20 For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as Iwould, and thatI shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:
10 And it came to pass thatI was constrained by the Spirit thatI should kill Laban; but I said in my heart: Never at any time have I shed the blood of man. And I shrunk and wouldthatI might not slay him.
18 And it came to pass that they wouldthatI should be their king. But I, Nephi, was desirous that they should have no king; nevertheless, I did for them according to that which was in my power.
5 Therefore it sufficeth me thatI tell you that two thousand of these young men have taken their weapons of war, and wouldthatI should be their leader; and we have come forth to defend our country.
