"By which"

  1. 18 And Isaac digged again the wells of water, which they had digged in the days of Abraham his father; for the Philistines had stopped them after the death of Abraham: and he called their anames after the names by which his father had called them.
  2. 3 And thou shalt say unto them, This is the aoffering made by fire which ye shall offer unto the Lord; two lambs bof the first year without cspot day by day, for a continual dburnt offering.
  3. 13 And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the aland which ye shall binherit by lot, which the Lord commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:
  4. 4 Yet there shall be a space between you and it, about two thousand cubits by measure: come not near unto it, that ye may know the away by which ye must go: for ye have not passed this way heretofore.
  5. 14 And they passed on and went their way; and the sun went down upon them when they were by aGibeah, which belongeth to bBenjamin.
  6. 4 ¶ And between the apassages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.
  7. 5 And the ameat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel, and his cupbearers, and his bascent by which he went up unto the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her.
  8. 13 For all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, by which they sinned, and by which they amade Israel to sin, in provoking the Lord God of Israel to anger with their vanities.
  9. 16 And they laid hands on her; and she went by the way by the which the ahorses came into the king’s house: and there was she slain.
  10. 28 Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
  11. 11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the Lord: and he brought the shadow ten degrees abackward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.
  12. 4 And the meat of his table, and the sitting of his servants, and the attendance of his ministers, and their apparel; his cupbearers also, and their apparel; and his ascent by which he went up into the house of the Lord; there was no more spirit in her.
  13. 29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
  14. 8 Behold, I will bring again the ashadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the bsun returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was gone down.
  15. 19 ¶ Thus said the Lord unto me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
  16. 35 ¶ Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the asun for a light by bday, and the cordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name:
  17. 2 In the avisions of God brought he me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high bmountain, by which was as the frame of a city on the south.
  18. 17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judaea, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
  19. 20 And it was told him by certain which said, Thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to see thee.
  20. 10 And they were not able to resist the awisdom and the spirit by which he spake.
  21. 15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by aone man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
  22. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? aGod forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
  23. 11 For it hath been declared unto me aof you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are bcontentions among you.
  24. 2 By which also ye are asaved, if ye bkeep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
  25. 11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called aUncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
  26. 16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
  27. 19 aFor the law made nothing bperfect, but the bringing in of a cbetter hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
  28. 10 By the which will we are asanctified through the boffering cof the dbody of Jesus Christ eonce for all.
  29. 4 By faith aAbel offered unto God a more excellent bsacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
    • • •
    7 By faith aNoah, being bwarned of God of things not seen as yet, cmoved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the drighteousness which is by faith.
  30. 7 Do not they blaspheme that worthy aname by the which ye are called?
  31. 19 By which also he went and apreached unto the bspirits in cprison;
  32. 19 And I beheld a arod of iron, and it extended along the bank of the river, and led to the tree by which I stood.
    20 And I also beheld a astrait and narrow path, which came along by the rod of iron, even to the tree by which I stood; and it also led by the head of the fountain, unto a large and spacious field, as if it had been a bworld.
    21 And I saw numberless concourses of people, many of whom were apressing forward, that they might obtain the bpath which led unto the tree by which I stood.
  33. 11 For thus spake the prophet: The Lord God surely shall avisit all the house of Israel at that day, some with his bvoice, because of their righteousness, unto their great joy and salvation, and others with the cthunderings and the lightnings of his power, by tempest, by fire, and by dsmoke, and evapor of fdarkness, and by the opening of the gearth, and by hmountains which shall be carried up.
  34. 13 O that ye would awake; awake from a deep asleep, yea, even from the sleep of bhell, and shake off the awful cchains by which ye are bound, which are the chains which bind the children of men, that they are carried away captive down to the eternal dgulf of misery and woe.
  35. 5 And now, the words which I shall read are they which Isaiah spake concerning all the house of Israel; wherefore, they may be alikened unto you, for ye are of the house of Israel. And there are many things which have been spoken by Isaiah which may be likened unto you, because ye are of the house of Israel.
  36. 9 And again, it showeth unto the children of men the straitness of the path, and the narrowness of the agate, by which they should enter, he having set the bexample before them.
    • • •
    17 Wherefore, do the things which I have told you I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and abaptism by water; and then cometh a bremission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost.
  37. 9 And it shall come to pass that whosoever doeth this shall be found at the right hand of God, for he shall know the name by which he is called; for he shall be called by the name of Christ.
    • • •
    12 I say unto you, I would that ye should remember to aretain the name written always in your hearts, that ye are not found on the left hand of God, but that ye hear and know the voice by which ye shall be called, and also, the name by which he shall call you.
    • • •
    14 And again, doth a man take an ass which belongeth to his neighbor, and keep him? I say unto you, Nay; he will not even suffer that he shall feed among his flocks, but will drive him away, and cast him out. I say unto you, that even so shall it be among you if ye know not the name by which ye are called.
  38. 17 But a seer can know of things which are past, and also of things which are to come, and by them shall all things be revealed, or, rather, shall secret things be made manifest, and hidden things shall come to light, and things which are not known shall be made known by them, and also things shall be made known by them which otherwise could not be known.
  39. 38 Behold, I say unto you, that the good ashepherd doth call you; yea, and in his own name he doth call you, which is the name of Christ; and if ye will not bhearken unto the voice of the cgood shepherd, to the dname by which ye are called, behold, ye are not the sheep of the good shepherd.
  40. 8 And Alma went and began to declare the word of God unto the church which was established in the valley of Gideon, according to the revelation of the truth of the word which had been spoken by his fathers, and according to the spirit of prophecy which was in him, according to the atestimony of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who should come to redeem his people from their sins, and the holy order by which he was called. And thus it is written. Amen.
  41. 4 And he began to teach the people in the land of Melek according to the aholy order of God, by which he had been called; and he began to teach the people throughout all the land of Melek.
  42. 24 And we see that adeath comes upon mankind, yea, the death which has been spoken of by Amulek, which is the temporal death; nevertheless there was a space granted unto bman in which he might repent; therefore this life became a cprobationary state; a time to dprepare to meet God; a time to prepare for that endless state which has been spoken of by us, which is after the resurrection of the dead.
  43. 2 Now awe shall say no more concerning their preaching, except that they preached the word, and the truth, according to the spirit of prophecy and revelation; and they preached after the bholy order of God by which they were called.
  44. 35 And it came to pass that the army which was sent by Moroni, which was led by a man whose name was Teancum, did meet the people of Morianton; and so stubborn were the people of Morianton, (being inspired by his wickedness and his aflattering words) that a battle commenced between them, in the which Teancum did bslay Morianton and defeat his army, and took them prisoners, and returned to the camp of Moroni. And thus ended the twenty and fourth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi.
  45. 10 And behold, now it came to pass that it was upon a tower, which was in the agarden of Nephi, which was by the highway which led to the chief market, which was in the city of Zarahemla; therefore, Nephi had bowed himself upon the tower which was in his garden, which tower was also near unto the garden gate by which led the highway.
  46. 9 Wherefore, he came to the hill Ephraim, and he did molten out of the hill, and made swords out of asteel for those whom he had drawn away with him; and after he had armed them with swords he returned to the city Nehor, and gave battle unto his brother Corihor, by which means he obtained the kingdom and restored it unto his father Kib.
  47. 11 Now the people of Akish were desirous for gain, even as Akish was desirous for apower; wherefore, the sons of Akish did offer them bmoney, by which means they drew away the more part of the people after them.
  48. 10 And after that he had established himself king he did ease the burden of the people, by which he did gain favor in the eyes of the people, and they did anoint him to be their king.
    • • •
    14 And his brother did rise up in rebellion against him, by which he did bring him into acaptivity; and he did remain in captivity all his days; and he begat sons and daughters in captivity, and in his old age he begat Levi; and he died.
    15 And it came to pass that Levi did serve in captivity after the death of his father, for the space of forty and two years. And he did make war against the king of the land, by which he did obtain unto himself the kingdom.
  49. 10 And it came to pass that Ahah, his son, did obtain the kingdom; and he did reign over the people all his days. And he did do all manner of iniquity in his days, by which he did cause the shedding of much blood; and few were his days.

    21 And that the Lord God would send or bring forth aanother people to possess the bland, by his power, after the manner by which he brought their fathers.
  50. 3 Wherefore, I would speak unto you that are of the achurch, that are the bpeaceable followers of Christ, and that have obtained a sufficient chope by which ye can enter into the drest of the Lord, from this time henceforth until ye shall rest with him in heaven.

    18 And now, my brethren, seeing that ye know the alight by which ye may judge, which light is the light of Christ, see that ye do not judge wrongfully; for with that same bjudgment which ye judge ye shall also be judged.
  51. 3 Now, behold, this is the spirit of revelation; behold, this is the spirit by which Moses abrought the children of Israel through the Red Sea on dry ground.
  52. 25 Wherefore, if they aknow not the bname by which they are called, they cannot have place in the ckingdom of my Father.
  53. 24 aKeep all the commandments and covenants by which ye are bound; and I will cause the heavens to bshake for your cgood, and dSatan shall tremble and eZion shall frejoice upon the hills and gflourish;
  54. 9 And thus ye shall become instructed in the law of my church, and be asanctified by that which ye have received, and ye shall bind yourselves to act in all holiness before me—
  55. 1 Behold, thus saith the Lord unto you, my servant William, yea, even the Lord of the whole aearth, thou art called and chosen; and after thou hast been bbaptized by water, which if you do with an eye single to my glory, you shall have a remission of your sins and a reception of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of chands;
  56. 7 Which truth shineth. This is the alight of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was bmade.
    8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
    9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;

    13 The alight which is in all things, which giveth blife to all things, which is the claw by which all things are governed, even the dpower of God who esitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.

    26 Wherefore, it shall be asanctified; yea, notwithstanding it shall bdie, it shall be cquickened again, and shall abide the power by which it is quickened, and the drighteous shall einherit it.

    28 They who are of a celestial aspirit shall receive the same bbody which was a natural body; even ye shall receive your bodies, and your cglory shall be that glory by which your bodies are dquickened.

    42 And again, verily I say unto you, he hath given a alaw unto all things, by which they move in their btimes and their seasons;
  57. 33 Things which have passed, and ahidden things which no man knew, things of the bearth, by which it was made, and the purpose and the end thereof—
  58. 97 Let my servant William Law also receive the keys by which he may ask and receive blessings; let him be ahumble before me, and be without bguile, and he shall receive of my Spirit, even the cComforter, which shall manifest unto him the truth of all things, and shall give him, in the very hour, what he shall say.
  59. 8 “By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in aprison;
  60. 27 Now, Pharaoh being of that lineage by which he could not have the right of aPriesthood, notwithstanding the Pharaohs would fain bclaim it from Noah, through Ham, therefore my father was led away by their idolatry;
