Judge righteous

  1. 25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?
  2. 15 ¶ Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.
  3. 16 And I charged your judges at that time, saying, Hear the causes between your brethren, and judge righteously between every man and his brother, and the stranger that is with him.
  4. 8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
  5. 19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
  6. 1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
  7. 32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.
  8. 23 Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness.
  9. 15 Whom, though I were righteous, yet would I not answer, but I would make supplication to my judge.
  10. 7 There the righteous might dispute with him; so should I be delivered for ever from my judge.
  11. 14 I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.
  12. 5 For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
  13. 8 Wilt thou also disannul my judgment? wilt thou condemn me, that thou mayest be righteous?
  14. 5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
  15. 8 The Lord shall judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
    • • •
11 God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
  16. 8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
  17. 9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether.
  18. 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord.
  19. 24 Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me.
  20. 6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.
  21. 6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.
    • • •
30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
  22. 6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
  23. 1 Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?
    • • •
11 So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.
  24. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah.
  25. 1 Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king’s son.
2 He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
  26. 15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.
  27. 10 Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
    • • •
13 Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.
  28. 2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne.
  29. 9 Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.
  30. 4 The king’s strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.
  31. 6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
  32. 3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.
  33. 7 I will praise thee with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
    • • •
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments.
    • • •
106 I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
    • • •
137 Righteous art thou, O Lord, and upright are thy judgments.
    • • •
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
    • • •
164 Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
  34. 9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
  35. 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:
  36. 5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
  37. 9 Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.
  38. 16 ¶ And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.
  39. 21 ¶ How is the faithful city become an harlot! it was full of judgment; righteousness lodged in it; but now murderers.
    • • •
26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.
27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.
  40. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
    • • •
16 But the Lord of hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
  41. 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
  42. 5 And in mercy shall the throne be established: and he shall sit upon it in truth in the tabernacle of David, judging, and seeking judgment, and hasting righteousness.
  43. 9 With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
  44. 17 Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and the hail shall sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow the hiding place.
  45. 1 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.
    • • •
16 Then judgment shall dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness remain in the fruitful field.
  46. 5 The Lord is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.
  47. 5 My righteousness is near; my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the people; the isles shall wait upon me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
  48. 17 ¶ No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
  49. 1 Thus saith the Lord, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.
  50. 2 And thou shalt swear, The Lord liveth, in truth, in judgment, and in righteousness; and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.
  51. 24 But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord.
  52. 20 But, O Lord of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
  53. 1 Righteous art thou, O Lord, when I plead with thee: yet let me talk with thee of thy judgments: Wherefore doth the way of the wicked prosper? wherefore are all they happy that deal very treacherously?
  54. 3 Thus saith the Lord; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place.
  55. 5 ¶ Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
  56. 15 ¶ In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
  57. 52 Thou also, which hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own shame for thy sins that thou hast committed more abominable than they: they are more righteous than thou: yea, be thou confounded also, and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.
  58. 45 ¶ And the righteous men, they shall judge them after the manner of adulteresses, and after the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands.
  59. 19 And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
  60. 7 Ye who turn judgment to wormwood, and leave off righteousness in the earth,
    • • •
24 But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.
  61. 12 ¶ Shall horses run upon the rock? will one plow there with oxen? for ye have turned judgment into gall, and the fruit of righteousness into hemlock:
  62. 9 I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgment for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.
  63. 4 Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.
  64. 3 Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord’s anger.
  65. 24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
  66. 8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
  67. 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.
  68. 25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.
  69. 5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
  70. 18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
  71. 5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
  72. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
  73. 23 Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
  74. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus.

  77. 33 Wherefore, if they should die in their wickedness they must be cast off also, as to the things which are spiritual, which are pertaining to righteousness; wherefore, they must be brought to stand before God, to be judged of their works; and if their works have been filthiness they must needs be filthy; and if they be filthy it must needs be that they cannot dwell in the kingdom of God; if so, the kingdom of God must be filthy also.
  78. 22 And we know that the people who were in the land of Jerusalem were a righteous people; for they kept the statutes and judgments of the Lord, and all his commandments, according to the law of Moses; wherefore, we know that they are a righteous people; and our father hath judged them, and hath led us away because we would hearken unto his words; yea, and our brother is like unto him. And after this manner of language did my brethren murmur and complain against us.

  81. 46 Prepare your souls for that glorious day when justice shall be administered unto the righteous, even the day of judgment, that ye may not shrink with awful fear; that ye may not remember your awful guilt in perfectness, and be constrained to exclaim: Holy, holy are thy judgments, O Lord God Almighty—but I know my guilt; I transgressed thy law, and my transgressions are mine; and the devil hath obtained me, that I am a prey to his awful misery.
  82. 7 For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant; and he looked for judgment, and behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold, a cry.
    • • •
16 But the Lord of Hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God that is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.
  83. 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
  84. 9 And with righteousness shall the Lord God judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth. And he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
  85. 7 Wherefore, the Lord did visit them in great judgment; nevertheless, he did spare the righteous that they should not perish, but did deliver them out of the hands of their enemies.
  86. 4 For the Lord hath heard thy prayers, and hath judged of thy righteousness, and hath sent me to declare unto thee that thou mayest rejoice; and that thou mayest declare unto thy people, that they may also be filled with joy.
    • • •
10 And he shall rise the third day from the dead; and behold, he standeth to judge the world; and behold, all these things are done that a righteous judgment might come upon the children of men.
  87. 29 If your higher judges do not judge righteous judgments, ye shall cause that a small number of your lower judges should be gathered together, and they shall judge your higher judges, according to the voice of the people.

43 And now it came to pass that Alma did walk in the ways of the Lord, and he did keep his commandments, and he did judge righteous judgments; and there was continual peace through the land.
  88. 44 Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.
  89. 14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again.
