"It is (not) good"

  1. 18 ¶ And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
  2. 25 And they took of the fruit of the land in their hands, and brought it down unto us, and brought us word again, and said, It is a good land which the Lord our God doth give us.
  3. 9 And they said, Arise, that we may go up against them: for we have seen the land, and, behold, it is very good: and are ye still? be not slothful to go, and to enter to possess the land.
  4. 22 And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field.
  5. 24 Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord’s people to transgress.
  6. 9 Also I said, It is not good that ye do: ought ye not to walk in the fear of our God because of the reproach of the heathen our enemies?
  7. 9 I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
  8. 6 I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord; for it is good.
  9. 28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all thy works.
  10. 1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:
  11. 71 It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes.
  12. 1 Praise ye the Lord: for it is good to sing praises unto our God; for it is pleasant; and praise is comely.
  13. 5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.
  14. 2 Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.
  15. 13 My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

23 These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment.
  16. 27 It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
  17. 18 ¶ Behold that which I have seen: it is good and comely for one to eat and to drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labour that he taketh under the sun all the days of his life, which God giveth him: for it is his portion.
  18. 18 It is good that thou shouldest take hold of this; yea, also from this withdraw not thine hand: for he that feareth God shall come forth of them all.
  19. 26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord.
27 It is good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth.
  20. 13 ¶ Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
  21. 4 Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
  22. 10 ¶ His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry.
  23. 5 And Peter answered and said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
  24. 33 And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.
  25. 16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
  26. 21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
  27. 1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.

26 I suppose therefore that this is good for the present distress, I say, that it is good for a man so to be.
  28. 18 But it is good to be zealously affected always in a good thing, and not only when I am present with you.
  29. 9 Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
  30. 32 But behold, this time it hath brought forth much fruit, and there is none of it which is good. And behold, there are all kinds of bad fruit; and it profiteth me nothing, notwithstanding all our labor; and now it grieveth me that I should lose this tree.

75 And it came to pass that when the Lord of the vineyard saw that his fruit was good, and that his vineyard was no more corrupt, he called up his servants, and said unto them: Behold, for this last time have we nourished my vineyard; and thou beholdest that I have done according to my will; and I have preserved the natural fruit, that it is good, even like as it was in the beginning. And blessed art thou; for because ye have been diligent in laboring with me in my vineyard, and have kept my commandments, and have brought unto me again the natural fruit, that my vineyard is no more corrupted, and the bad is cast away, behold ye shall have joy with me because of the fruit of my vineyard.
  31. 32 Therefore, if a seed groweth it is good, but if it groweth not, behold it is not good, therefore it is cast away.

35 O then, is not this real? I say unto you, Yea, because it is light; and whatsoever is light, is good, because it is discernible, therefore ye must know that it is good; and now behold, after ye have tasted this light is your knowledge perfect?
  32. 5 Lift up your hearts and be glad, for I am in your midst, and am your advocate with the Father; and it is his good will to give you the kingdom.
  33. 5 That inasmuch as any man drinketh wine or strong drink among you, behold it is not good, neither meet in the sight of your Father, only in assembling yourselves together to offer up your sacraments before him.
  34. 40 They are called to be the savor of men; therefore, if that salt of the earth lose its savor, behold, it is thenceforth good for nothing only to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
  35. 14 And the Gods said: Let us make an help meet for the man, for it is not good that the man should be alone, therefore we will form an help meet for him.
