1. 1 Sam. 22: 5
     5 ¶ And the prophet ^aGad said unto David, Abide not in the hold; depart, and get thee into the land of Judah. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth.
2. 1 Kgs. 7: 2
     2 ¶ He built also the ^ahouse of the forest of Lebanon; the length thereof was an hundred cubits, and the breadth thereof fifty cubits, and the height thereof thirty cubits, upon four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams upon the pillars.
3. 1 Kgs. 10: 17, 21
     17 And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.

     21 ¶ And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.
4. 2 Kgs. 19: 23
     23 By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the ^amultitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.

     47 And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.

     2 Howl, ^afir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye ^boaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
