With God

  1.   22 And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
          •  •  •
24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.
  2.   9 ¶ These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
  3.   28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
  4.   17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
  5.   45 And the people said unto Saul, Shall Jonathan die, who hath wrought this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: as the Lord liveth, there shall not one hair of his head fall to the ground; for he hath wrought with God this day. So the people rescued Jonathan, that he died not.
  6.   5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.
  7.   21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for God commanded me to make haste: forbear thee from meddling with God, who is with me, that he destroy thee not.
  8.   3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.
  9.   2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
  10.   3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
  11.   21 O that one might plead for a man with God, as a man pleadeth for his neighbour!
  12.   4 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?
  13.   13 This is the portion of a wicked man with God, and the heritage of oppressors, which they shall receive of the Almighty.
  14.   9 For he hath said, It profiteth a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.
          •  •  •
23 For he will not lay upon man more than right; that he should enter into judgment with God.
  15.   22 Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty.
  16.   8 And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God.
  17.   4 Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have spent my strength for nought, and in vain: yet surely my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.
  18.   8 The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.
  19.   12 Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints.
  20.   3 ¶ He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
  21.   8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
  22.   26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.
  23.   27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.
  24.   30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
          •  •  •
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
  25.   52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
  26.   11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
          •  •  •
27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
  27.   1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
  28.   18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
  29.   11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
  30.   1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
  31.   14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
  32.   9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.
          •  •  •
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
  33.   24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.
  34.   6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
  35.   6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;
  36.   4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
  37.   20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.
  38.   21 Wherefore, if ye have sought to do wickedly in the days of your probation, then ye are found unclean before the judgment-seat of God; and no unclean thing can dwell with God; wherefore, ye must be cast off forever.
  39.   4 Then I said, I have labored in vain, I have spent my strength for naught and in vain; surely my judgment is with the Lord, and my work with my God.
  40.   41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.
  41.   5 And we are willing to enter into a covenant with our God to do his will, and to be obedient to his commandments in all things that he shall command us, all the remainder of our days, that we may not bring upon ourselves a never-ending torment, as has been spoken by the angel, that we may not drink out of the cup of the wrath of God.
          •  •  •
8 And under this head ye are made free, and there is no other head whereby ye can be made free. There is no other name given whereby salvation cometh; therefore, I would that ye should take upon you the name of Christ, all you that have entered into the covenant with God that ye should be obedient unto the end of your lives.
  42.   1 And now, king Benjamin thought it was expedient, after having finished speaking to the people, that he should take the names of all those who had entered into a covenant with God to keep his commandments.
  43.   23 They are raised to dwell with God who has redeemed them; thus they have eternal life through Christ, who has broken the bands of death.
  44.   31 Yea, they did mourn for their departure, for they knew not whither they had fled. Now they would have gladly joined with them, for they themselves had entered into a covenant with God to serve him and keep his commandments.
32 And now since the coming of Ammon, king Limhi had also entered into a covenant with God, and also many of his people, to serve him and keep his commandments.
  45.   10 Nevertheless Alma labored much in the spirit, wrestling with God in mighty prayer, that he would pour out his Spirit upon the people who were in the city; that he would also grant that he might baptize them unto repentance.
  46.   18 And this they did, it being in their view a testimony to God, and also to men, that they never would use weapons again for the shedding of man’s blood; and this they did, vouching and covenanting with God, that rather than shed the blood of their brethren they would give up their own lives; and rather than take away from a brother they would give unto him; and rather than spend their days in idleness they would labor abundantly with their hands.
          •  •  •
22 And thus without meeting any resistance, they did slay a thousand and five of them; and we know that they are blessed, for they have gone to dwell with their God.
  47.   8 Now whether there is more than one time appointed for men to rise it mattereth not; for all do not die at once, and this mattereth not; all is as one day with God, and time only is measured unto men.
  48.   22 Now this was the covenant which they made, and they cast their garments at the feet of Moroni, saying: We covenant with our God, that we shall be destroyed, even as our brethren in the land northward, if we shall fall into transgression; yea, he may cast us at the feet of our enemies, even as we have cast our garments at thy feet to be trodden under foot, if we shall fall into transgression.
  49.   40 And in this state they were to remain until the judgment day of Christ; and at that day they were to receive a greater change, and to be received into the kingdom of the Father to go no more out, but to dwell with God eternally in the heavens.
  50.   26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love endureth by diligence unto prayer, until the end shall come, when all the saints shall dwell with God.
  51.   11 Yea, signs come by faith, unto mighty works, for without faith no man pleaseth God; and with whom God is angry he is not well pleased; wherefore, unto such he showeth no signs, only in wrath unto their condemnation.
  52.   44 And they give light to each other in their times and in their seasons, in their minutes, in their hours, in their days, in their weeks, in their months, in their years—all these are one year with God, but not with man.
  53.   29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.
  54.   49 And he saw the Lord, and he walked with him, and was before his face continually; and he walked with God three hundred and sixty-five years, making him four hundred and thirty years old when he was translated.
  55.   22 And this is the genealogy of the sons of Adam, who was the son of God, with whom God, himself, conversed.
          •  •  •
39 And it came to pass when they heard him, no man laid hands on him; for fear came on all them that heard him; for he walked with God.
  56.   69 And Enoch and all his people walked with God, and he dwelt in the midst of Zion; and it came to pass that Zion was not, for God received it up into his own bosom; and from thence went forth the saying, Zion is Fled.
  57.   27 And thus Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord; for Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generation; and he walked with God, as did also his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
