Be a law

  1.   29 And now I say unto you that it was expedient that there should be a law given to the children of Israel, yea, even a very strict law; for they were a stiffnecked people, quick to do iniquity, and slow to remember the Lord their God;
  2.   7 Now there was no law against a man’s belief; for it was strictly contrary to the commands of God that there should be a law which should bring men on to unequal grounds.
  3.   17 Now, how could a man repent except he should sin? How could he sin if there was no law? How could there be a law save there was a punishment?
  4.   5 And this shall be a law unto you, that ye receive not the teachings of any that shall come before you as revelations or commandments;
  5.   26 For this shall be a law unto the inhabitants of Zion, or in any of her stakes which are organized.
  6.   4 And after that, those who have thus been tithed shall pay one-tenth of all their interest annually; and this shall be a standing law unto them forever, for my holy priesthood, saith the Lord.
