Of the righteous

  1.   28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.
  2.   8 ¶ And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
  3.   10 Who can count the dust of Jacob, and the number of the fourth part of Israel? Let me die the death of the righteous, and let my last end be like his!
  4.   19 Thou shalt not wrest judgment; thou shalt not respect persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words of the righteous.
  5.   7 Now therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the Lord of all the righteous acts of the Lord, which he did to you and to your fathers.
  6.   5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
  7.   5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
  8.   19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.
  9.   30 The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.
          •  •  •
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord: he is their strength in the time of trouble.
  10.   10 All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
  11.   21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.
  12.   15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the Lord doeth valiantly.
  13.   3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.
  14.   20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
  15.   3 The Lord will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
          •  •  •
16 The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
          •  •  •
21 The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
          •  •  •
24 The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
          •  •  •
28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
          •  •  •
32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.
  16.   21 Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
          •  •  •
23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
          •  •  •
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
  17.   3 A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.
          •  •  •
5 The thoughts of the righteous are right: but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.
          •  •  •
7 The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.
          •  •  •
12 The wicked desireth the net of evil men: but the root of the righteous yieldeth fruit.
  18.   9 The light of the righteous rejoiceth: but the lamp of the wicked shall be put out.
  19.   19 The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous.
  20.   6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
          •  •  •
19 The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain.
          •  •  •
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.
  21.   24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
  22.   15 Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place:
  23.   14 There is a vanity which is done upon the earth; that there be just men, unto whom it happeneth according to the work of the wicked; again, there be wicked men, to whom it happeneth according to the work of the righteous: I said that this also is vanity.
  24.   23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
  25.   22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life:
  26.   20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.
  27.   12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.
  28.   29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
  29.   5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
  30.   5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:
  31.   13 O how great the plan of our God! For on the other hand, the paradise of God must deliver up the spirits of the righteous, and the grave deliver up the body of the righteous; and the spirit and the body is restored to itself again, and all men become incorruptible, and immortal, and they are living souls, having a perfect knowledge like unto us in the flesh, save it be that our knowledge shall be perfect.
  32.   23 Who justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
  33.   15 After my seed and the seed of my brethren shall have dwindled in unbelief, and shall have been smitten by the Gentiles; yea, after the Lord God shall have camped against them round about, and shall have laid siege against them with a mount, and raised forts against them; and after they shall have been brought down low in the dust, even that they are not, yet the words of the righteous shall be written, and the prayers of the faithful shall be heard, and all those who have dwindled in unbelief shall not be forgotten.
  34.   57 And now I say unto you, all you that are desirous to follow the voice of the good shepherd, come ye out from the wicked, and be ye separate, and touch not their unclean things; and behold, their names shall be blotted out, that the names of the wicked shall not be numbered among the names of the righteous, that the word of God may be fulfilled, which saith: The names of the wicked shall not be mingled with the names of my people;
58 For the names of the righteous shall be written in the book of life, and unto them will I grant an inheritance at my right hand. And now, my brethren, what have ye to say against this? I say unto you, if ye speak against it, it matters not, for the word of God must be fulfilled.
  35.   3 And it also came to pass that whosoever did belong to the church that did not repent of their wickedness and humble themselves before God—I mean those who were lifted up in the pride of their hearts—the same were rejected, and their names were blotted out, that their names were not numbered among those of the righteous.
  36.   18 Ye are laying plans to pervert the ways of the righteous, and to bring down the wrath of God upon your heads, even to the utter destruction of this people.
          •  •  •
22 Yea, and I say unto you that if it were not for the prayers of the righteous, who are now in the land, that ye would even now be visited with utter destruction; yet it would not be by flood, as were the people in the days of Noah, but it would be by famine, and by pestilence, and the sword.
23 But it is by the prayers of the righteous that ye are spared; now therefore, if ye will cast out the righteous from among you then will not the Lord stay his hand; but in his fierce anger he will come out against you; then ye shall be smitten by famine, and by pestilence, and by the sword; and the time is soon at hand except ye repent.
  37.   36 And this I know, because the Lord hath said he dwelleth not in unholy temples, but in the hearts of the righteous doth he dwell; yea, and he has also said that the righteous shall sit down in his kingdom, to go no more out; but their garments should be made white through the blood of the Lamb.
  38.   20 Now, my son, I do not say that their resurrection cometh at the resurrection of Christ; but behold, I give it as my opinion, that the souls and the bodies are reunited, of the righteous, at the resurrection of Christ, and his ascension into heaven.
  39.   40 And there had been murders, and contentions, and dissensions, and all manner of iniquity among the people of Nephi; nevertheless for the righteous’ sake, yea, because of the prayers of the righteous, they were spared.
  40.   33 And they did grow in their iniquities in the sixty and eighth year also, to the great sorrow and lamentation of the righteous.
          •  •  •
38 And it came to pass on the other hand, that the Nephites did build them up and support them, beginning at the more wicked part of them, until they had overspread all the land of the Nephites, and had seduced the more part of the righteous until they had come down to believe in their works and partake of their spoils, and to join with them in their secret murders and combinations.
  41.   21 And also the Lord will remember the prayers of the righteous, which have been put up unto him for them.
  42.   12 For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads.
  43.   54 And until that hour there will be foolish virgins among the wise; and at that hour cometh an entire separation of the righteous and the wicked; and in that day will I send mine angels to pluck out the wicked and cast them into unquenchable fire.
  44.   38 Among the great and mighty ones who were assembled in this vast congregation of the righteous were Father Adam, the Ancient of Days and father of all,
  45.   45 And it came to pass that Enoch looked; and from Noah, he beheld all the families of the earth; and he cried unto the Lord, saying: When shall the day of the Lord come? When shall the blood of the Righteous be shed, that all they that mourn may be sanctified and have eternal life?
          •  •  •
      67 And the Lord showed Enoch all things, even unto the end of the world; and he saw the day of the righteous, the hour of their redemption, and received a fulness of joy;
