And now, when I, Nephi, hadheard
these words, I remembered the words of the Lord which he spake unto me
in the wilderness, saying that: Inasmuch as thy seed shall keep my
commandments, they shall prosper in the land of promise.

Nowwhen king Noah hadheard of the words which Abinadi had
spoken unto the people, he was also wroth; and he said: Who is Abinadi,
that I and my people should be judged of him, or who is the Lord, that
shall bring upon my people such great affliction?

Andnowwhen the king hadheard these words, he said unto his priests: Away with this fellow, and slay him; for what have we to do with him, for he is mad.

Nowwhen Gideon hadheard
these things, he being the king’s captain, he went forth and said unto
the king: I pray thee forbear, and do not search this people, and lay
not this thing to their charge.

these words, he marveled again, for he beheld that Ammon could discern
his thoughts; but notwithstanding this, king Lamoni did open his mouth,
and said unto him: Who art thou? Art thou that Great Spirit, who knows
all things?
