And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercyonme, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercyonme, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

And after I had traveled for the space of many hours in darkness, I began to pray unto the Lord that he would have mercyonme, according to the multitude of his tender mercies.

Now, as my mind caught hold upon this thought, I cried within my heart: O Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercyonme, who am in the gall of bitterness, and am encircled about by the everlasting chains of death.
