- 26 But behold, an awful death cometh upon the wicked; for they die as to things pertaining to things of righteousness; for they are unclean, and no unclean thing can inherit the kingdom of God; but they are cast out, and consigned to partake of the fruits of their labors or their works, which have been evil; and they drink the dregs of a bitter cup.
- 57 Wherefore teach it unto your children, that all men, everywhere, must repent, or they can in nowise inherit the kingdom of God, for no unclean thing can dwell there, or dwell in his presence; for, in the language of Adam, Man of Holiness is his name, and the name of his Only Begotten is the Son of Man, even Jesus Christ, a righteous Judge, who shall come in the meridian of time.

No unclean thing can dwell with God

Thanks for posting this is a helpful idea and I can tell it took time to put together.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of scripture is this from? Never heard of Alma, not the others.
ReplyDeleteThis includes scripture from the Bible (Old and New Testaments), as well as from The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, The Doctrine and Covenants, and The Pearl of Great Price, accepted as scripture by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
DeleteThe Book of Revelation, chapter 21, which describes John’s vision of heaven also uses a similar phrase, if you wish to add it to your collection:
ReplyDeleteverse 27: “Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life.”
