¶ Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whethertheywill walk in my law, or no.

And they, whethertheywill hear, or whethertheywill forbear, (for theyare a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whethertheywill hear, or whethertheywill forbear: for theyare most rebellious.

And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy
people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord God; whethertheywill hear, or whethertheywill forbear.

And it came to pass that Ammon said unto them: Behold, I and my brethren will go forth into the land of Zarahemla, and ye shall remain here until we return; and we will try the hearts of our brethren, whethertheywill that ye shall come into their land.

And my father also was killed by them, and I even remain alone to write
the sad tale of the destruction of my people. But behold, they are gone, and I fulfil the commandment of my father. And whethertheywill slay me, I know not.
