  6.   17 Let us pass, I pray thee, through thy country: we will not pass through the fields, or through the vineyards, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king’s high way, we will not turn to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed thy borders.
  7.   26 And the angel of the Lord went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.

20 That his heart be not lifted up above his abrethren, and that he bturn not aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he, and his cchildren, in the midst of Israel.

  31.   4 And Ezra the scribe stood upon a apulpit of wood, which they had made for the purpose; and beside him stood Mattithiah, and Shema, and Anaiah, and Urijah, and Hilkiah, and Maaseiah, on his right hand; and on his left hand, Pedaiah, and Mishael, and Malchiah, and Hashum, and Hashbadana, Zechariah, and Meshullam.
  32.   9 On the left hand, where he doth work, but I cannot behold him: he hideth himself on the right hand, that I cannot see him:
  33.   16 Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand ariches and honour.
  34.   27 Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
  35.   2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.
  36.   6 His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.
  37.   3 His left hand should be under my head, and his right hand should embrace me.
  38.   20 And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall aeat every man the bflesh of his own arm:
  39.   21 And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, awalk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
  40.   3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
  41.   10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
  42.   46 And thine elder asister is Samaria, she and her daughters that dwell at thy left hand: and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is bSodom and her daughters.

  46.   11 And should not I aspare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand bpersons that cannot cdiscern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?
  47.   3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
          •  •  •
11 ¶ Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
  48.   6 ¶ In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an ahearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the bpeople round about, on the right hand and on the left: and cJerusalem shall be dinhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
  49.   3 But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:
  50.   21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
          •  •  •
23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my aFather.

  51.   33 And he shall set the sheep on his aright hand, but the goats on the left.
  52.   38 Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.
  53.   37 They said unto him, Grant unto us that we may sit, one on thy right hand, and the other on thy left hand, in thy glory.
          •  •  •
40 But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared.
  54.   27 And with him they crucify two athieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
  55.   33 And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left.
  56.   7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the aarmour of brighteousness on the right hand and on the left,
  57.   2 And he had in his hand a little abook open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
  58.   20 And he ashall snatch on the right hand and be hungry; and he shall beat on the left hand and they shall not be satisfied; they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm—
  59.   20 I perceive that it has been made known unto you, by the testimony of his word, that he cannot awalk in crooked paths; neither doth he vary from that which he hath said; neither hath he a shadow of turning from the right to the left, or from that which is right to that which is wrong; therefore, his course is one eternal round.
  60.   23 Now when the Lamanites saw that their brethren would not flee from the sword, neither would they turn aside to the right hand or to the left, but that they would lie down and aperish, and bpraised God even in the very act of perishing under the sword—
  61.   37 Yea, even to a considerable distance, insomuch that when they saw the army of Antipus pursuing them, with their might, they did not turn to the right nor to the left, but pursued their march in a straight course after us; and, as we suppose, it was their intent to slay us before Antipus should overtake them, and this that they might not be surrounded by our people.
          •  •  •
40 Now they durst not turn to the right nor to the left lest they should be surrounded; neither would I turn to the right nor to the left lest they should overtake me, and we could not stand against them, but be slain, and they would make their escape; and thus we did flee all that day into the wilderness, even until it was dark.
  62.   17 Now Gid and his men were on the right and the others on the left; and when they had thus secreted themselves, behold, I remained, with the remainder of my army, in that same place where we had first pitched our tents against the time that the Lamanites should come out to battle.
  63.   3 But when thou doest alms let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth;
  64.   3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left, and thy seed shall ainherit the bGentiles and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.
  65.   9 Therefore ye need not suppose that ye can turn the right hand of the Lord unto the left, that he may not execute judgment unto the fulfilling of the covenant which he hath made unto the house of Israel.
  66.   2 For God doth not awalk in crooked paths, neither doth he bturn to the right hand nor to the left, neither doth he vary from that which he hath said, therefore his paths are straight, and his ccourse is one eternal round.
  67.   27 And the arighteous shall be gathered on my bright hand unto eternal life; and the wicked on my left hand will I be ashamed to own before the Father;
  68.   88 And whoso areceiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go bbefore your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my cSpirit shall be in your hearts, and mine dangels round about you, to bear you up.
  69.   1 Forasmuch as the Lord has revealed unto me that my enemies, both in Missouri and this State, were again in the pursuit of me; and inasmuch as they pursue me without a acause, and have not the least shadow or coloring of justice or right on their side in the getting up of their prosecutions against me; and inasmuch as their pretensions are all founded in falsehood of the blackest dye, I have thought it expedient and wisdom in me to leave the place for a short season, for my own safety and the safety of this people. I would say to all those with whom I have business, that I have left my baffairs with agents and clerks who will transact all business in a prompt and proper manner, and will see that all my debts are canceled in due time, by turning out property, or otherwise, as the case may require, or as the circumstances may admit of. When I learn that the storm is fully blown over, then I will return to you again.
  70.   43 After this communication, I saw the light in the room begin to gather immediately around the person of him who had been speaking to me, and it continued to do so until the room was again left dark, except just around him; when, instantly I saw, as it were, a conduit open right up into heaven, and he aascended till he entirely disappeared, and the room was left as it had been before this heavenly light had made its appearance.
  71.
