¶ Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.

Behold, O Lord, their souls are precious,
and many of them are our brethren; therefore, give unto us, O Lord,
power and wisdom that we may bring these, our brethren, again unto thee.

And now I will ease your mind somewhat on this subject. Behold, you
marvel why these things should be known so long beforehand. Behold, I
say unto you, is not a soul at this time as precious unto God as a soul will be at the time of his coming?
