Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run withpatience the race that is set before us,

And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and
his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that
they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and withpatience to all the will of the Lord.
25
Now this was a great trial to those that did stand fast in the faith;
nevertheless, they were steadfast and immovable in keeping the
commandments of God, and they bore withpatience the persecution which was heaped upon them.
27
Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back,
behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the
Lamanites, and bear withpatience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success.
31
O Lord, my heart is exceedingly sorrowful; wilt thou comfort my soul in
Christ. O Lord, wilt thou grant unto me that I may have strength, that I
may suffer withpatience these afflictions which shall come upon me, because of the iniquity of this people.
41
But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and withpatience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.

For I know that thou wast in bonds; yea, and I also know that thou wast
stoned for the word’s sake; and thou didst bear all these things withpatience because the Lord was with thee; and now thou knowest that the Lord did deliver thee.
