Take up

  1.   34 Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
  2.   36 And when the acloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys:
37 But if the cloud were not taken up, then they ajourneyed not till the day that it was taken up.
  3.   10 And the priest shall put on his linen agarment, and his linen bbreeches shall he put upon his flesh, and take up the ashes which the fire hath consumed with the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.
  4.   17 And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents.
          •  •  •
21 And so it was, when the cloud abode from even unto the morning, and that the cloud was taken up in the morning, then they journeyed: whether it was by day or by night that the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
22 Or whether it were two days, or a month, or aa year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, remaining thereon, the children of Israel abode in their tents, and journeyed not: but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
  5.   11 ¶ And it came to pass on the twentieth day of the second month, in the second year, that the acloud was taken up from off the btabernacle of the testimony.
  6.   37 Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.
  7.   7 And he took up his parable, and said, Balak the king of Moab hath brought me from Aram, out of the mountains of the east, saying, Come, curse me Jacob, and come, adefy Israel.
          •  •  •
18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:
  8.   3 And he took up his aparable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
          •  •  •
15 ¶ And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
          •  •  •
20 ¶ And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, aAmalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
21 And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
          •  •  •
23 And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
  9.   6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people.
  10.   5 And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel:
          •  •  •
8 And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the Lord spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.
  11.   6 ¶ And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the aark of the covenant, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams’ horns before the ark of theLord.
          •  •  •
12 ¶ And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the priests took up the ark of the Lord.
  12.   28 And he said unto her, Up, and let us be going. But none answered. Then the man took her up upon an ass, and the man rose up, and gat him unto his place.
  13.   18 ¶ And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.
  14.   24 ¶ And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the Lord in Shiloh: and the child was young.
  15.   24 And the cook took up the ashoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the people. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
  16.   32 ¶ And they took up Asahel, and buried him in the sepulchre of his father, which was in Beth-lehem. And Joab and his men went all night, and they came to Hebron at break of day.
  17.   4 And aJonathan, Saul’s son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his name was Mephibosheth.
  18.   9 ¶ And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
  19.   3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the apriests took up the ark.
  20.   29 And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him.
  21.   1 And it came to pass, when the Lord would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with aElisha from bGilgal.
          •  •  •
      13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
          •  •  •
16 ¶ And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the aSpirit of the Lord hathtaken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send.
  22.   36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
37 Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground, and took up her ason, and went out.
  23.   7 Therefore said he, Take it up to thee. And he put out his hand, and took it.
  24.   25 Then said Jehu to Bidkar his captain, Take upand cast him in the portion of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite: for remember how that, when I and thou rode together after Ahab his father, the Lord laid this burden upon him;
  25.   15 ¶ And when he was departed thence, he lighted on aJehonadab the son of bRechab coming to meet him: and he saluted him, and said to him, Is thine heart right, as my heart is with thy heart? And Jehonadab answered, It is. If it be, give me thine hand. And he gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.
  26.   4 And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark.
  27.   1 And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence.
  28.   2 For there were that said, We, our sons, and our daughters, are many: therefore we take up corn for them, that we may eat, and live.
  29.   3 He that abackbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his bneighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
  30.   4 Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another agod: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
  31.   10 When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
  32.   29 They are gone over the passage: they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah is afraid; Gibeah of Saul is fled.
  33.   14 And it shall be as the achased roe, and as a sheep that bno man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own cpeople, and flee every one into his own dland.
  34.   4 ¶ That thou shalt take up this aproverb against the king of bBabylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the cgolden city ceased!
  35.   15 Behold, the anations are as a bdrop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the cisles as a very little thing.
  36.   14 aAnd shall say, Cast ye up, cast ye upbprepare the way, take up the cstumblingblock out of the way of my people.
  37.   29 ¶ Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a alamentation on high places; for the Lord hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
  38.   10 For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none can pass through them;neither can men hear the voice of the cattle; both the fowl of the heavens and the beast are fled; they are gone.
          •  •  •
18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out with waters.
  39.   22 And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The Lord make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;
  40.   10 Then the king commanded Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from hence thirty men with thee, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he die.
          •  •  •
13 So they drew up Jeremiah with cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.
  41.   12 Then the aspirit took me up, and I heard behind me a voice of a great rushing, saying, Blessed be the glory of the Lord from his place.
  42.   24 ¶ Afterwards the aspirit took me up, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to them of the captivity. So the vision that I had seen went up from me.
  43.   1 Moreover take thou up a alamentation for the princes of Israel,
  44.   17 And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast astrong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!
  45.   2 Now, thou son of man, take up a alamentation for Tyrus;
          •  •  •
32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea?
  46.   12 Son of man, take up a alamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in bbeauty.
  47.   2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of aEgypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a bwhale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and cfouledst their rivers.
  48.   3 Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:
  49.   5 So the aspirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the bglory of the Lord filled the house.
  50.   22 Therefore because the king’s commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.
    1.   23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he abelieved in his God.
    2.   5 Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no agin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
    3.   1 Hear ye this word which I take up against you, even a lamentation, O house of Israel.
    4.   10 And a man’s uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall say, No. Then shall he say, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the Lord.
    5.   12 And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.
            •  •  •
15 So they took up Jonah, and cast him forth into the sea: and the sea ceased from her raging.
    6.   4 ¶ In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and say, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields.
    7.   15 They take up all of them with the aangle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their bdrag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.
    8.   6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and say, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay!
    9.   5 aThen the devil taketh him up into the bholy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
            •  •  •
        8 aAgain, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the bkingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
    10.   6 But that ye may know that the aSon of man hath bpower on earth to cforgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
    11.   12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.
            •  •  •
20 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they atook up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
    12.   37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they atook up of the bbroken meat that was left seven baskets full.
    13.   9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
10 Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?
            •  •  •
24 ¶ Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him adeny himself, and take up his bcross, and cfollow dme.
    14.   27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of amoney: that take, and bgive unto them for me and thee.
    15.   9 Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk?
            •  •  •
11 I say unto thee, aArise, and take up thy bbed, and go thy way into thine house.
12 And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.
    16.   29 And when his disciples heard of it, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.
            •  •  •
43 And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
    17.   8 So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets.
            •  •  •
19 When I brake the five loaves among five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say unto him, Twelve.
20 And when the seven among four thousand, how many baskets full of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
            •  •  •
34 ¶ And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him adeny himself, and take up his cross, and bfollowme.
    18.   16 And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and ablessed them.
            •  •  •
21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and agive to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and bfollow me.
    19.   16 And let him that is in the field not turn back again for to take up his garment.
    20.   18 They shall take up aserpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not bhurt them: they shall lay chands on the dsick, and they shall recover.
    21.   24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to aforgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, aglorifying God.
    22.   17 And they did eat, and were all filled: and there was taken up of fragments that remained to them twelve baskets.
            •  •  •
23 ¶ And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his across daily, and bfollow me.
    23.   21 For I afeared thee, because thou art an baustere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
    24.   8 Jesus saith unto him, aRisetake up thy bed, and walk.
9 And immediately the man was made awhole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the bsabbath.
            •  •  •
11 He answered them, He that made me whole, the same said unto me, Take up thy bed, and walk.
12 Then asked they him, What man is that which said unto thee, Take up thy bed, and walk?
    25.   59 Then took they up astones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so bpassed by.
    26.   31 Then the Jews took up astones again to stone him.
    27.   2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the Holy Ghost had given acommandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen:
            •  •  •
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was ataken bup; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
            •  •  •
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into aheaven? this same Jesus, which is btaken up from you into heaven, shall so ccome in like dmanner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
            •  •  •
22 Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one abe ordained to be a bwitness with us of his cresurrection.
    28.   21 And when he was cast out, Pharaoh’s daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own ason.
            •  •  •
43 Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.
    29.   26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a aman.
    30.   9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
    31.   15 And after those days we atook up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.
    32.   17 Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.
            •  •  •
40 And when they had ataken up the anchors, they committed themselves unto the sea, and loosed the rudder bands, and hoised up the mainsail to the wind, and made toward shore.
    33.   21 And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city aBabylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.
    34.   29 They are gone over the apassage; they have taken up their lodging at bGeba; Ramath is afraid; cGibeah of Saul is fled.
    35.   14 And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up; and they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own aland.
    36.   4 And it shall come to pass in that day, that thou shalt take up this proverb aagainst the king of bBabylon, and say: How hath the oppressor ceased, the golden city ceased!
    37.   10 Now when Amlici was made king over them he commanded them that they should take up arms against their brethren; and this he did that he might subject them to him.
    38.   2 And their hatred became exceedingly sore against them, even insomuch that they began to rebel against their king, insomuch that they would not that he should be their king; therefore, they took up arms against the people of Anti-Nephi-Lehi.
            •  •  •
6 Now there was not one soul among all the people who had been converted unto the Lord that would take up arms against their brethren; nay, they would not even make any preparations for war; yea, and also their king commanded them that they should not.
    39.   25 And moreover they did say: Let us take up arms against them, that we destroy them and their iniquity out of the land, lest they overrun us and destroy us.
            •  •  •
34 For behold, they would take up arms against their brethren; they would not suffer themselves to be slain. But behold how amany of these have laid down their lives; and we know that they have gone to their God, because of their love and of their hatred to sin.
    40.   23 And behold, we will set our armies between the land Jershon and the land Nephi, that we may aprotect our brethren in the land Jershon; and this we do for our brethren, on account of their fear to take up arms against their brethren lest they should commit sin; and this their great fear came because of their sore repentance which they had, on account of their many murders and their awful wickedness.
            •  •  •
28 And they did look upon shedding the blood of their brethren with the greatest abhorrence; and they never could be prevailed upon to take up arms against their brethren; and they never did look upon death with any degree of terror, for their hope and views of Christ and the resurrection; therefore, death was swallowed up to them by the victory of Christ over it.
    41.   14 And Alma, and Ammon, and their brethren, and also the atwo sons of Alma returned to the land of Zarahemla, after having been instruments in the hands of God of bringingbmany of the cZoramites to repentance; and as many as were brought to repentance were driven out of their land; but they have lands for their inheritance in the land of Jershon, and they have taken up arms to defend themselves, and their wives, and children, and their lands.
    42.   11 Yea, and they also knew the extreme hatred of the Lamanites towards their abrethren, who were the bpeople of Anti-Nephi-Lehi, who were called the people of Ammon—and they would not take up arms, yea, they had entered into a covenant and they would not break it—therefore, if they should fall into the hands of the Lamanites they would be destroyed.
    43.   13 And it came to pass that the soldier who stood by, who smote off the scalp of Zerahemnah, took up the scalp from off the ground by the hair, and laid it upon the point of his sword, and stretched it forth unto them, saying unto them with a loud voice:
    44.   19 Behold, this we know, that he was a righteous man; and the saying went abroad in the church that he was taken up by the aSpirit, or bburied by the hand of the Lord, even as Moses. But behold, the scriptures saith the Lord took Moses unto himself; and we suppose that he has also received Alma in the spirit, unto himself; therefore, for this cause we know nothing concerning his death and burial.
    45.   23 Now, they were asorry to take up arms against the Lamanites, because they did not delight in the shedding of blood; yea, and this was not all—they were bsorry to be the means of sending so many of their brethren out of this world into an eternal world, cunprepared to meet their God.
    46.   26 For behold, the people who possessed the land of Morianton did claim a part of the land of Lehi; therefore there began to be a warm acontention between them, insomuch that the people of Morianton took up arms against their brethren, and they were determined by the sword to slay them.
    47.   13 And it came to pass that when the men who were called king-men had heard that the Lamanites were coming down to battle against them, they were glad in their hearts; and they refused to take up arms, for they were so wroth with the chief judge, and also with the apeople of bliberty, that they would not take up arms to defend their country.

17 And it came to pass that Moroni commanded that his army should go against those king-men, to pull down their pride and their nobility and level them with the earth, or they should take up arms and support the cause of liberty.

20 And the remainder of those dissenters, rather than be smitten down to the earth by the sword, yielded to the standard of liberty, and were compelled to hoist the atitle of liberty upon their towers, and in their cities, and to take up arms in defence of their country.
    48.   13 But it came to pass that when they saw the danger, and the many aafflictions and tribulations which the Nephites bore for them, they were moved with compassion and werebdesirous to take up arms in the defence of their country.

16 But behold, it came to pass they had many asons, who had not entered into a covenant that they would not take their weapons of war to defend themselves against their enemies; therefore they did assemble themselves together at this time, as many as were able to take up arms, and they called themselves Nephites.
    49.   6 And now ye also know concerning the acovenant which their fathers made, that they would not take up their weapons of war against their brethren to shed blood.
7 But in the twenty and sixth year, when they saw our afflictions and our tribulations for them, they were about to abreak the covenant which they had made and take up their weapons of war in our defence.

9 And the men of Pachus received their trial, according to the law, and also those king-men who had been taken and acast into prison; and they were bexecuted according to the law; yea, those men of Pachus and those cking-men, whosoever would not take up arms in the defence of their country, but would fight against it, were put to death.

16 And it came to pass after they had taken them, they caused them to enter into a acovenant that they would no more take up their weapons of war against the Nephites.
      1.   9 And ye know also that they have aburied their weapons of war, and they fear to take them up lest by any means they should sin; yea, ye can see that they fear to sin—for behold they will suffer themselves that they be trodden down and slain by their enemies, and will not lift their swords against them, and this because of their bfaith in Christ.
      2.   11 And it came to pass in the thirteenth year there began to be wars and contentions throughout all the land; for the aGadianton robbers had become so bnumerous, and did slay so many of the people, and did lay waste so many cities, and did spread so much death and carnage throughout the land, that it became expedient that all the people, both the Nephites and the Lamanites, should take up arms against them.
12 Therefore, all the Lamanites who had become converted unto the Lord did unite with their brethren, the Nephites, and were compelled, for the asafety of their lives and their women and their children, to take up arms against those Gadianton robbers, yea, and also to maintain their rights, and the privileges of their church and of their worship, and their freedom and their bliberty.
      3.   22 Therefore, whoso arepenteth and cometh unto me bas a clittle child, him will I receive, for of such is the kingdom of God. Behold, for such I have dlaid down my life, and havetaken it up again; therefore repent, and come unto me ye ends of the earth, and be saved.
      4.   30 For it is better that ye should deny yourselves of these things, wherein ye will take up your across, than that ye should be cast into hell.
      5.   23 And now I, Mormon, seeing that the Lamanites were about to overthrow the land, therefore I did go to the hill aShim, and did take up all the brecords which Ammaron had hid upunto the Lord.
      6.   24 And athese signs shall follow them that believe—in my name shall they cast out bdevils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay chands on the sick and they shall recover;
      7.   16 And it came to pass that when it was night they were weary, and retired to their camps; and after they had retired to their camps they took up a howling and a alamentation for the loss of the slain of their people; and so great were their cries, their howlings and lamentations, that they did rend the air exceedingly.
      8.   6 Behold, I manifest unto you, Joseph Knight, by these words, that you must take up your across, in the which you must bpray cvocally before the world as well as in secret, and in your family, and among your friends, and in all places.
      9.   33 And there shall be aearthquakes also in divers places, and many desolations; yet men will harden their hearts against me, and they will take up the bsword, one against another, and they will kill one another.
      10.   2 And he that will not take up his across and bfollow me, and keep my commandments, the same shall not be saved.

5 Wherefore, I revoke the commandment which was given unto my servants aThomas B. Marsh and Ezra Thayre, and give a new commandment unto my servant Thomas, that he shall take up his journey speedily to the land of Missouri, and my servant Selah J. Griffin shall also go with him.
      11.   21 For ye are the achurch of the bFirstborn, and he will take you up in a ccloud, and appoint every man his portion.
      12.   14 Now, I say unto you, and what I say unto you, I say unto all the Twelve: Arise and gird up your loins, take up your across, follow me, and bfeed my sheep.
      13.   4 O Lord God aAlmighty, maker of bheaven, earth, and seas, and of all things that in them are, and who controllest and subjectest the devil, and the dark and benighted dominion of Sheol—stretch forth thy hand; let thine eye pierce; let thy cpavilion be taken up; let thy dhiding place no longer be covered; let thine ear be inclined; let thine eheart be softened, and thy bowels moved with compassion toward us.
      14.   4 And let all those who come from the east, and the west, and the north, and the south, that have desires to dwell therein, take up their inheritance in the same, as well as in the city ofaNashville, or in the city of Nauvoo, and in all the bstakes which I have appointed, saith the Lord.
      15.   21 And it came to pass that the Lord showed unto Enoch all the inhabitants of the earth; and he beheld, and lo, aZion, in process of time, was btaken up into heaven. And the Lord said unto Enoch: Behold mine abode forever.

          23 And after that Zion was taken up into aheaven, Enoch bbeheld, and lo, call the nations of the earth were before him;
