And it came to pass that inthe first year of the reign of Alma inthejudgment-seat, there was a man brought before him to be judged, a man who was large, and was noted for his much strength.

And notwithstanding the many labors which I have performed inthe church, I have never received so much as even one senine for my labor; neither has any of my brethren, save it were inthejudgment-seat; and then we have received only according to law for our time.

Yea, behold it is now even at your doors; yea, go ye in unto thejudgment-seat, and search; and behold, your judge is murdered, and he lieth in his blood; and he hath been murdered by his brother, who seeketh to sit inthejudgment-seat.

And it came to pass that they ran in their might, and came in unto thejudgment-seat; and behold, the chief judge had fallen to the earth, and did lie in his blood.
