Whether be

  1.   21 And Isaac said unto Jacob, Come near, I pray thee, that I may feel thee, my son, whether thou be my very son Esau or not.
  2.   14 And he said to him, Go, I pray thee, see whether it be well with thy brethren, and well with the flocks; and bring me word again. So he sent him out of the vale of Hebron, and he came to Shechem.
          •  •  •
      32 And they sent the coat of many colours, and they brought it to their father; and said, This have we found: know now whether it be thy son’s coat or no.
  3.   16 Send one of you, and let him fetch your brother, and ye shall be kept in prison, that your words may be proved, whether there be any truth in you: or else by the life of Pharaoh surely ye are spies.
  4.   18 ¶ And Moses went and returned to aJethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which are in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.
  5.   19 Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eateth that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a astranger, or born in the land.
  6.   13 There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount.
  7.   4 If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall arestore double.
          •  •  •
      9 For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour.
  8.   1 And if his oblation be a asacrifice of peace boffering, if he offer it of the herd; whether it be a male or female, he shall offer it cwithout blemish before the Lord.
  9.   2 Or if a soul touch any aunclean thing, whether it be a carcase of an unclean beast, or a carcase of unclean cattle, or the carcase of unclean creeping things, and if it be hidden from him; he also shall be unclean, and bguilty.
  10.   26 Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.
  11.   32 And upon whatsoever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it be any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatsoever vessel it be, wherein any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the even; so it shall be cleansed.
          •  •  •
      35 And every thing whereupon any part of their carcase falleth shall be unclean; whether it be aoven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean unto you.
  12.   47 ¶ The garment also that the plague of leprosy is in, whether it be a woollen garment, or a linen garment;
      48 Whether it be in the warp, or woof; of linen, or of woollen; whether in a skin, or in any thing made of skin;
          •  •  •
      55 And the priest shall look on the plague, after that it is washed: and, behold, if the plague have not changed his colour, and the plague be not spread; it is unclean; thou shalt burn it in the fire; ait is fret inward, whether it be bare within or without.
  13.   29 ¶ And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall aafflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own bcountry, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
  14.   15 And every soul that eateth that which adied of itself, or that which was torn with beasts, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger, he shall both wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even: then shall he be clean.
  15.   9 The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not auncover.
  16.   28 And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill ait and her young both in one day.
  17.   12 And the priest shall value it, whether it be good or bad: as thou valuest it, who art the priest, so shall it be.
          •  •  •
      14 ¶ And when a man shall sanctify his house to be holy unto the Lord, then the priest shall estimate it, whether it be good or bad: as the priest shall estimate it, so shall it stand.
          •  •  •
      26 ¶ Only the afirstling of the beasts, which should be the Lord’s firstling, no man shall sanctify it; whether it be ox, or sheep: it is the Lord’s.
          •  •  •
      33 He shall not search whether it be good or bad, neither shall he change it: and if he change it at all, then both it and the change thereof shall be holy; it shall not be redeemed.
  18.   18 And see the land, what it is; and the people that dwelleth therein, whether they be strong or weak, few or many;
      19 And what the land is that they dwell in, whether it be good or bad; and what cities they be that they dwell in, whether in tents, or in strong holds;
      20 And what the land is, whether it be fat or lean, whether there be wood therein, or not. And be ye of good courage, and bring of the fruit of the land. Now the time was the time of the firstripe grapes.
  19.   30 ¶ But the soul that doeth ought apresumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the Lord; and that soul shall be bcut off from among his people.
  20.   15 Every thing that openeth the amatrix in all flesh, which they bring unto the Lord, whether it be of men or beasts, shall be thine: nevertheless the bfirstborn of man shalt thou surely redeem, and the firstling of unclean beasts shalt thou redeem.
  21.   3 ¶ And this shall be the priest’s adue from the people, from them that offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep; and they shall give unto the priest the shoulder, and the two cheeks, and the bmaw.
  22.   6 ¶ If a bird’s nest chance to be before thee in the way in any tree, or on the ground, whether they be young ones, or eggs, and the adam sitting upon the young, or upon the eggs, thou shalt not take the bdam with the young:
  23.   14 ¶ Thou shalt not aoppress an hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy strangers that are in thy land within thy bgates:
  24.   18 And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive.
  25.   17 Now therefore, if it seem good to the king, let there be search made in the king’s treasure house, which is there at Babylon, whether it be so, that a decree was made of Cyrus the king to build this house of God at Jerusalem, and let the king send his pleasure to us concerning this matter.
  26.   26 And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto adeath, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.
  27.   29 When he giveth aquietness, who then can make trouble? and when he hideth his face, who then can behold him? whether it be done against a nation, or against a man only:
  28.   11 Even a child is known by his adoings, whether his bwork be pure, and whether it be right.
  29.   14 For God shall bring every awork into bjudgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.
  30.   6 Whether it be good, or whether it be evil, we will obey the avoice of the Lord our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the Lord our God.
  31.   31 The priests shall not eat of any thing that is adead of itself, or torn, whether it be fowl or beast.
  32.   63 But Jesus aheld his bpeace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I cadjure thee by the dliving God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.
  33.   31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, sitteth not down first, and aconsulteth whether he be able with ten thousand to meet him that cometh against him with twenty thousand?
  34.   17 If any man will ado his bwill, he shall cknow of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.
  35.   25 He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
  36.   19 But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to ahearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
  37.   2 He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
  38.   13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one abody, whether we be Jews or bGentiles, whether we be cbond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
  39.   8 Charity never afaileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
  40.   6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is aeffectual in the benduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.
  41.   9 For to this end also did I awrite, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be bobedient in all things.
  42.   10 For we must all appear before the ajudgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, baccording to that he hath cdone, whether it be good or bad.
          •  •  •
      13 aFor whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
  43.   5 aExamine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that bJesus cChrist is in you, except ye be reprobates?
  44.   8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he areceive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
  45.   20 According to my earnest expectation and my ahope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be bmagnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
  46.   16 For by him were all athings bcreated, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or cprincipalities, or powers: all things were dcreated by him, and for him:
          •  •  •
      20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to areconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
  47.   13 aSubmit yourselves to every bordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as csupreme;
  48.   24 And thus saith the Lord: They shall stand as a bright testimony against this people, at the judgment day; whereof they shall be judged, every man according to his aworks, whether they be good, or whether they be evil.
  49.   10 Even this mortal shall put on aimmortality, and this bcorruption shall put on incorruption, and shall be brought to cstand before the bar of God, to be judged of him according to their works whether they be good or whether they be evil—
  50.   26 And in one year were thousands and tens of thousands of souls sent to the eternal world, that they might reap their arewards according to their works, whether they were good or whether they were bad, to reap eternal happiness or eternal misery, according to the spirit which they listed to obey, whether it be a good spirit or a bad one.
  51.   44 Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be arestored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the bFather, and the Holy Spirit, which is cone Eternal God, to be djudged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.
  52.   3 And they answered the king, and said: Whether he be the Great Spirit or a man, we know not; but this much we do know, that he acannot be slain by the enemies of the king; neither can they bscatter the king’s flocks when he is with us, because of his expertness and cgreat strength; therefore, we know that he is a friend to the king. And now, O king, we do not believe that a man has such great power, for we know he cannot be slain.
  53.   4 I ought not to harrow up in my desires, the firm decree of a just God, for I know that he granteth unto men according to their adesire, whether it be unto death or unto life; yea, I know that he allotteth unto men, yea, decreeth unto them decrees which are unalterable, according to their bwills, whether they be unto salvation or unto destruction.
  54.   11 Now, concerning the astate of the soul between bdeath and the resurrection—Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are ctaken dhome to that God who gave them life.
          •  •  •
      21 But whether it be at his resurrection or after, I do not say; but this much I say, that there is a aspace between death and the resurrection of the body, and a state of the soul in bhappiness or in cmisery until the time which is appointed of God that the dead shall come forth, and be reunited, both soul and body, and be dbrought to stand before God, and be judged according to their works.
  55.   4 And even unto the agreat and last day, when all people, and all kindreds, and all nations and tongues shall bstand before God, to be judged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil—
  56.   14 And my Father sent me that I might be alifted up upon the bcross; and after that I had been lifted up upon the ccross, that I might ddraw all men unto me, that as I have been lifted up by men even so should men be lifted up by the Father, to stand before me, to be ejudged of their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil—
  57.   20 And these things doth the Spirit manifest unto me; therefore I write unto you all. And for this cause I write unto you, that ye may know that ye must all stand before the ajudgment-seat of Christ, yea, every soul who belongs to the whole human bfamily of Adam; and ye must stand to be judged of your works, whether they be good or evil;
  58.   10 And there are none that do know the true God save it be the adisciples of Jesus, who did tarry in the land until the wickedness of the people was so great that the Lord would not suffer them to bremain with the people; and whether they be upon the face of the land no man knoweth.
  59.   16 And again, it is given by the Holy Ghost to some to know the diversities of operations, whether they be of God, that the manifestations of the aSpirit may be given to every man to profit withal.
  60.   40 And let all the moneys which can be spared, it mattereth not unto me whether it be little or much, be sent up unto the land of Zion, unto them whom I have appointed to areceive.
  61.   28 A time to come in the which anothing shall be withheld, whether there be bone God or many cgods, they shall be manifest.
  62.   2 And as for the aperils which I am called to pass through, they seem but a small thing to me, as the benvy and wrath of man have been my common lot all the days of my life; and for what cause it seems mysterious, unless I was cordained from before the foundation of the world for some good end, or bad, as you may choose to call it. Judge ye for yourselves. God dknoweth all these things, whether it be good or bad. But nevertheless, deep water is what I am wont to swim in. It all has become a second nature to me; and I feel, like Paul, to glory in etribulation; for to this day has the God of my fathers delivered me out of them all, and will deliver me from henceforth; for behold, and lo, I shall triumph over all my enemies, for the Lord God hath spoken it.
  63.   13 And everything that is in the world, whether it be ordained of men, by athrones, or principalities, or powers, or things of name, whatsoever they may be, that are not by me or by my word, saith the Lord, shall be thrown down, and shall bnot remain after men are dead, neither in nor after the resurrection, saith the Lord your God.
