves together will build unto the Lord God of Israel, as aking Cyrus the king of Persia hath commanded us.

      20 There have been mighty kings also over Jerusalem, which have aruled over all countries beyond the river; and toll, tribute, and custom, was paid unto them.
  164.   1 Then the aprophets, bHaggai the prophet, and cZechariah the son of Iddo, prophesied unto the Jews that were in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, even unto them.

      3 ¶ At the same time came to them Tatnai, governor aon this side the river, and Shethar-boznai, and their companions, and said thus unto them, Who hath commanded you to build this house, and to make up this wall?
      4 Then said we unto them after this manner, What are the names of the men that make this building?

      9 Then asked we those elders, and said unto them thus, Who commanded you to build this house, and to make up these walls?
  165.   21 And the children of Israel, which were come again out of captivity, and all such as had aseparated themselves unto them from the bfilthiness of the cheathen of the land, to seek the Lord God of Israel, did eat,
      22 And kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with joy: for the Lord had made them joyful, and turned the heart of the king of Assyria unto them, ato strengthen their hands in the work of the house of God, the God of Israel.
  166.   25 And weighed unto them the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, even the offering of the house of our God, which the king, and his counsellors, and his lords, and all Israel there present, had offered:

      28 And I said unto them, Ye are holy unto the Lord; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the Lord God of your fathers.
  167.   10 And Ezra the priest stood up, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have taken strange awives, to increase the trespass of Israel.
  168.   17 ¶ Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth awaste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach.

      20 Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem.
  169.   4 And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Urijah, the son of Koz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabeel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.
      5 And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their Lord.

      7 And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, unto the throne of the governor aon this side the river.

      9 And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of the half part of Jerusalem.
      10 And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabniah.
  170.   7 Then I consulted with myself, and I rebuked the nobles, and the rulers, and said unto them, Ye exact ausury, every one of his brother. And I set a great assembly against them.
      8 And I said unto them, We after our ability have redeemed our brethren the Jews, which were sold unto the heathen; and will ye even sell your brethren? or shall they be sold unto us? Then held they their peace, and found nothing to answer.
  171.   3 And I sent messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?

      17 ¶ Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters unto Tobiah, and the letters of Tobiah came unto them.
  172.   3 And I said unto them, Let not the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun be hot; and while they stand by, let them shut the doors, and bar them: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one to be over against his house.

      12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great amirth, because they had bunderstood the words that were declared unto them.
  174.   14 And madest known unto them thy holy asabbath, and commandedst them precepts, statutes, and laws, by the hand of Moses thy servant:
  175.   17 Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

      21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.

  177.   22 As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
      23 And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;

  178.   4 Their young ones are in good liking, they grow up with corn; they go forth, and return not unto them.

  206.   7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
  207.   13 Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the aearth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.
  208.   5 Even unto them will I give in mine ahouse and within my walls a place and a name better than of bsons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

  212.   5 I will get me unto the great men, and will speak unto them; for they have known the way of the Lord, and the judgment of their God: but these have altogether broken the ayoke, and burst the bonds.

      13 Then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will fill all the inhabitants of this land, even the kings that sit upon David’s throne, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, with adrunkenness.
  219.   13 ¶ Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the asword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.
      14 Then the Lord said unto me, The aprophets prophesy blies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false cvision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the ddeceit of their heart.

  221.   11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the Lord, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;
  222.   20 And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the Lord, ye kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
  223.   8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, aturn from their evil, I will brepent of the evil that I thought to do unto them.
  224.   11 And shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Even so will I break this people and this city, as one breaketh a potter’s vessel, that cannot be made whole again: and they shall bury them in Tophet, till there be no place to bury.
  225.   3 ¶ Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah:
  226.   12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring evil upon them, even the year of their avisitation, saith the Lord.

  228.   27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be adrunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
      28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to adrink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.

  229.   2 Thus saith the Lord; Stand in the court of the Lord’s house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the Lord’s house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; adiminish not a word:
      3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may arepent me of the evil, which I purpose to do unto them because of the evil of their doings.
      4 And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord; If ye will not ahearken to me, to bwalk in my claw, which I have set before you,
  230.   17 Hearken not unto them; serve the king of aBabylon, and live: wherefore should this city be laid bwaste?
  231.   19 Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the Lord, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the Lord.
  232.   9 But they shall serve the Lord their God, and aDavid their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
  233.   32 Not according to the acovenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
  234.   6 Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.

      9 ¶ And it shall be to me a name of joy, a apraise and an honour before all the nations of the earth, which shall hear all the good that I do unto them: and they shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and for all the prosperity that I procure unto it.
  235.   8 ¶ This is the word that came unto Jeremiah from the Lord, after that the king Zedekiah had made a covenant with all the people which were at Jerusalem, to proclaim aliberty unto them;
  236.   2 Go unto the house of the aRechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the Lord, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

      5 And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.

      17 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not aheard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.
  237.   3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

      13 Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.
      14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

      32 ¶ Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the ascribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were badded besides unto them many like words.
  238.   4 Therefore the aprinces said unto the king, We beseech thee, let this man be put to death: for thus he weakeneth the hands of the men of war that remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words unto them: for this man seeketh not the bwelfare of this people, but the hurt.

  239.   9 And Gedaliah the son of Ahikam the son of Shaphan sware unto them and to their men, saying, Fear not to serve the Chaldeans: dwell in the land, and serve the king of Babylon, and it shall be well with you.
  240.   6 And Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went forth from Mizpah to meet them, weeping all along as he went: and it came to pass, as he met them, he said unto them, Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam.
  241.   4 Then Jeremiah the prophet said unto them, I have heard you; behold, I will apray unto the Lord your God according to your words; and it shall come to pass, that whatsoever thing the Lord shall answer you, I will declare it unto you; I will keep nothing back from you.

  245.   22 Let all their wickedness come before thee; and do unto them, as thou hast done unto me for all my transgressions: for my sighs are many, and my heart is faint.
  246.   25 The Lord is agood unto them that bwait for him, to the soul that cseeketh him.

  250.   10 And they shall know that I am the Lord, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.
  1.   27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall aknow that I am the Lord.
  2.   7 And he said unto them, Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain: go ye forth. And they went forth, and slew in the city.
  3.   13 As for the wheels, it was cried unto them in my hearing, O wheel.
  4.   25 Then I spake unto them of the captivity all the things that the Lord had shewed me.
  5.   10 Say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; This burden concerneth the prince in Jerusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
      11 Say, I am your asign: like as I have bdone, so shall it be done unto them: they shall remove and go into captivity.

  6.   2 Son of man, prophesy against the aprophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the Lord;

      11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.
  7.   4 Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the astumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the Lord will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;
  8.   20 Moreover thou hast taken thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hast borne unto me, and these hast thou asacrificed unto them to be devoured. Is this of thy whoredoms a small matter,

      36 Thus saith the Lord God; Because thy afilthiness was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy whoredoms with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thy babominations, and by the blood of thy children, which thou didst give unto them;
      37 Behold, therefore I will gather all thy lovers, with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast ahated; I will even gather them round about bagainst thee, and will discover thy cnakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

  10.   23 And it shall be unto them as a false divination in their sight, to them that have sworn oaths: but he will call to remembrance the iniquity, that they may be ataken.
  11.   28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered amorter, seeing vanity, and bdivining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.
  12.   16 And as soon as she saw them with her eyes, she doted upon them, and sent messengers unto them into Chaldea.

      27 Thus will I make thy lewdness to cease from thee, and thy whoredom brought from the land of Egypt: so that thou shalt not lift up thine eyes unto them, nor remember Egypt any more.

  15.   2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their awatchman:

      11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no apleasure in the bdeath of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye cdie, O house of Israel?
          •  •  •
      25 Wherefore say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Ye eat with the ablood, and lift up your eyes toward your idols, and shed blood: and shall ye possess the land?
          •  •  •
      27 Say thou thus unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; As I live, surely they that are in the wastes shall fall by the asword, and him that is in the open field will I give to the beasts to be devoured, and they that be in the forts and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.
          •  •  •
      32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: for they hear thy words, but they do them not.
  16.   2 Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel, prophesy, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God unto the shepherds; Woe be to the ashepherds of Israel that do feed themselves! should not the shepherds bfeed the flocks?

      20 ¶ Therefore thus saith the Lord God unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle.
  17.   4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.

      12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, O my people, I will open your agraves, and cause you to bcome up out of your graves, and cbring you into the dland of Israel.
          •  •  •
      19 Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the stick of aJoseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.
          •  •  •
      21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the aheathen, whither they be gone, and will bgather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:
  18.   7 Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.
  19.   24 aAccording to their buncleanness and according to their ctransgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
  20.   11 Yet they shall be ministers in my asanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house, and bministering to the house: they shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister unto them.
      12 Because they ministered unto them before their idols, and caused the house of Israel to fall into iniquity; therefore have I lifted up mine hand against them, saith the Lord God, and they shall bear their iniquity.

      28 And ait shall be unto them for an binheritance: I am their inheritance: and ye shall give them no possession in Israel: I am their possession.
  21.   12 And this oblation of the land that is offered shall be unto them a thing most holy by the border of the Levites.
          •  •  •
      18 And the residue in length over against the oblation of the holy portion shall be ten thousand eastward, and ten thousand westward: and it shall be over against the oblation of the holy portion; and the increase thereof shall be for food unto them that serve the city.
  22.   3 And the king said unto them, I have dreamed a dream, and my spirit was troubled to know the dream.
  23.   14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?
  24.   2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel was afirst: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.
  25.   10 ¶ Yet the anumber of the children of Israel shall be as the bsand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, Ye are the csons of the dliving God.
  26.   12 ¶ My people ask acounsel at their stocks, and their staff declareth unto them: for the bspirit of cwhoredoms hath caused them to err, and they have gone a whoring from under their God.
  27.   13 Woe unto them! for they have fled from me: adestruction unto them! because they have transgressed against me: though I bhave credeemed them, yet they have spoken lies against me.
  28.   4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing unto him: their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners; all that eat thereof shall be polluted: for their bread for their soul shall not come into the house of the Lord.
  29.   4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of alove: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.
  30.   7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:
  31.   9 And he said unto them, I am an Hebrew; and I fear the aLord, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land.

      12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
  32.   10 ¶ And God asaw their works, that they bturned from their evil way; cand God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it dnot.
  33.   10 And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.
  34.   7 Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee, and awake that shall vex thee, and thou shalt be for abooties unto them?
  35.   11 The Lord will be aterrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall bworship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the cheathen.
  36.   3 Therefore say thou unto them, Thus saith the Lord of hosts; aTurn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
  37.   12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price athirty pieces of bsilver.
  38.   7 ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his abaptism, he said unto them, O bgeneration of vipers, who hath cwarned you to flee from the wrath to dcome?
  39.   19 And he saith unto them, aFollow me, and I will make you bfishers of men.
  40.   8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father aknoweth what things ye have bneed of, before ye ask him.
  41.   23 And then will I profess unto them, I never aknew you: bdepart from me, ye that work ciniquity.
  42.   4 And Jesus saith unto him, See thou tell no man; but go thy way, shew thyself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

      15 And he atouched her hand, and the fever left her: and she arose, and ministered unto them.

      26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye afearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and brebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

      32 And he said unto them, Go. And when they were come out, they went into the herd of swine: and, behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea, and perished in the waters.
  43.   12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

      15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, aand then shall they bfast.
          •  •  •
      18 ¶ While he spake these things unto them, behold, there came a certain aruler, and worshipped him, saying, My daughter is even now dead: but come and lay thy bhand upon her, and she shall clive.
          •  •  •
      24 He said unto them, Give place: for the maid is not dead, but sleepeth. And they alaughed him to scorn.
          •  •  •
      28 And when he was come into the house, the ablind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, bBelieve ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
  44.   4 Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those athings which ye do hear and see:
  45.   3 But he said unto them, Have ye not aread what bDavid did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;

      11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
          •  •  •
      25 And Jesus knew their athoughts, and said unto them, Every bkingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
          •  •  •
      39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a asign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
  46.   3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
          •  •  •
      10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in aparables?
      11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the amysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
          •  •  •
      24 ¶ Another aparable put he forth unto them, saying, The bkingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good cseed in his field:
          •  •  •
      28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?
          •  •  •
      31 ¶ Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a agrain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:
          •  •  •
      33 ¶ Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto aleaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
      34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

      37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good aseed is the Son of man;
          •  •  •
      51 Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, Yea, Lord.
      52 Then said he unto them, Therefore every ascribe bwhich is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
          •  •  •
      57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without ahonour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
  47.   16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

      25 And ain the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
          •  •  •
      27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good acheer; it is I; be not afraid.
  48.   3 But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your atradition?

      10 ¶ And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:

      34 And Jesus saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.
  49.   2 He aanswered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.

      6 ¶ Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the aleaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.

      8 aWhich when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?

      15 He saith unto them, But whom say aye that I am?
  50.   3 And, behold, there appeared unto them aMoses and bElias talking with him.

      11 And Jesus answered and said unto them, aElias truly shall first come, and brestore all things.

      13 Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
          •  •  •
      20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your aunbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have bfaith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this cmountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be dimpossible unto you.

      22 ¶ And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be abetrayed into the hands of men:
          •  •  •
      27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of amoney: that take, and bgive unto them for me and thee.
     
  51.   4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which amade them at the beginning made them male and female,

      8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the ahardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your bwives: but from the beginning it was not so.

      11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

      26 aBut Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are bpossible.
          •  •  •
      28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the aregeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, bjudging the twelve tribes of Israel.
  52.   4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

      6 And about the aeleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
      7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

      17 ¶ And Jesus going up to Jerusalem took the twelve disciples apart in the way, and said unto them,

      23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my aFather.
  53.   2 Saying unto them, Go into the village aover against you, and straightway ye shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose them, and bring them unto me.

      16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

      21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have afaith, and bdoubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this cmountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
          •  •  •
      24 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I also will ask you one thing, which if ye tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what aauthority I do these things.
          •  •  •
      27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said unto them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things.
          •  •  •
      31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
          •  •  •
      36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise.
      37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son.
          •  •  •
      42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The astone which the builders brejected, the same is become the head of the ccorner: this is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
  54.   1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

      20 And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription?
      21 They say unto him, Caesar’s. Then saith he unto them, aRender therefore unto bCaesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.

      29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the ascriptures, nor the bpower of God.
          •  •  •
      43 He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
  55.   2 And Jesus said unto them, aSee ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one bstone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

      4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man adeceive you.

      19 And awoe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
  56.   14 ¶ For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

  57.   10 When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath awrought a good work upon me.

      15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for athirty pieces of silver.

      31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be aoffended because of me this night: for it is written, I will bsmite the cshepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

      38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is aexceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and bwatch with me.
          •  •  •
      45 Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is abetrayed into the hands of sinners.

      71 And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.
  58.   17 Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

      21 The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.
      22 Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be acrucified.

      26 ¶ Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had ascourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

      65 Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

  61.   2 And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he apreached the word unto them.

      8 And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts?

  62.   4 And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the asabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they bheld their peace.

      9 And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

      13 And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?

      21 ¶ And he said unto them, Is a acandle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?

      24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: aand unto you that hear shall more be bgiven.

      33 And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were aable to hear it.
      34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
      35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.

      40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so afearful? how is it that ye have no bfaith?
  64.   39 And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this aado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.
  65.   4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

      10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place.

      31 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a adesert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no bleisure so much as to eat.

      38 He saith unto them, How many loaves have ye? go and see. And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

      48 And he saw them atoiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.

      50 For they all saw him, and were atroubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
      51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
  66.   6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people ahonoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

      9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

      14 ¶ And when he had called all the people unto him, he said unto them, Hearken unto me every one of you, and understand:

      17 And when Jesus knew it, he saith unto them, Why reason ye, because ye have no bread? perceive ye not yet, neither understand? ahave ye your heart yet bhardened?

      21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?

      27 ¶ And Jesus went out, and his disciples, into the towns of Caesarea Philippi: and by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Whom do men say that I am?

      29 And he saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Peter answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the aChrist.

      34 ¶ And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him adeny himself, and take up his cross, and bfollow me.
  68.   1 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.

      4 And there appeared unto them Elias with aMoses: and they were talking with Jesus.

      29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and afasting.

      31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The aSon of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall brise the third day.

      35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be afirst, the same shall be last of all, and bservant of all.
      36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,

      14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little achildren to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

      24 And the disciples were astonished at his words. But Jesus answereth again, and saith unto them, Children, how hard is it for them that atrust in briches to enter into the kingdom of God!
          •  •  •
      36 And he said unto them, What would ye that I should do for you?
          •  •  •
      38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the abaptism that I am baptized with?
      39 And they said unto him, We can. And Jesus said unto them, Ye shall indeed drink of the cup that I drink of; and with the baptism that I am baptized withal shall ye be baptized:

      42 But Jesus called them to him, and saith unto them, Ye know that they which are accounted to rule over the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and their great ones exercise authority upon them.
  70.   2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

      6 And they said unto them even as Jesus had commanded: and they let them go.

      17 And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

      22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have afaith in God.

      29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

      33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.
  71.   1 And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.

      4 And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.

      6 Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.

      15 Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why atempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.
      16 And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar’s.
      17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s. And they marvelled at him.

      24 And Jesus answering said unto them, aDo ye not therefore err, because ye know not the scriptures, neither the power of God?

      38 ¶ And he said unto them in his doctrine, Beware of the ascribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love bsalutations in the marketplaces,

      43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this apoor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:

      13 And he sendeth forth two of his adisciples, and saith unto them, Go ye into the city, and there shall meet you a man bearing a pitcher of water: follow him.

      16 And his disciples went forth, and came into the city, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

      20 And he answered and said unto them, It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish.

      24 And he said unto them, This is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many.

      27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the ashepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

      34 And saith unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death: tarry ye here, and watch.

      41 And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

      48 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Are ye come out, as against a thief, with swords and with staves to take me?
  73.   6 Now at that feast he areleased unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired.

      8 And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them.

      11 But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them.
      12 And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?

      14 Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
      15 ¶ And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.
  74.   6 And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted: Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is arisen; he is not here: behold the place where they laid him.

      31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

      36 ¶ And he spake also a parable unto them; No man putteth a piece of a new garment upon an old; if otherwise, then both the new maketh a rent, and the piece that was taken out of the new aagreeth not with the old.
  80.   2 And certain of the Pharisees said unto them, Why do ye that which is not lawful to do on the asabbath days?

      5 And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the asabbath.

      9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?

  81.   22 Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the apoor the gospel is preached.
  82.   21 And he answered and said unto them, My amother and my brethren are these which hear the word of God, and bdo it.
      22 ¶ Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

      25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the awinds and water, and they obey him.
  83.   3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece.

      11 And the people, when they knew it, followed him: and he received them, and spake unto them of the kingdom of God, and healed them that had need of healing.

      13 But he said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they said, We have no more but five loaves and two fishes; except we should go and buy meat for all this people.

      20 He said unto them, But whom say ye that I am? Peter answering said, The aChrist of God.

      48 And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my aname receiveth me: and whosoever shall breceive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be cgreat.
  84.   2 Therefore said he unto them, The aharvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

      9 And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The akingdom of God is come nigh unto you.

      18 And he said unto them, I beheld aSatan as lightning fall from heaven.

  86.   15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of acovetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

  87.   2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were asinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?

      25 ¶ And there went great multitudes with him: and he turned, and said unto them,

  90.   15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which ajustify yourselves before men; but God bknoweth your chearts: for that which is highly esteemed among dmen is eabomination in the sight of God.

      28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

      30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the adead, they will repent.
  91.   14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go shew yourselves unto the apriests. And it came to pass, that, as they went, they were cleansed.

      37 aAnd they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
  92.   1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought aalways to bpray, and not to cfaint;

      29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

      31 ¶ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are awritten by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
  93.   13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten apounds, and said unto them, bOccupy till I come.

      24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
          •  •  •
      32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.
      33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

      40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the astones would immediately cry out.

      46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the ahouse of prayer: but ye have made it a bden of thieves.

  96.   4 And he went his way, and acommuned with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

      25 And he said unto them, The akings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors.

      35 And he said unto them, When I sent you without apurse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
      36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.
          •  •  •
      38 And they said, Lord, behold, here are two swords. And he said unto them, It is enough.
          •  •  •
      40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into atemptation.
          •  •  •
      46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
          •  •  •
      67 Art thou the aChrist? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe:

      70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.
  97.   14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

  98.   5 And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

      17 And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

      38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do athoughts arise in your hearts?

      41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and awondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

      44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be afulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

      46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it abehoved Christ to suffer, and to brise from the dead the third day:
  99.   38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
      39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
  100.   7 Jesus saith unto them, Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.
      8 And he saith unto them, Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast. And they bare it.

      16 And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father’s house an house of merchandise.

      19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this atemple, and in three days I will braise it up.

      22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

      38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had asaid this, he went out again unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no bfault at all.
  115.   4 Pilate therefore went forth again, and saith unto them, Behold, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know that I find no afault in him.
      5 Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!
      6 When the chief priests therefore and officers saw him, they acried out, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Take ye him, and crucify him: for I find no bfault in him.

  116.   2 Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other adisciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the bLord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

      13 And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him.

      17 Jesus saith unto her, aTouch me not; for I am not yet bascended to my cFather: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my dFather, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
          •  •  •
      19 ¶ Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were aassembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and bstood in the midst, and saith unto them, cPeace be unto you.
      20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his ahands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they bsaw the Lord.

      22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
      23 Whose soever sins ye aremit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

      25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the aprint of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.
  117.   3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing.

      5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.
      6 And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.

      10 Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught.

      12 Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.
  118.   7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the aseasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
  119.   3 And there appeared unto them acloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

      14 ¶ But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:

      38 Then Peter asaid unto them, bRepent, and be cbaptized every one of you in the dname of Jesus Christ for the eremission of sins, and ye shall receive the fgift of the gHoly Ghost.

      41 ¶ Then they that gladly areceived his bword were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about cthree thousand souls.
  120.   5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

      11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the aporch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
  121.   8 Then Peter, filled with the aHoly Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,

      19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to ahearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.

      23 ¶ And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
  122.   35 And said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves what ye intend to do as touching these men.
  123.   2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
  124.   26 And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye awrong one to another?
  125.   5 Then Philip went down to the city of aSamaria, and preached Christ unto them.

      14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the aword of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
  126.   27 But Barnabas took him, and brought him to the apostles, and declared unto them how he had aseen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
  127.   8 And when he had declared all these things unto them, he sent them to Joppa.

      28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man acommon or bunclean.
  128.   4 But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,

      20 And after that he gave unto them judges about the space of four hundred and fifty years, until Samuel the prophet.
      21 And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years.
      22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own aheart, which shall fulfil all my will.
  131.   18 And with these sayings scarce restrained they the people, that they had not done sacrifice unto them.
  132.   7 And when there had been much adisputing, bPeter rose up, and said unto them, Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the cGentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the dgospel, and believe.

      20 But that we write unto them, that they aabstain from bpollutions of idols, and from cfornication, and from things strangled, and from dblood.
  133.   10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.

      37 But Paul said unto them, They have beaten us openly uncondemned, being aRomans, and have cast us into prison; and now do they thrust us out bprivily? nay verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
  134.   2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days areasoned with them out of the bscriptures,

      5 ¶ But the aJews which believed not, moved with envy, took unto them certain blewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set all the city on an cuproar, and dassaulted the house of Jason, and sought to bring them out to the people.

      18 Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoicks, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
  135.   2 And found a certain Jew named aAquila, born in Pontus, lately come from Italy, with his wife Priscilla; (because that Claudius had commanded all Jews to depart from Rome:) and came unto them.

      6 And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, he ashook his raiment, and said unto them, Your bblood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

      26 And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
  136.   2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
      3 And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto aJohn’s baptism.
  137.   6 And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of aunleavened bread, and came unto them to Troas in five days; where we abode seven days.
      7 And upon the afirst bday of the week, when the disciples came ctogether to dbreak ebread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

  138.   32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief acaptain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.

      40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and abeckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great bsilence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,
  139.   21 But do not thou yield unto them: for there lie in wait for him of them more than forty men, which have bound themselves with an aoath, that they will neither eat nor drink till they have killed him: and now are they ready, looking for a promise from thee.
  140.   11 For if I be an offender, or have committed any thing worthy of death, I refuse not to die: but if there be none of these things whereof these accuse me, no man may deliver me unto them. I appeal unto aCaesar.
  141.   20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
  142.   10 And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives.
  143.   17 And it came to pass, that after three days Paul called the chief of the Jews together: and when they were come together, he said unto them, Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people, or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans.
  144.   19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest ain them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
  145.   8 But unto them that are acontentious, and do not bobey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, cindignation and wrath,
  146.   2 Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the aoracles of God.
  147.   11 And he received the asign of bcircumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the cfather of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
  148.   26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the achildren of the living God.
  149.   20 But aEsaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that bsought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me.
  150.   9 And David saith, Let their table be made a asnare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a brecompence unto them:

  151.   27 It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their aspiritual things, their bduty is also to minister unto them in ccarnal things.

  154.   34 Let your awomen keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to bspeak; but cthey are commanded to be under dobedience, as also saith the law.
  155.   4 In whom the agod of this bworld hath cblinded the dminds of them which ebelieve not, lest the flight of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the gimage of hGod, should shine unto them.
  156.   19 To wit, that God was in Christ, areconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
  157.   13 Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and for your liberal distribution unto them, and unto all men;
  158.   2 And I went up by arevelation, and bcommunicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
  159.   8 Howbeit then, when ye knew not God, ye adid bservice unto them which by nature are no cgods.
  160.   10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do agood unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
  161.   9 And, ye amasters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your bMaster also is in heaven; neither is there crespect of persons with him.
  162.   8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a acrown of brighteousness, which the Lord, the righteous cjudge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
  163.   15 aUnto the pure all things are bpure: but unto them that are cdefiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their dmind and econscience is fdefiled.
  164.   13 Bring Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.
  165.   2 For unto us was the agospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with bfaith in them that heard it.
  166.   9 And being made aperfect, he became the bauthor of eternal csalvation unto all them that obey him;
  167.   28 So Christ was once aoffered to bbear the csins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he dappear the second time without sin unto salvation.
  168.   11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the apeaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are bexercised thereby.
  169.   16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye agive them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
  170.   7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be adisobedient, the stone which the builders bdisallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

      22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own avomit again; and the sow that was bwashed to her wallowing in the mire.
  172.   11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of aCain, and ran greedily after the error of bBalaam for reward, cand perished in the gainsaying of Core.
  173.   8 And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with asword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

      11 And awhite brobes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should crest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.
  174.   3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
  175.   12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
  176.   6 And I saw another aangel fly in the midst of heaven, having the beverlasting cgospel to dpreach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every enation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
  177.   4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and ajudgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and breigned with Christ a cthousand years.
