Abasing themselves

  1.   4 For thus hath the Lord spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the Lord of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
  2.   7 Have I committed an offence in abasing myself that ye might be exalted, because I have preached to you the gospel of God freely?
  3.   13 Now this was a great cause for lamentations among the people, while others were abasing themselves, succoring those who stood in need of their succor, such as imparting their substance to the poor and the needy, feeding the hungry, and suffering all manner of afflictions, for Christ’s sake, who should come according to the spirit of prophecy;
  4.   42 He that exalteth himself shall be abased, and he that abaseth himself shall be exalted.
  5.   3 Nevertheless, inasmuch as thou hast abased thyself thou shalt be exalted; therefore, all thy sins are forgiven thee.
  6.   114 Let him therefore abase himself that he may be exalted. Even so. Amen.
