By faith

  1.   4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.
  2.   9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.
  3.   18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
  4.   17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
  5.   22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
          •  •  •
      28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
          •  •  •
      30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
  6.   1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
      2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
  7.   32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
  8.   20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:
  9.   24 Not for that we have dominion over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for by faith ye stand.
  10.   7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
  11.   16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
          •  •  •
      20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
  12.   11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
          •  •  •
      22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
          •  •  •
      24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.
          •  •  •
      26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
  13.   5 For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
  14.   12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
          •  •  •
      17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
  15.   9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
  16.   7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:
  17.   38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
  18.   4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
      5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
          •  •  •
      7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
      8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
      9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:
          •  •  •
      17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,
          •  •  •
      20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come.
      21 By faith Jacob, when he was a dying, blessed both the sons of Joseph; and worshipped, leaning upon the top of his staff.
      22 By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.
      23 By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months of his parents, because they saw he was a proper child; and they were not afraid of the king’s commandment.
      24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;
          •  •  •
      27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
          •  •  •
      29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land: which the Egyptians assaying to do were drowned.
      30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.
      31 By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.
  19.   24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
  20.   17 And it came to pass after I, Nephi, having heard all the words of my father, concerning the things which he saw in a vision, and also the things which he spake by the power of the Holy Ghost, which power he received by faith on the Son of God—and the Son of God was the Messiah who should come—I, Nephi, was desirous also that I might see, and hear, and know of these things, by the power of the Holy Ghost, which is the gift of God unto all those who diligently seek him, as well in times of old as in the time that he should manifest himself unto the children of men.
  21.   10 But behold, when the time cometh that they shall dwindle in unbelief, after they have received so great blessings from the hand of the Lord—having a knowledge of the creation of the earth, and all men, knowing the great and marvelous works of the Lord from the creation of the world; having power given them to do all things by faith; having all the commandments from the beginning, and having been brought by his infinite goodness into this precious land of promise—behold, I say, if the day shall come that they will reject the Holy One of Israel, the true Messiah, their Redeemer and their God, behold, the judgments of him that is just shall rest upon them.
  22.   41 But if ye will nourish the word, yea, nourish the tree as it beginneth to grow, by your faith with great diligence, and with patience, looking forward to the fruit thereof, it shall take root; and behold it shall be a tree springing up unto everlasting life.
  23.   23 And now, my brethren, I desire that ye shall plant this word in your hearts, and as it beginneth to swell even so nourish it by your faith. And behold, it will become a tree, springing up in you unto everlasting life. And then may God grant unto you that your burdens may be light, through the joy of his Son. And even all this can ye do if ye will. Amen.
  24.   5 And now, Zerahemnah, I command you, in the name of that all-powerful God, who has strengthened our arms that we have gained power over you, by our faith, by our religion, and by our rites of worship, and by our church, and by the sacred support which we owe to our wives and our children, by that liberty which binds us to our lands and our country; yea, and also by the maintenance of the sacred word of God, to which we owe all our happiness; and by all that is most dear unto us—
  25.   3 For he did cry from the morning, even until the going down of the sun, exhorting the people to believe in God unto repentance lest they should be destroyed, saying unto them that by faith all things are fulfilled—
          •  •  •
      7 For it was by faith that Christ showed himself unto our fathers, after he had risen from the dead; and he showed not himself unto them until after they had faith in him; wherefore, it must needs be that some had faith in him, for he showed himself not unto the world.
          •  •  •
      10 Behold it was by faith that they of old were called after the holy order of God.
      11 Wherefore, by faith was the law of Moses given. But in the gift of his Son hath God prepared a more excellent way; and it is by faith that it hath been fulfilled.
          •  •  •
      16 Yea, and even all they who wrought miracles wrought them by faith, even those who were before Christ and also those who were after.
      17 And it was by faith that the three disciples obtained a promise that they should not taste of death; and they obtained not the promise until after their faith.
          •  •  •
      20 And behold, we have seen in this record that one of these was the brother of Jared; for so great was his faith in God, that when God put forth his finger he could not hide it from the sight of the brother of Jared, because of his word which he had spoken unto him, which word he had obtained by faith.
      21 And after the brother of Jared had beheld the finger of the Lord, because of the promise which the brother of Jared had obtained by faith, the Lord could not withhold anything from his sight; wherefore he showed him all things, for he could no longer be kept without the veil.
      22 And it is by faith that my fathers have obtained the promise that these things should come unto their brethren through the Gentiles; therefore the Lord hath commanded me, yea, even Jesus Christ.
      23 And I said unto him: Lord, the Gentiles will mock at these things, because of our weakness in writing; for Lord thou hast made us mighty in word by faith, but thou hast not made us mighty in writing; for thou hast made all this people that they could speak much, because of the Holy Ghost which thou hast given them;
  26.   25 Wherefore, by the ministering of angels, and by every word which proceeded forth out of the mouth of God, men began to exercise faith in Christ; and thus by faith, they did lay hold upon every good thing; and thus it was until the coming of Christ.
      26 And after that he came men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God. And as surely as Christ liveth he spake these words unto our fathers, saying: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing that ye shall receive, behold, it shall be done unto you.
          •  •  •
      37 Behold I say unto you, Nay; for it is by faith that miracles are wrought; and it is by faith that angels appear and minister unto men; wherefore, if these things have ceased wo be unto the children of men, for it is because of unbelief, and all is vain.
  27.   25 And the first fruits of repentance is baptism; and baptism cometh by faith unto the fulfilling the commandments; and the fulfilling the commandments bringeth remission of sins;
  28.   2 And it is by your faith that you shall obtain a view of them, even by that faith which was had by the prophets of old.
  29.   2 And all things shall be done by common consent in the church, by much prayer and faith, for all things you shall receive by faith. Amen.
  30.   10 Yea, signs come by faith, not by the will of men, nor as they please, but by the will of God.
      11 Yea, signs come by faith, unto mighty works, for without faith no man pleaseth God; and with whom God is angry he is not well pleased; wherefore, unto such he showeth no signs, only in wrath unto their condemnation.
  31.   53 And who overcome by faith, and are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, which the Father sheds forth upon all those who are just and true.
  32.   99 The Lord hath brought again Zion;
    The Lord hath redeemed his people, Israel,
    According to the election of grace,
    Which was brought to pass by the faith
    And covenant of their fathers.
  33.   118 And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.
  34.   7 And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom, seek learning even by study and also by faith;
          •  •  •
      14 And do thou grant, Holy Father, that all those who shall worship in this house may be taught words of wisdom out of the best books, and that they may seek learning even by study, and also by faith, as thou hast said;
