Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord, but to take counsel
from his hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and ingreatmercy, over all his works.

Oh, my soul, almost as it were, fleeth at the thought. Behold, he did not exercise his justice upon us, but in his greatmercy hath brought us over that everlasting gulf of death and misery, even to the salvation of our souls.

But behold, the Lord in his greatmercy
sent his angel to declare unto me that I must stop the work of
destruction among his people; yea, and I have seen an angel face to
face, and he spake with me, and his voice was as thunder, and it shook
the whole earth.
